    Wow. Alaska had just barely become a state. Daly says "You studied in this country even though you practice in Anchorage . . ." I was alive back then, but I wasn't aware of the concept of states until there were 50 of them.

  • @craigwheller
    @craigwheller Před 12 lety +9

    well, most European countries recognize it as legitimate medical practice as do many American insurance companies and if you've ever had a good chiropractor, you'd recognize the efficacy.

    Maybe it was the effect from having flown for the better part of 2 days to make it to New York for a WHAT'S MY LINE appearance, but Norma Godfrey seems terrified from start to finish here. But she did, indeed, stump the panel - and she IS, indeed, a very beautiful and classy lady.

  • @CyberStriker
    @CyberStriker Před 5 lety +3

    At the end, Mr. Daly said "You studied in this country, even though your practicing in Anchorage". It's funny because that was true at the time this episode was filmed in the early/mid 1950s, since Alaska only joined the US in 1959!

    • @1nm1
      @1nm1 Před rokem

      Not exactly. Alaska didn't become a STATE until 1959, but it was a US territory since it was purchased from Russia in 1867. So yes, the question is weird at best or inaccurate at worst.

  • @wmlfan9
    @wmlfan9 Před 15 lety +5

    "You studied in this country even though you're practising in Anchorage." What an odd thing to say. Daly also refers to Alaska as "that new state of ours'. So in effect he's saying how ironic that an American chiropractor practising in the United States studied in the United States.

    Dorothy unfairly lost her turn. She asked, literally, "You work in a hospital?" and was given a "no" and loss of her turn. If she had asked, "Do you work in a hospital?" this would have been appropriate. But clearly, her intent was to ask John "Has it been established that Dr. Godfied works in a hospital?" Such a question to clarify the current knowledge status, under the rules, should not result in a loss of turn. John screwed up.

    • @justafanintexas7913
      @justafanintexas7913 Před 6 lety +6

      Wrong. What set this up bad for Dorothy was the question asked before that went, "Can you do this in a clinic or hospital?" Dorothy then assumed she worked in a hospital and asked as such. The answer is no.

      So you think a man who is real chummy with all his globalist Jew friends and who gave the hand of his daughter to a globalist Jew banker is a nazi? Nazi stands for National Socialist in German. Na Zi. Not neocon globalist. The two are exact opposites. The closet America ever had to a national socialist government was FDR. He was both a nationalist and a socialist.
