I live in Ireland close to what is winterfell and about 7miles from the mourne mountains were lots of Stark scenes were filmed in Tollymore forest and Leitrim lodge . Sometimes I just sit no matter what the weather under a tree were the different scenes were shot and listen to this. Leitrim lodge is were one such tree is were a scene were Hodor and Bran were filmed! Absolutely beautiful ☘☘☘

Yeh it's the best time of the year. I actually like walking to work with a huge warm coat on, your breath steaming, cool air on your face whilst the rest of your body is warm. Hearing the House Stark theme makes me nostalgic. The Starks suffered so much, yet still didn’t give up and came out stronger. Game of Thrones was absolutely incredible, a true masterpiece

Sansa became the Queen of the North, Arya went west to find and explore more lands, and Jon found out his true lineage being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and went across the wall to live his life with the wildlings. So to me, that means House Stark won the Game of Thrones.
I remember when Ned was holding Lyana's baby and the scene transited from the baby's face to Jon's face and this theme started playing. I remember myself having goosebumps, absolutely shocked to know that Jon is a Targaryen, my eyes wide open, and my mind unable to fathom all that in that instant. Despite the ending and poorly written final season, Game of Thrones is one of the greatest shows in television history. And this theme is my favorite.

Winterfell feels like home. Ever since I heard the Stark theme it connected to me like crazy, the melancholy, the somberness, the weird comfort in looking at all the land covered in snow. It just made me feel like I belong. If I had a choice, I'd live in the cold for as long as I can bear it. I was born in the early winter season, some people say it's strange to be so in love with the cold but I can't help it.

Very relatable. Theirs is a story about kids leaving home to pursue their dreams out in the world. The paths taken towards those ends are never quite what one imagines. And when the kids are all grown and changed certainly by paths taken, they come back home and tell their stories (those who do return of course), and they have quite amazing stories to tell.

Back in the old days, things definitely weren't great in many aspects but I sometimes wonder... Back then so many things were shrouded in mystery, so many places undiscovered, you'd never know what you'll find there. The mystery is the spice I miss in modern life, we arrogantly suppose that we know everything because we have our smartphones to tell us what is what at all times. No land unseen, no stone unturned. I feel sad when I see old, beautiful buildings decay into nothing, replaced by glass giants with no soul... That's why so many of us escape into a different land and even into a different life when we listen to this music. We want adventure, mysticism and meaning. Something bigger than a humdrum job for the sake of giving our money away to corporations that persuaded us that we need their useless trinkets.... Ahhh, escapism ❤️
What you're looking for is called traditionalism. And you are not alone in wanting it. I too despise modern architecture and decadence. I wish we could return to the dark ages, if only to experience it and enjoy the simple pleasures and simple needs. What I wouldn't give to receive a summons from a king, Don my armor and ride off for glory and fame! We definitely lost something when we left that lifestyle behind.

It's so fitting that the stark theme played for the reveal of Jon Snow actually being Aegon Targaryan. The music pays homage, not to the importance of Jon's real heritage, but rather to the family he grew up with, specifically, Ned Stark. It's a good reminder that our blood only means so much, what matters more is the ones who care for us, fight for us, and stand with us.
The sad theme at the start made me realize the sad theme simply IS the Stark theme. It's actually fitting. Tragedy never really stops for them throughout the whole series.
Sooo Bran the useless is King, Sansa the angry is Queen, John the nobody is in his home, Arya goes full Colombus with no experience, seems kinda like a happy ending for the starks no ?

Fact is, there is NO excuses for Sansa to hate on Daenerys. This girl brought hundred of thousand of men to fight the dead, in exchange of nothing, in the North where Starks' own allies did not come. Plus, Daenerys was fighting Cersei, the cause of all problems. Daenerys was the BEST ally Sansa ever had. So yeah, Sansa is an angry princess, and of course she had an happy ending, as Arya, as John, this ending is just Catelyn Stark nonsense dreaming.

The Starks went through hell to free the North and then Jon just gave it away to Daenerys. You can hate Sansa all you want, but don't pretend she had absolutely no reason to be a little untrusting with Daenerys. She was a stranger, with a lot of power and she wanted the North. That's enough for Sansa to want her out of her home.

