Were you disappointed in the ending for BttF2?
Nope
yes
I wasn't disappointed... It's just how movies work... You can't expect audience members to sit for a 4+ hour movie and be happy about it... Which is what would have happened if they'd made one double length sequel. That would make the movie essentially unwatchable in the theaters by anyone with kids or tweens... Even with an intermission, that movie would be BRUTAL... BTTF part 2 left you eager for more... That's what a good sequel does. No different than the ending of BTTF.

2:03 *"Writing her out of the story"* was the entire basis of the story's conflict, for Back to the Future Part 2.
1) Jennifer was picked up by the PD in 2015.
2) Biff steals the time machine when Doc & Marty left the De Lorean parked and went looking for her, at her home, which created the alternate 1985.
3) Doc is transported back to the ol' west, after the alternate 1985 issue was resolved....which lead to Part 3.
...all because Jennifer was picked up off the street, which lead to Biff stealing the time
machine... transporting Doc to the 1800s.
How did the execs write her out of the story, exactly?...
A couple things don’t add up
She didn't have anything to do in the story after passing out. Her character existed in the story, but wasn't active in it. THAT'S how she was written out.
i read the reason they changed it from the 1960's to the early 21st century was because Cripin Glover wanted a bigger paycheck and after refusing him they had to rethink how to make the sequel.

You forgot Jason Scott Lee. He became Bruce Lee in his biopic the dragon. He was also mowgli in the jungle book and was recently in Mulan.
Casey Siemaszko was another one of the cronies. He came within a whisker of having a big career and I loved him in 3 O'clock High.

Yes but unfortunately they're not hoverboards. I hate that people call those things hoverboards. They are on wheels and don't hover. Also you ride them forward and back not side to side like a skateboard. I have no clue why people call them hoverboards.

It always bugged me that they wrote out Jen. Like in improv, you don't nix someone's idea because it doesn't fit your own- you go with the flow because it adds to the overall complexity of the story
Ya, i can see both sides to including or excluding her. Perhaps they wanted to simplify the story by not having to focus on too many main characters. However, I agree with you that perhaps something interesting could’ve happened if they have left her in.

The only thing I didn’t like about BTTF II was Fox playing the role of Marty’s daughter. That was doofy. I just rolled my eyes at the scene. She should have been played either by the actress playing Marty’s mom Loraine or by the actress playing Jennifer. That would have rounded out the scene more. And I always thought it was interesting how Marty always looked more like Biff than George, especially when Doc questioned Marty about if George was really his dad. Hahaha. But Shamas, or however you spell it, looked like Marty; so that put this theory to rest. And as if about the president being like that jerk Biff! I’d say it fit Clinton, with all the arkancides that go on, more than Trump!
