Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Intelligent Software Dependability and Compliance at the University of Ottawa, Lionel Briand has led groundbreaking and impactful research in software engineering, contributing to scalable and effective methods for the verification and validation of software systems, as well as their quality assurance. His novel approaches, which rely on Artificial Intelligence, have enabled the design of intelligent solutions to ensure the reliability, safety and security of software systems.
Lionel Briand, titulaire d’une Chaire de recherche du Canada (Niveau 1) sur la fiabilité et la conformité des logiciels intelligents à l’Université d’Ottawa, a mené des recherches novatrices et importantes dans le domaine du génie logiciel, contribuant à la mise au point de méthodes évolutives et efficaces permettant de vérifier et de valider des systèmes logiciels, ainsi que d’assurer leur qualité. Ses nouvelles approches, qui s’appuient sur l’intelligence artificielle, ont permis de concevoir des solutions intelligentes pour garantir la fiabilité, la sûreté et la sécurité des systèmes logiciels.
