But with such a patriarchal society like China, I think this only encourages this type of behavior that much more. It looks like the actresses take their tolls, for not only our need for “romance” on television and the movies, but also from the industry’s males that work with them. 😢
For the men it is extremely profitable to be idolised for their looks and acting abilities. Once they start and manage to be successful, their staying power in front of or behind the camera seems beyond limits.
This hits totally different for women, with some rare exceptions.
The idolisation of actresses in the entertainment industry seems to lead to a fake golden cage, where you need to work hard to stay imprisoned and relevant.
They should be payed more than the male stars! Cause they really need their teams, entourage and security to stay mentally and physically safe, not only from their fans & anti-fans.

Their industry is very much like the 1950s Hollywood movie era, where the actors and actresses are controlled by the studios. The actresses then were exploited the way most in the Chinese system are now, with everything, including their hair and private lives, carefully controlled until they are big enough to break free (like Yang Zi). It seems that the 1950s Hollywood Casting Couch has certainly been moved to Chinese studios. BY THE WAY, I'm not saying this problem doesn't exist still in Hollywood. As recent as a few years ago, big name actresses had kept mum about a certain Harvey Weinstein.

I have just realized in the last several months that 1 of my favorite Cdrama leads may be one of these predators. It was from a 5 second clip in a drama, so I won’t know for sure unless I see another instance of this conduct. But, it is strange that the scene was cut at that moment in the drama, and I’m so disappointed about how he sneakily tried to do what he did. He’s one of the top actors in China, and I’ve loved all of his dramas so far. I can’t unsee it now, though I hope it was just a misunderstood scene by me.
Although I could be wrong, I have known 3 other K and C entertainers were bad years before it came out (and they are the only ones I’ve had that feeling about) so I’m not very hopeful that I’m wrong.

This made me wary about watching BTS scene. Recently saw how Lee Junki was assaulted during filming. Then there's also scenes where the director "show" a chinese actor how he should do a certain scene. You can rarely see womens being directed this way in BTS because they can't show it while the males that was assaulted or harassed wouldn't be taken seriously. I have recently heard about "intimacy coordinator" but this is not a thing until recently and actresses would need to hire one themselves and sometimes the director will use his authority to bypass any decisions the coordinator made and the actress will be said as difficult and chances are they will stop using her in any movies or drama. It's really a toxic industry

@@ms.chuisin7727 Yes, it’s sad for everyone who’s abused, but it may be harder for men just because if a C woman comes out and says it, the majority of the public will feel badly for her. With men, I think there’s a lot more disbelief because so many think that a man should be able to defend himself. So, either he’s perceived as weak or not believed at all. A lot of stories have come out around the world about young girls, women, and young boys being abused, but rarely will a man admit it out of shame for somehow letting it happen. If only chinese then would say probably the law and regulations need to be tighten to protect women in the chinese showbiz. Since young, my entire family including relatives never fantasized to be in the showbiz as we all are very well aware of the mistreatment and so called "pre-requisite rules" in the showbiz. We rather study hard to earn our living or living averagely than being a victims in the showbiz. Having said that sexual harrasment does happen in other industries too just that it is not as daring as in showbiz. In other industries, women are more dare to speak out and get the law to protect them as we can easily change job or find better opportunities through one experiences and capabilities unlike showbiz is very much controlled by the rich and depends on look or appearances to attracts be it the audiences or producers or directors. Most professional industries uses brain, capabilities, experiences and knowledge rather than look. So that makes a lot of difference.

I know an actor who apologised to his fans after filming a scene before the filming ended. He never say why he is apologising but we sort of know he what movie he was in. I think it's hard to be an actor who needed to be a pervert on screen while needed to maintain their image off screen, a good actor will portray a pervert as a pervert. If they think too much about it they wouldn't do good. Perhaps more preparation should be done like seriously discussing how it should be done with co-star so that no problem arise later on instead of just do whatever then getting accused as real pervert by public and the actress as well.

Cadê a amizade, a união? Pelo visto não há, é cada um por si.

I think there should be an ability for these actresses to file *Sexual Harassment* and to start keeping a camera with voice activation put in their homes for issues of producers or whomever is not invited late hours into the night to have proof of *Sexual Harassments* and to take all this proof to the authorities while filing charges. Also... having *Sexual Harrassment* done on set... while the camera is rolling ... is a work of a ***HARASSER*** ...
which the breakdown meaning is: ***The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or someone who is not an employee of the employer, such as a client or customer.***
    OR............
***What do you call someone who commits harassment?
Other forms: harassers. A harasser is someone who bothers or intimidates another person. If someone leaves you threatening messages on social media, you should report your harasser.***
Women are not a play thing... They deserve to be treated with the utmost respect. I wonder how they men would feel if someone was treating their sister or a close family member like this? It's a two way road...
The only way to stop this crap... is for these women who are not only famous ... but have a lot more power than the think.... To FIND THEIR VOICE & SPEAK UP!!!!
There is no excuse for this kind of treatment ... Although I know it happens in the industry, even over here in the U.S. ... However, women are starting to speak up here ... unless they fear the repercussions ... then they will never find that powerful voice.
It' sickens me that some of these men are those I've respected as actors.... now they just make my skin crawl.... which gives me every reason to cease watching each and every drama they come out with.

Most likely not enough variety of roles written to represent older females actresses. Age descrimination and type casting everywhere. It is weird to see young actors play a role that should have been allocated to an older actor but if the shows a hit then no one cares. Maybe female actors could set up their own production houses and write shows that include roles for mature actors but if the story, set, wardrobe and acting isn't good then it will be a financial loss.

It is sad and all about the sexual harass act it is very sad, but people prefer their leading star especially when it's involved in a romantic movie, people prefer the girl to be younger, and the men are not exempted as well if the man is not handsome he won't get the role no matter how old he is or are we going to pretend that they are not Chinese actors who have been made into a joke for their looks for their looks or called bad actors. I'm not saying that it is good but it is the preference from audiences. It is sad and it is unfair that males are not treated like that but the female dynamic is different from a male's dynamic. women can do and get away with certain things and they are things men can do and not get away with it's the way the world, it is life and sometimes it's not fair

Why have you hashtag only Zhang Zhehan's name, where are the rest of the male names. It looks like your targeting only him. Him and Jujingy had a very good playful relationship as colleague on and off screen and BTS. I understand he even met her mother. They had a brother/sister friendship. You say he was criticized by WHO? for inappropriate behavior. Did she complain? If she was so uncomfortable, why act in 2 dramas with him. Allegedly don't make it true. I don't condone inappropriate behavior myself. I've watched many of the BTS, there was Jujingy running around in between scenes chasing after Zhang Zhehan like a love sick little girl and hitting him playfully for his attention with lots of giggles. Is that appropriate behavior for a female? I look at it as being cute and them having fun, others may look at it as her seeking unnecessary attention for herself. They are known as being the best drama couple of that year. No offence to any one, but I think you should hashtag the rest of the males names you have mentioned or delete his name to be FAIR
