  • I’m genuinely sorry for your loss. Please join me in this video to discuss comporting oneself at a funeral.
Practicing etiquette during a time of profound grief can be summed up in two words; solemn respect-the rest will follow; arrive early, dressed appropriately, devices silenced, voices quieted, sweet stories and memories shared, comforting support for the family.
Since time immemorial, we have honored our dead with ceremonial burials or tributes of sorts. While customs and rituals may vary considerably, our respect for a life lived and lost is universal; it transcends religions, cultures, socio-economic status, and geographical bounds. Respect is evident in how we comport ourselves at a funeral.
We honor the deceased and their family's wishes, conventional or not, with a generous spirit, full of love, and free of judgment. Hail and farewell.
