Why wouldn’t you just wire is straight into the battery so It can have power constantly like a radio amp or something the batteries in the back why would you run it all the way through your car to the cigarette lighter makes no sense
If u go to battery u can’t see indicator light. I did mine to center console so it always has power and I don’t have to look at the cord

My least concern is what if there's an electrical problem for example the door might stay down for some odd reason...the reason why I say this is a no go for me cause I like to smoke and ride in my cts V...nice gadget though 👍🏾
FYI, once I installed my air intake, my exhaust became louder, 4 times as loud when surpassing 2,500 RPMs. Now I no longer feel a need to mess with my exhaust, so you may not either need to after your intake is installed is my point.
That's the same way I felt when I installed my rear diffuser. Then my son said why does it sound louder. That's when I knew it wasn't just me.
Its all preference. i enjoyed my car stock but went dynomax bullets as mufflers after a year and its way too loud but i love it and work nights so i come in 6am instead of leaving.

Cool but y'all need to learn how to install Tap-A-Fuse so you don't have to use janky 12V cigg plugs and take up all your 5V usb ports with gadgets. It's extremely easy once you learn the basics. Then you'll have actual "clean" wire runs. Nice rides.

Put a rubber grommet in the hole you drilled to run the wire thru. Eventually, the edges of metal hole will rub thru the wires and cause a short-out man.

U can do it in OFF mode w/ No Key in or KeyFob near the whip..I’ve got a 2016 5.7L Hemi 1500, and one of my Cigarette Lighters can be switched to “Always On” or “Only On When Car On.” If u look in ur Main Fuse Box under hood, you’ll see where one of ur Cig Lighter or 12v (bc u have atleast 2)..well one of em u can bridge the fuse in its slot back and forth from how u want it to act..Whether u want Power coming from out of it at All Times or Only When ignition is On..if u can’t see it, then google/youtube it.. I have 2-12v Cig lighters & 2-USB(separate) w/ same circle flap that covering it as the 12v holes. I have the One Pair in my Arm Rest Console (lift up for 3rd middle seat into Bench seat up front), and the Other Pair on the lower part of my Dash on each side of the Tray under the climate control.. The Ones in my Middle Arm Rest I’ve got an Inverter plugged into it w/ 2-110v outlets & a USB-A & USB-C port located on it which regulates/cuts off if my Battery gets to a certain lvl, so I don’t end up w/ a Dead Battery..but I still unplug it when I’m not using it..
But I’ve got all of my Red Neons from the Grille to Interior + Patrol Car Standard P.A. System/CB w/ Microphone all hardwired to a clean Row of Switches I don’t need my truck to be On or have my Fob for them to work..I’m about to make my own License Plate Flipper/Hider so I’m getting all kinda ideas like this one I just saw is not bad at all & can be cheaply made if u understand electronics and engineering along w/ being a patient artist like myself..I’m a 20yr Foreman Electrician in the IBEW Union in Cali, so I build hospital and Fortune 500 company network systems from ground up.. I can afford it, but I’m not trying to spend $150 on something I can make for a few bucks on my 3D Printer w/ a tiny Hobbie Shop motor & relay. I’m not hatin, it looks tight, but it can be sweeter once u figure out that “Always On” Cig Lighter Fuse location, bc then u could be comin out the store and some shit pops off, so u hit the button on the plates before u even get near the whip so it’s already ready for u to dip without everybody on their phones tryin record ur business on tik tok.. if I know what ur doin, u can even extend the RFI Signal to that Plate Hider like a block or two away further than ur normal Fob…Aww tha Possibilities My Nigga…I’m Subscribed, but I haven’t started my ish yet, but when I’m done building it I’ll show u.