I think what the statement means, is that a wolf who strays away from the pack dies, but wolves thatbstick together survive. The Starks although they were dealt some casualties, the ones that stayed together survived for the most part.
I LITERALLY get goosebumps and for some reason very emotional whenever I listen to this theme. The violin just brings this theme to another level. Love it so much.
Nah, You have to close the show and wrap up the story well otherwise you risk the legacy (Of the show only) and once it surpassed the books it took a slow slide downhill yet still some fantastic episodes but S7 and S8 were a mess. There are other all time great shows that had stellar last seasons. I wont go back and watch it again ( I was on my 3rd time I think) because I know now how horribly the characters were ruined and what happens so will sit and hope to the Lord of Light that the books get finished. Season1-4 are all time great TV though.
Meh. I mean, I wouldn't call it "the best". It's good at most. Seasons 7 & 8 messed the whole show up tbh. The ending being bad does betray the whole show. Since the characters had such terrible character arcs, some of their journeys seem pointless now. Take Jon as an example, if you will
When I started watching GOT, I was always eager to know what's gonna happen in the next episode. I watched 2, 3 and sometimes more episodes continuously. I completed the series but somehow it is never over for me. Listening to this music makes me feel that I was a part of this story and there is no way I can go back
Hearing this music makes me feel like I'm truly in Winterfell.. Riding a horse with your companion on the roads in the forest.. In the winter season.. At evening.. Snow falls.. The trees are slowly dancing from the wind.. And all you feel is comfort because you have been traveling on these roads dozens of times.. Going home from patrolling and Thinking about the excitement of meeting with your family.. Drinking, singing, laughing with your friends at the Tavern..

As do our own children in the here and now. Today our world is a tough place to grow up in, being a kid in the 80s was easy now looking back. The world we get handed by our parents has less and less in it it seems to me. Got to support our youngsters.

I'm so used to getting my feelings and opinions dismissed by older generations than my own; complaining that we know nothing of what the world really is, and how painful and scary it is, all because we are so young. It digs at you making you feel empty, it hurts. My brain feels like it's screaming.I had a wonderful childhood until around 2014, when things started to feel different, and 2018 was the worst. It's not just personal experience, it's not just growing up it's all that's been left compiled.

I know what you feel! Ive seen ALOT of TV Series in my life and I mean alot. But something about this show has such a grasp on me. im literally emotionally attached to it and no other show compares! I love it so much I got the House Stark Wolf tattooed on me.

Why am i crying? Listening to this soundtrack I'm remembering when I read the first sentences of the first book "A Game of Thrones" and thought - This is it. This will be my favorite book serie. It all started with the Starks and the beautiful Winterfell so I feel personally connected to their story and this soundtrack.

This makes me sad about 2 things 1. The characters and the story of the starks 2. The downfall of got and how it went from the best show of all time to a mediocre story that ruined it all
The story of the Starks is sad because they weren't all together in the end like we all assumed would happen. Story telling sucked, but man if the story wasn't ALWAYS about the Starks.
Fletcher Sykes season 8 alone doesn’t warrant game of thrones as a whole a terrible written story. Season 1-4 on their own are still amazing seasons but just ruined by season 8. The show overall is mediocre due to season 8, but season 8 itself is the worst season of television ever made
It has been 4 years since she became the Queen in the North. Winter has gone past its youth, slowly dying the periodical death. Now the red leaves of the Weirwood in the Gods wood of Winterfell can be seen from the balcony. The frozen pond in the Godswood has started melting. Now ripples appear when a leaf falls on its ancient water. Wolves howl at the distant forest. Nothing much has changed since the day Winterfell was taken back from the Boltons by the Starks. Sansa is standing on the balcony, looking longingly across the desert like, snow covered pastures of the North, towards the horizon. She often prefers to stand there, all alone, staring at the horizon as if John or Arya were about to be back at home. She hasn't heard much from Bran except the occasional raven carrying official messages. She hasn't gone back to the capital since then. Though all those frightening experiences on King's Landing has now become memories, she still feels a terror taking hold of her the moment she thinks about going to visit Bran. Arya has sent her a Kolnesian furr robe through a merchant who travelled to The North. Arya often sends her gifts and messages through merchants. She also writes about the places she visits. She doesn't send ravens. "The west of Westeros may not have Ravens", thought Sansa. Jon is the one whom she misses the most. She has heard nothing from the north of the wall since he was deported to beyond the wall. "He may be angry with everything and everyone", thought Sansa a moment. "No he can't be!, that is not the Jon I know", thought Sansa the next moment. She would like to believe that Jon is living a peaceful life.

This makes me look forward to the winter. It's a paradoxical feeling, but I just love sitting outside at night during a snowfall. I live by I-95 in the US. I hear cars all the time. When it snows, it is silent. This music brings me back to that cold still calmness.

