If lady stops to think about it if she just wants their children on the vacation so stepson should stay behind then how would she feel if her husband said the same thing about her 10 year old. After all that’s his stepchild and according to her stepchildren are not part of their family.

If you are married to stepson’s father, he is your family. If he lives with you and suddenly you want to go on vacation and leave him behind, that would be awful for him. It took therapy for you to figure that out?
Unresolved trauma has a way of warping the way you think and view the world in ways other people can't understand. She was a complete AH but she got the therapy she needed and took the steps to become a better person.

You don't want to be a mom , then get divorce . you stepped to be a wife and a mother, dont be coward now . If you want your own family, then you should have married a single man .

@@AZUREKINY no. He’s a kid who also has an absent parent and dad has sole custody. So OP cannot expect for her husband to abandon his son because he isn’t hers and leave him out of a family holiday when for all purposes he is family whether she likes it or not. If she wants to go on her own.

Lemme ask this- is your 10 year old son going with? And is your husband going? It isn't fair if your husband's stepson can go if your stepson can't. Once you married the dad, he became your family, just like your husband did.
