My guess is the holes don't line up for legal reasons. I'd be concerned about wind on the front plate .

well i installed the flippers on my subie and they are amazing. i did some tin snipping to the plates im using. quiet plates, actual dmv plates, more quiet plates coming soon, and a custom subie plate. and well it works. i can flip it going fast although im scared to do it in the front. and i had to drill into my firewall for a perm setup.

This would be perfect for me, so instead of having to blur my plates or placing a scrap piece of cardboard on them while making content for my social media, I could have custom fake plates with my social media accounts or logo on 1 side, and my real license plate on the other for when im driving on the road.
Other than the plates I think the car has more urgent needs. Like a junk yard.

Probably would for show plates and road plates as country's Probably have laws of what tipe of lettering you can use on the road. A friend had plates done in red lettering (which in the UK is classified as show plates)
If they make the holes not line up with the license plate, it’s legal to sell, and when you the purchaser alter it to fit then the guilt is yours not theirs🤷🏻♂️?

It should be legal to have your real plate on it and have a secondary custom plate for like car meets. If not that's kinda dumb.
It is legal, it's just not legal to do it on the road, they're called show plates, you can do whatever you please on private property, just don't drive with the wrong plate on the road. Either way, it's just an equipment violation and at most you'll get a fix it ticket

i mean, it can do the job, but is not a great product overall. there seems to be a better version that flips the plate super quick, but is very expensive and has a lot of set up

What happens if it gets stuck at 1/2 way!
My guess is above 30mph the front one would be over powered & short out! The rear one be lifted to an illegal angle & not retract until you slowdown or got pulled over!

The only reason is was jittering when flipping was the plates getting stuck on the tape, with no obstruction im sure it would be smooth.

The holes don’t match up because this product is from china the license plates in Japan and china are different hole arrangements on the foreign plates I own a skyline from Japan and the holes on the rear of the car don’t match with USA plate holes so you need to customize this product

Why didn't you drill holes in the plate to fix the problem the right way and then hiding the wire you could have drilled a hole in the back and ran it that way