First time watching GoT, Robb Stark's death came out of no where. I wasn't expecting it, and hit me in the feels. He was my favorite character. Keep thinking about what it would be like if he lived with his would-be son, Ned. Good music, I loved the Starks.
Eddard Stark is the story of so many in real life. We live, and give, in honorable fashion. We wish only well to those around us, and would come to their aid should they call. His way of honor touches the soul of so many, and, unfortunately, we end up paying for it with the most precious of things we call our own. That's why I'm a Stark fan, because it is our story, our sad legacy.

The music is gorgeous...The composer and musicians are so talented. If you have the opportunity to attend a Game of Thrones concert, I highly recommend it. I went last year to the one in Fort Lauderdale and this summer, there will be another one in Broward County.

Hearing the House Stark theme makes me nostalgic. The Starks suffered so much, yet still didn’t give up and came out stronger. Game of Thrones was absolutely incredible, a true masterpiece

Actually, that is incorrect. Sansa became the Queen of the North, Arya went west to find and explore more lands, and Jon found out his true lineage being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and went across the wall to live his life with the wildlings. So to me, that means House Stark won the Game of Thrones.

I remember when Ned was holding Lyana's baby and the scene transited from the baby's face to Jon's face and this theme started playing. I remember myself having goosebumps, absolutely shocked to know that Jon is a Targaryen, my eyes wide open, and my mind unable to fathom all that in that instant. Despite the ending and poorly written final season, Game of Thrones is one of the greatest shows in television history. And this theme is my favorite.

Winterfell feels like home. Ever since I heard the Stark theme it connected to me like crazy, the melancholy, the somberness, the weird comfort in looking at all the land covered in snow. It just made me feel like I belong. If I had a choice, I'd live in the cold for as long as I can bear it.

Very relatable. Theirs is a story about kids leaving home to pursue their dreams out in the world. The paths taken towards those ends are never quite what one imagines. And when the kids are all grown and changed certainly by paths taken, they come back home and tell their stories (those who do return of course), and they have quite amazing stories to tell.

Back in the old days, things definitely weren't great in many aspects but I sometimes wonder... Back then so many things were shrouded in mystery, so many places undiscovered, you'd never know what you'll find there. The mystery is the spice I miss in modern life, we arrogantly suppose that we know everything because we have our smartphones to tell us what is what at all times. No land unseen, no stone unturned. I feel sad when I see old, beautiful buildings decay into nothing, replaced by glass giants with no soul... That's why so many of us escape into a different land and even into a different life when we listen to this music. We want adventure, mysticism and meaning. Something bigger than a humdrum job for the sake of giving our money away to corporations that persuaded us that we need their useless trinkets.... Ahhh, escapism ❤️
What you're looking for is called traditionalism. And you are not alone in wanting it. I too despise modern architecture and decadence. I wish we could return to the dark ages, if only to experience it and enjoy the simple pleasures and simple needs. What I wouldn't give to receive a summons from a king, Don my armor and ride off for glory and fame! We definitely lost something when we left that lifestyle behind.

What’s fascinating to me is this theme often plays when family members are going their separate ways or when tragedy and loss occurs. And it represents a family that is torn apart from each other and scattered, filled with pain and sadness. It’s a somber piece. And yet, every time I hear it I think of home. And I feel hopeful and nostalgic

It's so fitting that the stark theme played for the reveal of Jon Snow actually being Aegon Targaryan. The music pays homage, not to the importance of Jon's real heritage, but rather to the family he grew up with, specifically, Ned Stark. It's a good reminder that our blood only means so much, what matters more is the ones who care for us, fight for us, and stand with us.
In the books he’s going to end up being Ned + Asharas child.....making him the ONLY true born Stark and the rest bastards.

The sad theme at the start made me realize the sad theme simply IS the Stark theme. It's actually fitting. Tragedy never really stops for them throughout the whole series.

Plus, Daenerys was fighting Cersei, the cause of all problems. Daenerys was the BEST ally Sansa ever had.
So yeah, Sansa is an angry princess, and of course she had an happy ending, as Arya, as John, this ending is just Catelyn Stark nonsense dreaming.

Aria didn't die and she was a lone wolf, my fav character.
I think what the statement means, is that a wolf who strays away from the pack dies, but wolves thatbstick together survive. The Starks although they were dealt some casualties, the ones that stayed together survived for the most part.
Arya is also my favorite character of both the book series of A Song of Ice and Fire and the tv series of Game of Thrones.
It's really ironic that they then made all the Starks lone wolves in the end then. Epesially Arya and Sansa.
I LITERALLY get goosebumps and for some reason very emotional whenever I listen to this theme. The violin just brings this theme to another level. Love it so much.

