In this video tutorial and free PDF pattern download, I show step-by-step how to create a set of fingerless gloves! I will show you each step you need to create the project, starting with the cast-on and creating the thumb opening, cast-off and seaming! The best part - this project is KNIT FLAT - no need to knit in the round :)

This has been the easiest tutorial for a rib stitch so far, as well as for fingerless gloves. I tried several other tutorials but none of them did it quite as well as you.

Just asking about how we find how many stitches we need to cast on for the glove to fit? Is there a way to do this by measuring the circumference of our hand? Also amazing tutorial, really easy to follow and helped teach me a few more knitting techniques.

Can you use long tail cast on? I find it easier...Will it come out wrong if I do that vs the one shown?
Yes you can definitely do the long tail cast on instead!

Every time i use this cast on method i end up with a string of yarn between my needles as i knit it gets bigger idk if its a tension issue or what
Omg yes I’ve dealt with that before usually with chunkier yarns. I haven’t figured out why quite yet. It never happens when I use long tail. It was a bit harder to learn but I plan to use it for this instead so it’s stretchy in the end.
I’m scared using easy/backwards loop cast on instead of long tail as shouldnt it be long tail to make sure it stretches?

You definitely could! I would recommend though leaving the Knit and purl pattern at the beginning and end portion - it tends to create a tighter fabric for edges
yes now when im half way to only stitch pattern i can see the difference.
I tried so many times to do the original way but it was just looking messy. It was my first time so I just did it the easy way. But I will try to do it again after this 😊

Try learning by reading a book, its not that hard you are holding the yarn to tight, relax relax 10:30
