Hey Sean can you do a video on which plugin subscription model is good according to you at this period of time.
A mastering follow up to this would be great
I'll see what I can do!
@@SeanDivine LETS GOOOOO! 🔥🔥🔥
manley f tyme see you used this one
Elated to see you. Sean Divine. My Brethren. remain blessed
💚
What do you usually have the beat hit at dB wise before recording on to it ? and where should the vocals be hitting at ?
Hey Sean. Hope your good brother. God bless amigo. I was curious , have you ever heard of the Waves Plugin called
“Center”? I’m sure you have. But would a plugin like that also help putting it on a 2 track beat to move some of it around in the stereo field ? Just curious. Thanks. You have helped my mixing a ton ! ✌🏼
I have! You can certainly try it, although I would use carefully on a 2-track or the stereo bus, not to introduce phasing issues. Vitamin is a better option for this IMO!
@@SeanDivine thanks Sean. I really appreciate it ! I actually just picked up the Waves Platinum bundle on sale they had for $98 bucks and noticed that Vitamin was included ! I need to learn how to use this as I do a lot of 2 track stuff for beats. Thank you again! Stay blessed sir !
You brought this to life, What Lufs are you hitting tho ?
Generally speaking, -9 or so.
@@SeanDivine how can I find this song I wanna hear it in the car. Also you don’t use clip gain just the fader ?
It’s not released… yet. I use clip gain when needed (pre-processing and gain staging) but not in the actual mixing process. Gotta use those faders 😁
@@SeanDivine but faders are post . Everybody do this shit so different bro 🤦🏿😭
Sean what about if you use a traditional maximizer on stereo out but not as aggresive with the gain reduction? Will this way work?
Ultimately, depends on the maximizer (some are more transparent than others). Generally speaking, yes, if the gain reduction is minimal should be fine.
Sean, what plug-ins did you use while recording your vocals, and what levels did you have them set to... thanks. God bless you
I tracked with the vocal chain in this video, nothing else. There was also some light hardware compression on the way in. I generally keep mic input levels around -25 lufs integrated (-18 peak).
🥰❤️❣️
~ can this plugins or presets compatible to the ADOBE AUDITION CC ? sorry i don't familiarity with the this DAW.. :(
bro preset free link plasee
Bounce the stems. It’s a lot of stem separating plugins available now
Which one do you use?
Waves vs slate vs UAD vs NI
Hey ça faisait longtemps
Good to be back! 🙏
I’m very new to recording rap vocals. I record about -12 db, I cut out 70 and under do a bit more EQ stuff, use a de-esser, compression, sometimes Valhalla on a send, sometimes double vocals and pan the ad-libs, but have no clue about mastering. What even is it? Do I use a limiter? Should I use saturation?

@@SeanDivine Thank you very much bro
✝️✝️✝️✝️ Nice tutorial

3 questions: One, is there any other plugin I could use that isn't the Waves MutltiMaximizer, but has similar features? I use Logic, any stock plugins that are similar? I also have Slate Digital, Antares, and Softube...I'll buy Waves soon enough lol
Second, is this song considered mastered to you? It sounded mastered to me, but would you consider that just a mix? Would you bounce that out for a separate mastering session?
Third, when mixing/mastering a 2-track beat, SHOULD ONE NEVER USE A LIMITER on the stereo output for a 2-track production, at least not a pure one, or one that can't do individual band frequencies? Is that MultiMaximizer not a limiter? What is that plugin exactly? Just wanna be clear here...thanks for the video!
You could try the Multipressor in Logic. It's just a multiband compressor (not a limiter). I would suggest keeping ratios / attenuation very low to keep the effect from wrecking your dynamics. You can definitely use a standard limiter. It's just generally not going to be as transparent in the low end or have as much control as we have in this case.
@@SeanDivine Ok great, thanks for the advice and response! I'm planning on getting a Waves subscription this weekend but until then.. haha
@@SeanDivine And I just wanna say, you seem like a great guy, and you're super talented! Thanks again for all work that you're doing!
hey so i would like someone mastering master this if it alr sounds mastereddd
This is intended just for creating a commercial level mix (playing in the car, sharing with friends, etc). If you’re sending to an outside mastering engineer, take off the plugins on the stereo bus and turn down the master output to provide some headroom.
@@SeanDivine ohh but u can basically use this as ur own mastered if u wanted to?
So before you master you take the limiter off?
Yes
ughhh ik im being so annoying right neow but i dont understand the limiter thingy u use for the 2 beat sound track or how ever its called like how do u know what to do with it and when do u stopp
If the beat is already at commercial loudness, set the ceiling to -1 and leave the threshold alone. If you need to bring the overall level up with your vocals, pull down the threshold lightly as needed and keep the gain reduction to a minimum!
@@SeanDivine thank u so much!!! Keep doing what ur doinggg!!
Wich DAW is this ?
Logic Pro
Can you make a mastering on a 2 track beat now 😭
What a amazing job brother.. you are you a Christian artist.. I've been making music for the KINGDOM but I just do it for his Glory .. I don't make money from it.. but I hope to.use some of your skills
how much u push limiter on vocal chain?😁
sound expensive vocals b
I don't know why people always shit on two tracks
Bro no way your vocals were mixed that good with just the Rvox lol
YOO I JUST DROPPED OF A COUPLE SONGS FOR HIS GLORY.. GIVE ME SOME FEED BACK. IF YOU DONT MIND.. WELL ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME.
😂 GOD BLESS
