This is just my opinion for now, I will update the video when a few more songs come out. :) Also don't bother leaving hateful comments or I will just delete them lol, it's a music contest for fun and your personal opinion is also valid.

14. GERMANY: What is this? Whose idea was this? Where did they get this? Who agreed to this? Maybe one day I'll hate it so much i'll swivel back to loving it in a purely ironic way. He also looks a bit like Albert Cerny and that's an insult to his I M P A C T.
13. SPAIN: It's very "just okay" in every way, it really made no impact on me and I forget what it sounds like immediately after listening. Sorry, Blas. :( On the bright side, I think this makes me appreciate Universo more because it had a bit more spice.
12. NORWAY: I was excited at first when I saw the weird campy costume and staging, but the song is super bland to me, and not very catchy in translation.
11. CYPRUS: This the take I'll get attacked for lol. At this point I'm just so tired of hearing the same thing over and over again from Cyprus even if it's not too bad as a song. I think the stage performance will boost the song a little for me. Also, a SHAMPOO AD?? GIRL.
10. ALBANIA: This is also unfortunately a case of them doing the same thing as always, but I like the rock ballad genre so I'm putting it a little higher in my list. I like the drama but it makes me miss Arilena because I don't feel any emotional connection to it.
9. IRELAND: I feel like she took 'Story of My Life' and gave it an upgrade, it's very cute and earnest but feels more exciting and will probably translate better to stage. Maybe a grower!
8. ISRAEL: I wonder if I'd be ranking this song so high if it wasn't Eden? I like her personality and performances so much and think the song is super fun but it wasn't my favourite from the selection.
7. CROATIA : I think 80s inspired bops are so overdone at this point (we have three in just this video) but this one just stays stuck in my head so well, so I really like it.
6. SLOVENIA: Voda grew on me sooo much but I need time to think about this one too! I love her voice but it is a very slow build and I'm disappointed it's in English. But the gospel choir is super pretty, it has a nice final chorus.
5. LITHUANIA: I'M SO GLAD THEY GAVE THE ROOP ANOTHER CHANCE (even if they had little competition this time lol). Now the holy betting odds quartet from last season is entirely back.

Your opinion about Germany is really stange, you have Cake to Bake your 5th in 2014, you also appreciate some other positive/fun/near-joke entries and didn't get it at all at the same time :( It's an anti-haters anthem, "I don't feel hate, I just feel sorry" means that people that hate something of someone for no reason, maybe just have problems in their own life and translate it into surrounded people. Lyrics are great and the song is so positive and fun, those crazy post-chorus, ukulele parts, charismatic shiny singer. The song and this cool video he made by himself with his friends, so German broadcaster didn't spend any money on this! I think it's really great, Germany, Spain and UK should take risks, they're automatically in the final, it didn't work for them with usual mediocre pop songs

I like some jokey entries but some of them just make me cringe and this is one of them 😬 It's cool that some people like the song and it makes them feel happy and I don't wish Jendrick ill but the song really does nothing for me. I don't really consider myself one of the "haters" he's describing for thinking it's bad lol

I don't fully agree with you because I like the German song (it brings good vibes and the message is cool, though the music video is hard t process) and I don't really like the Czech one because it's not my taste, but that's all I would say! It’s been a long time and naturally I totally forgot about the 2021 contest entirely so apologies if my comments sound a little disengaged. Though I will admit this actually does look a little better than what would have been last year’s contest.
14. I mean it’s kind of a cute song but at the same time, totally makes sense why people would be disappointed (I didn’t pay/haven’t paid attention to any selections this year since most artists who were selected “last year” are coming back/I didn’t care much about the contest in general)
11. Seeing as I haven’t really remembered any Cypriot entries in the past few years asides from the one that almost won...I think I see your point
10. This song is totally up my alley in terms of Albanian ballads but like with Germany the lower placement makes total sense lol.
7. Well Croatia didn’t send a song I thought was boring this year so there’s some improvement. Still not my FAVORITE entry per say but it could be worse
5. Really happy these guys had another chance and dropped another legitimate banger. And yeah, the betting odds are gonna go crazy now :P
4. Also really really happy Benny got another chance after “last year” didn’t go so well for him. And as far as I know, this one seems to be a bit more well received which is deserved because it’s legitimately a good song
3. The absolute contrast between this and “last year’s” entry is amazing lol. I said before that I have not paid any attention to National Selections so I’m basically judging this year on the songs alone but I think Finland picked pretty well this year (because of course Finland would pick this). I’m totally biased but I really want these guys to do well.
2. While I do kiiiiiiiiinda prefer Solovey, I won’t lie, Shum is definitely pretty good too and yeah, I really like it when countries do their own thing.

