This is one of the earlier Pitch Meeting videos where the two Ryans’ had a bit more of a straight-face, they weren’t quite as perky and over the top as they are later on
It was one of the few movies that was actually upsetting - mainly for me because it seemed like it had the bones for a quality movie and actively worked to avoid that at all costs.
I love how normally he plays the characters as happy and fun, but in this one they are even extremely disinterested and sad 😂

I think that's because this is an early pitch meeting. He'd only been doing it a couple months and hadn't refined the characters. A couple hundred pitch meetings later...

It's because this was one of the first pitch meetings. As time went on they became more and more over the top.

Watched original F4 movies which overall I enjoyed but the trailers were enough of a put off that I have never watched this version of F4, but I still came here today to see the PM because 'Pitch meetings are tight' & reviewing aweful movies and shows then tearing them to shreds with humour is 'Super easy, barely an inconvenience' to Ryan which I applaud & thank him for. Congrats on getting the rightly earned Pitch Meeting channel.
Every studio should appoint Ryan as quality analyst for the scripts.
I love how we have watched Pitch Writer and Studio Executive grow from these old videos into the great team we see today.
Can't wait to see Marvel Studios use Fantastic Four.

These Pitch Meetings really improved over time. This one's still good but Ryan really found his groove with it later.
His voice and confidence isn't in this one just yet. Now he's full on RYAN!
It fits the material on this one, though.

I like them both for their own reasons while slightly similar formats. Cinemasins are just being ruthless critics in a humorous way. Pitch Meeting is funny just by stating facts from a certain perspective ,for the most part, in the form of a parody

Its really genius how subtly off tone this video is from the others, the other pitch videos are kinda fast paced and the producer and pitcher are sarcastically overjoyed about everything. In this video, things are kinda slower and the two talk really normal.Its kinda playing off of how over serious this movie is. Very big brain joke
This is an earlier pitch meeting episode. The writer and the producer got more enthusiastic and happy with each successive episode.

Yeah this was definitely one of the "OG" pitch meetings. The characters have evolved over 200 freakin meetings. Still though, the tone plays perfectly for the movie.
You can notice that even the person pitching the movie is so unsure about everything and knows it doesn’t make any sense.

Valerian is a weird one for me. I enjoyed the graphic novel, and visually the film is pretty stunning. The actors look great, all the costuming/set design/etc was great.
But the script and the acting was awful.
I would start to get into it, then a character would open their mouths and ruin it.

These earlier ones are so subdued compared to the recent pitch meetings, especially the producer
Production values have gone up a lot too. Seems like they’re using a handheld camera or something in this one. It keeps wobbling back and forth. Among other things that give the newer videos more polish.
They didn't have the chemistry together at first.
So much character development since this video was made.
Yea this was one of the first ones. They become more nad more over the top. At the start it was just a pitch meeting with 2 guys talking normal about an over thet op and illogical movie. Then it became more and more comical.
@@LordScottrick The camera wobble in the early ones was added in post (according to a half-hour interview with him you can find on CZcams). He stopped adding it in more recent PMs just to save on production time.
I love how as you watch Pitch meetings in a chronological order, you can notice how Ryan is slowly but methodically finds his absolute madness spot with time ..

Discovered this Pitch series in 2021. After working backwards and watching these older episodes I’m amazed how much Ryan refined this skit over the years.
The editing, caricatures and catch phrases on the new ones are so “tight” it makes these older ones almost unwatchable. Kudos for sticking with it.

I've been binge watching this guy all of today for the first time, and the consistently meticulous attention to deal and clear thorough examining of the movie itself and other appropriate films, mixed with comedy gold is phenomenal. Please, please keep these up your work is greatly appreciated.

Prometheus or Alien Covenant. The characters in the movie have no survival instinct. They put their face in danger or don't turn left or right when running from a rolling spaceship

i think if they're going to bring the fantastic 4 back, have it set in the 60s. somewhere between jfk's assassination and the summer of love where four young people get powers all of a sudden and become this beacon of hope until a baddie shows up and tries to stop them. then, they go into space where the baddie tries to kill them. the fantastic 4 manage to stop the baddie but are frozen in time until.... they're rescued by the guardians of the galaxy who take them to earth and they meet captain america who tells they've been frozen in time for years as he would become their mentor for the 2nd film.

This was hilarious. Ive never seen this film and i choose to never see it, but this video basic gives me an understanding of the plot, and why its so bad. Also this video was just funny in general
It's been over two years since I discovered this series thanks to this video right here. Watching it now...it's weird how the format hasn't changed much, but my brain can tell that the editing is a lot tighter, and Ryan especially is a lot broader and more confident in his delivery.
