This true story happened 30 years ago in our community and church where I live in Louisville, KY!! 😇 We had the amazing opportunity of seeing a special screening!! wow, incredible film, 🙏🏻 for God to move in miraculous ways!!! 🥹❤️🥲
If we have money for mansions and statues in our country, we have the means to make sure the parent(s) of a sick child can worry solely about that child. Can we all agree on that??
Absolutely. Illness at any age is terrible but childhood cancer and other life threatening illness is just not fair and so hard to accept. You hear about breat cancer all the time but childhood cancer awareness seems to be just gets pushed to the back, maybe because it is too hard to even think about for us that arent going through that. As a parent it is my worst nightmare and as a human I would give my life to ensure no child goes through it.
And you are so right, to have financial burdens on top of facing your child's mortality is inhumane and wrong. Watching kids slip away or have to come to terms with death is the most twisted thing i think we face here on earth. Its the main reason I believe in G-d. I have to, or i couldnt cope. I have to believe they suffer and die because there is something greater out there and life here in this world is inconsequential in the grand scheme. I lost my best friend in 3rd grade to brain cancer and it still haunts me the way she quietly accepted it like a grown up. Two more friends in middle school and then another in 9th grade. (I moved frequently, it wasnt all in one town). I watched a friend lose her son 4 years ago as well... Thats too many kids! Its too many fu$%ing kids!!!!!!
I've unfortunately buried a child, nothing worse, but it costs what it costs, and we already give out sooooo much free care at multiple children's hospitals... to those "in need" but if you make 70K a year and run your own business and buy your own private insurance, just plan on 40K a year total coat in premiums, deductibles, co-pays, checkups, dental, ent. Etc. I buried my innocent little daughter and paid, then its another 5 grand for a headstone and plot.
I understand your obviously ruled by emotion so I understand your good will, as misguided as it is. Everything costs $ if YOU don't pay for what YOU need, then I Do. That's a terrible system that is collapsing. Yes it's emotionally hard, guess what life I'd hard, just keep going, 1 foot in front of the other, no matter how much life throws at you or how many road blocks they keep putting up for entrepreneurs, just keep going. Never give up. Please don't expect others to pay for your emotional knee-jerk reaction, the unintended consequences of altruism is so easily seen by those with vision.... please try some logic and divorce your emotions, you will actually come up with sustainable solutions that don't take from one family to give to another, because your emotions can't handle reality. This is a problem.

Your ruled by emotions over logic so much more than the OP of this comment that I don't think I'll even spend my time explaining your incredibly naive, knee jerk emotional reaction to children suffering. Life is suffering, then wenall die. Who can't understand that loosing a child is heart breaking, I've actually buried a child from terminal condition. I paid for what I needed and don't expect you or your family to pay for my needs, because your feelings think it's wrong that life is hard and costs money at the same time. Too much time on Soc media, return to real world. We need level headed logical thinkers.

It doesn't need to be rated g but it's nice to say something uplifting for a change.
I have a early prediction, this will be the movie that gives Hillary Swanks her third academy award. She is so underappreciated, and often over looked, most say meryl streep is the GOAT, I respectfully desagree, Hilary Swank has won two Oscars in very different, and very difficult rolls. I'm a fan of her range, how with each roll she never has any cross over. She has a smile if it's directed at you it has such kindness behind it, Clint Eastwood said she is one of the kindness, true to form actresses he ever worked with, that's huge. She is my adult crush, she is just awesome.

She nailed this role. Unfortunately, I don’t think she’ll even be nominated. It’s not the right kind of movie for Hollywood. But it was a great movie for everyone else.
I love Alan as an action fighting hero, but I can't wait to see this one totally different role for him than I'm used to but it looks fantastic

Most other so-called tough guy actors couldn’t even pull this off. Can you imagine the Rock trying to do this? He’s been playing the same character for his entire career. ‘Reacher’ knocked this one out of the park. Great movie
I just watched expecting nothing out of it just enjoy the movie. But wow!!! Movie is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Full of hope, oh my God I just enjoy every single minute it's AMAZING!!! ❤❤❤ we need more movies like this. Thank you for sharing this incredible story!!!!

As somebody whos 39 with renal failure on dialysis and due to that my heart's not as strong as it used to be so I've been trying to eat right and exercise this movie to me and I can't wait to watch it tonight I love Alan and Hillary and I can't wait to cry tears of joy while watching this beautiful movie❤

This looks like such a wonderful movie. Glad it will finally be out next week where we live. These are the movies this world needs to see not all these evil movies they keep putting out. This I will go to see in the theater.
Hilary Swank BETTER get her 3rd Oscar for this. Alan Ritchson deserves a Nomination, but likely will face some top tier A Listers for the prize. However he absolutely deserves to be in the conversation 💯 but unfortunately, the academy over looks Faith based films, true story or not. Sound of Freedom deserves some nominations for example. But going up against Oppenheimer, can't expect it to win, but it deserves the recognition!
Sound of freedom is a bunch of propaganda about an organization that does more harm to survivors than good. There were MANY incredible orgs that deserved to be featured there, but they featured the most corrupt...ask yourself why

When I cry, it's for a truly moving reason. But in that moment, I couldn't hold back my tears and saw how beautiful life is despite all the hardships. People can save your life, but they can also make it a living hell. Thank you for the beautiful film.
This is an amazing film and one of the best I've seen in a long time. What a story. So inspirational. It deserves far more acclaim. A must see film for anybody who wants to be reminded of the beauty of humanity.

This is the kind of movie that you don’t even need to see the trailer to love it. Definitely one of the best films I watched. Seriously, this deserves more recognition. Everything from the casts, to the whole production, it’s phenomenal! 🫶🏻