No matter your opinions on the ending, I think the journey alone makes this *The* best show ever made in my opinion...
Nah, You have to close the show and wrap up the story well otherwise you risk the legacy (Of the show only) and once it surpassed the books it took a slow slide downhill yet still some fantastic episodes but S7 and S8 were a mess. There are other all time great shows that had stellar last seasons. I wont go back and watch it again ( I was on my 3rd time I think) because I know now how horribly the characters were ruined and what happens so will sit and hope to the Lord of Light that the books get finished. Season1-4 are all time great TV though.
up to season 5 it was no doubt, sadly d&d cant invent cool stuff like grrm did, when books ended show went to pit... very sad, so much potential....

Meh. I mean, I wouldn't call it "the best". It's good at most. Seasons 7 & 8 messed the whole show up tbh. The ending being bad does betray the whole show. Since the characters had such terrible character arcs, some of their journeys seem pointless now. Take Jon as an example, if you will
When I started watching GOT, I was always eager to know what's gonna happen in the next episode. I watched 2, 3 and sometimes more episodes continuously. I completed the series but somehow it is never over for me. Listening to this music makes me feel that I was a part of this story and there is no way I can go back

The trees are slowly dancing from the wind.. And all you feel is comfort because you have been traveling on these roads dozens of times.. Going home from patrolling and Thinking about the excitement of meeting with your family.. Drinking, singing, laughing with your friends at the Tavern..

This is the best house in all of game of thrones because of how much they have suffered more than any other house besides the targaryens.
Those kids grew up and survived so much, changed so much. I think they did their Family name proud.
As do our own children in the here and now. Today our world is a tough place to grow up in, being a kid in the 80s was easy now looking back. The world we get handed by our parents has less and less in it it seems to me. Got to support our youngsters.

It's not just personal experience, it's not just growing up it's all that's been left compiled.

Why am i crying? Listening to this soundtrack I'm remembering when I read the first sentences of the first book "A Game of Thrones" and thought - This is it. This will be my favorite book serie. It all started with the Starks and the beautiful Winterfell so I feel personally connected to their story and this soundtrack.

This makes me sad about 2 things
1. The characters and the story of the starks
2. The downfall of got and how it went from the best show of all time to a mediocre story that ruined it all
Mediocre is being very kind.
The story of the Starks is sad because they weren't all together in the end like we all assumed would happen. Story telling sucked, but man if the story wasn't ALWAYS about the Starks.
Fletcher Sykes season 8 alone doesn’t warrant game of thrones as a whole a terrible written story. Season 1-4 on their own are still amazing seasons but just ruined by season 8. The show overall is mediocre due to season 8, but season 8 itself is the worst season of television ever made

Now the red leaves of the Weirwood in the Gods wood of Winterfell can be seen from the balcony. The frozen pond in the Godswood has started melting. Now ripples appear when a leaf falls on its ancient water. Wolves howl at the distant forest. Nothing much has changed since the day Winterfell was taken back from the Boltons by the Starks. Sansa is standing on the balcony, looking longingly across the desert like, snow covered pastures of the North, towards the horizon. She often prefers to stand there, all alone, staring at the horizon as if John or Arya were about to be back at home. She hasn't heard much from Bran except the occasional raven carrying official messages. She hasn't gone back to the capital since then. Though all those frightening experiences on King's Landing has now become memories, she still feels a terror taking hold of her the moment she thinks about going to visit Bran. Arya has sent her a Kolnesian furr robe through a merchant who travelled to The North. Arya often sends her gifts and messages through merchants. She also writes about the places she visits. She doesn't send ravens. "The west of Westeros may not have Ravens", thought Sansa. Jon is the one whom she misses the most. She has heard nothing from the north of the wall since he was deported to beyond the wall. "He may be angry with everything and everyone", thought Sansa a moment. "No he can't be!, that is not the Jon I know", thought Sansa the next moment. She would like to believe that Jon is living a peaceful life.

This makes me look forward to the winter. It's a paradoxical feeling, but I just love sitting outside at night during a snowfall. I live by I-95 in the US. I hear cars all the time. When it snows, it is silent. This music brings me back to that cold still calmness.

First time watching GoT, Robb Stark's death came out of no where. I wasn't expecting it, and hit me in the feels. He was my favorite character. Keep thinking about what it would be like if he lived with his would-be son, Ned.

His way of honor touches the soul of so many, and, unfortunately, we end up paying for it with the most precious of things we call our own. That's why I'm a Stark fan, because it is our story, our sad legacy.

The music is gorgeous...The composer and musicians are so talented. If you have the opportunity to attend a Game of Thrones concert, I highly recommend it. I went last year to the one in Fort Lauderdale and this summer, there will be another one in Broward County.