O hi nice to see you :) maybe when more songs come out you'll be more inspired! But imo the peak of my attention paid to ESC is always directly after the final because of Post Eurovision Depression so I expect to be hyping the songs the most then, haha
@@eurovisiongal7007 Oh yeah for sure. And yeah, I feel the Post Eurovision (Or in this case, No Eurovision) Depression allows us to look at songs more critically/feel more hype since the contest is over (or didn’t happen) and we can see why it got the placement it did and whatnot, heck maybe we’ll look at underrated gems in a new light and whatnot (It’s what happened for me back in 2019 when I was very new to the contest)
@@Camira omg you're absolutely right haha, i feel like obsessing over songs because there's a full contest happening and you're fixated on it for months changes your perception of songs for better and for worse. i only listened to most of these songs just before i made the video so it felt very fresh in my mind :)

i've noticed there isn't really a universally hated song atm and that's evidenced in your putting germany relatively high :) i can't figure out if people love or hate go_a's song either, but i know what i think about it at least!
@@eurovisiongal7007 Go_A did such a huge improvement over last year this time, I love it, the rising tempo is really a song aspect that features in a lot of awesome Eurovision songs, most notably Romania 2007.
@Rebecca Woolf luckily people can't vote against songs they don't like, so if enough people like Shum it'll do well even it's a bit controversial. :) I am also curious about revamps. Solovey didn't change much in its "revamp" so I'm not sure if Shum will either. But Karma could definitely do with a little update on the instrumentals... But no translation lol 😭

14. Lithuania: this... is such a huge downgrade from last year. I'm scared they'll go from my third to my last. the song's okay, but the staging looks ugly imo and the breathy bridge... nah uh.
13. Croatia - overrated too imo. I don't care for the song, but she's super fun to watch. Still not my taste.
12. Ireland - this is good in the moment but it's soooooo forgettable. also it drags a bit?
11. Norway - I loved Monument, it'd be my winner had it won MGP. This is a good song, but I can't connect to it. If it's because of KEiiNO or the song itself idk.
10. Spain - yeahhhhhh...... this isn't impactful. Or memorable. It's super pretty and clean, just not outstanding in literally any way. Kind of a Running Scared situation 🤔 Maybe it'll win?? I mean tbf every year ending in 1 has a winner no one really likes 😂 AlsoI prefer Universo tbh.
09. Germany - awwww I like this! Jendrik is adorable, the horns are banging and tbh, the song's not too bad!! With great staging, this could be a DoReDos Situation I think.
08. Slovenia - I prefer Voda and while I think the first half of the song is just okay, Ana's voice and her high note are literally amazing and makes me really like the song as a whole. I think a revamp is in order tho?
07. Finland - pretty great rock song, ngl. the staging's amazing and the little break is super cool.
06. Israel - super fun bop tbh. Love this. Feker Libi still the OG tho.
05. Ukraine - one word: yes pls! Love this so much, it's so chaotic but really fun aswell, and I love their energy. Don't want to be repetitive but I prefer Solovey.
04. I didn't like Kemama last year (soz) but this is super fun!! With Czech entries, I only prefer 2015 now. It's a huge banger rn

i'm disappointed by how many times i prefer returning artist's songs from last year :( i think the only one i like just as much so far is benny cristo's song and the only one i prefer this year is lesley's.
