But, where else can you save the image to? Can you insert the lifted photo into a different one? If not, this isn't super useful. Edit: after watching other videos about this same feature, I can say this video was not helpful at all either.

Only the leftys at Apple would deliver a ‘cut’ function without a ‘paste’, so stupid.

Ut how do you LAYER the copied objects from photos??? Paste them onto blank screen. Then add another layer etc???
Is there a way to edit the what it lifts? It’s cutting off needed sections and leaving in sections I want to remove
Apple needs their on photo ending so that you can add a different background for those copied photos
Can you actually remove a person or object from a picture? So if i take a pic, and dont want an object or person in the pic can i remove it like with the Samsung S22?

When the update first came out, I copy and pasted an image into an Instagram post!! And fricken heck if I’m not here in CZcams trying to figure out why I can’t do it anymore!!! It took literal seconds!! FINALLY, we have this feature and can only put it in messenger?! And why is no one showing us how to add the picture to another project? I’m so confused. Lol

Just downloaded 16.1.1 on my iPhone 11. This feature doesn’t work.
It might be a 12 and up feature cause I have a 13 mini and it works fine

It would be cool if we can take those items out of the picture and then put them on say a solid background. Or just changing the background completely.
I’m here for that exact reason! It’s nuts because it’ll copy what I want and make it it’s own picture but, so far as I can tell, there seems to be no way to paste it onto another photo which seems like it should be incredibly easy to do. My hope is that someone comments and I’m just slow and missing something. 😆

add to notes and long press select small photo it will shrink it than you can copy or share

I have both an iPhone 12 Pro Max (16.1.2) and an iPad 9th generation (16.1.1). This doesn’t work on either one.
When I crop a picture in editing, it shifts the photo after I already set it exactly the gram section I wanted. Then/or after I set up crop frame shape of picture I edit, then shifts the photo out of place after I press done. How do I stop it from messing up my crops my iPhone 13 and now new iPhone 15 is doing this. How do I fix this screw up??

How do I swipe to my text messages so easy like you do and where are you dropping to image. I cannot get this to work. I also am having problems with the selection part. It only works if I highlight.

I highlighted a item in a pic and it shot to the top left corner of my phone I wanna know we’re it went lol
I’m in process of updating to this newest version right now. I’m really bad at staying up to date on these and just happened across this video after searching for how to I edit a portrait using native iPhone apps. This still won’t get rid of the zit on my chin though.
So it sounds like this new feature allows you to isolate the subject deleting everything else, right? So is that what the last few options in portrait mode were designed to do? I’ve never found a use for those… has anyone else?

Doing too much…when you grab the object it’s copying it so you just have to paste it…all the sliding and two-handed actions are unnecessary
