Things in season 2 was when everything was about to go downhill. Then everything died in the 1986 movie. Which made season 3 & 4 the dark times of Transformers G1. Corse after watching the Rebirth finale. I prefer The Return of Optimus Prime as the true finale to the series. With him coming back to save the universe. He & Galvatron finally put their differences aside, which makes it clear that the War between the two sides is finally over.

Never say never. It could be done again. Just give it some time. With the advent of CGI so many people said practical effects were dead. Fast forward a couple decades and practical effects were back in vogue because of their organic look.

Three main mistakes made: 1. Killing optimus 2.Frequently adding irrelavent side characters. 3.Not enough thought given into the script writing for each episode.

The G1 continuity acutally ended after the end of beast machines since beast wars and G1 takes place in the same universe.

After the Rebirth ,Transformers Headmasters 1987 is The Japanese, Cartoon [ Tv landing Coporation I think thats The company it has a sheep for logo who did the production, ]left off with rebirth in Rebirth [ I think Headmasters 1987 in Japan was Made Before Rebirth but they said its 5 to 10 years, After the Rebirth storyline .It Has The Original animation [ With a bad To the bone opening credit sequence with original storyboard type style ,They went back to the Japanese season 1 and 2 style of animation , so you see in this Cartoon Galvatron, New Headmasters from both factions..Optimus Prime Rodimus,Soundwave, some of season1 and 2 autobots briefly and Six Shot Challenges Ultra Magnus, Scorponok secretly, takes over the Decepticons a lot of New Combiners Some from Season 1 and 2 , Minasor, Bruticus, Superion Tecnotron , Devastator Predaking , Abonimus ,Fortess Maximus , The Autobot Train Combiners Sixshot Drinking Energon in a Wine Class , plotting a sinister type turn of events plan [ that's creative ] Spoiler Alert , he was a bad decipticon[ Sixshot ] but Sacrifices his life in last 2 episodes of 35 episode show and Daniel convinces him he has good a heart .There are Rivalries with New Autobot Headmasters and The Decepticon Headmasters with Mind Wipe [ the giant bat Headmasters Decepticons one of the 3 an alligator and I forgot the first one .spoilers [ Blaster and Soundwave Have a Brutal Battle in one episode, both destroying each other [ little more brutal than Prime and Megatrons 1986 Movie Fight. [ Soundwave looses his arm leg,and still attacks blaster and gets blown up as well as Blaster shooting each other in there chest area. BUT[ Both Get upgraded By Galvatron and Rodimus Respectively]and rebuild..Galvatron watches on Cybertron or another planet on a monitor in horror and told Soundwave "that's enough and stop engaging with him " [ Blaster ] It's left off from Season 2 Auto Bop Episode,Where Blaster and Soundwave Have a One on One Battle..The Animation is awesome and its looks like season 2 with some animated changes but not too bad , Then The Next Series Continues with The Storyline continues in a time line after Galvatron, but Have Human Companions and Decepticons diguising as Monsters and then Robot Transformers < It Called Transformers Super God Hyper Force .Then After That Series Its Transformers Victory 1987 to 1988 You can get that Trilogy DVD set from Shout Factory [ TRANSFORMERS.Japan or you watch it on CZcams.Headmasters 1987 First Episode has The Dinobots in it [ Autobots and Decipticons fight on Cybertron and on Earth, The Next Series Super God Force ,The war is continuation on Earth as a new Breed of Decepticons is Form and New Autobots , Victory is The next and last of that G1 series its pretty good with Transformers on Both Sides Going More Extreme Combiner Transformers its off the chain [.meaning its real good.] So for you airing this video Tribute I would Recommend getting series on DVD or Watch it on CZcams its [ Subtitled in English ] Shout Factory DVD is the Manufacturers and therefore pretty good So G1 in America Ended With Rebirth but in Japan made a total 105 episodes from 1987,1988, Headmasters, Then Super God Force or Hyper God Force forgot that title but I got the DVD set then Transformers Victory .Apparently Japan was Making More Toys and More Cartoons [ If Sunbow with Marvel Productions didn't defunct in America those show would have been dubbed in America and edited.[ Spike ,Carly and Daniel and Wheelie make there final appearances in Transformers Headmasters 1987 Japan Wearing The Same Space Outfits [ The dialogue is different and you see more different planet's and Transformers on Different Planets[ battling Slavery Revolts and Tyrants . The Quintesons are not shown much The show focusing more with Decepticon, Autobot War Which Never Ended After The Movie just was big battle then restarted with more factions of Autobots and Decipticons < One Last Thing Before The Transformers Movie 1986 [ There was Transformers Scramble City in 1986 which was made in 1986 before The Movie which officially the last episode of Season 2 [ but was only in Japan with English Subtitles and Never Released until a few years ago from The Transformers G1 Vault [ It Has The Combiners ,Stunticons ,Combaticons,Protectobots, Metroplex, Tripticon Ultra Magnus, Starscream,And Megatron ,and some Season 2 and Season 1 characters before some of the season 1 characters got killed off in the movie in 1986 [ I don't know why till this day that Hasbro didn't do Scramble City for The Season Finale for Season 2 [ So officially SCRAMBLE CITY check that out on CZcams [ Its Japanese but Subtitled in English] A lot people out there or I could be wrong don't know G1 Transformers Cartoons are From Japam [ Toei Animation] [ If you look at the end of 1986 Movie Credits [ Key Animation Animators all Japanese. Thats why Most of Gundam Series Got Dubbed later in the late 1990s to America because of comlex story telling .But in Headmasters 1987 Prime and Galvatron still have one score but rarely continue to fight each other but Rodimus and Galvatron still have a Rivalry.. Optimus came back and his final last appearances was in HeadMasters and Last I think he was in Transformers Victory [ You just cant kill Prime off he was both Popular in Japan and in America...

The author of this video is off the rails. The movie is what gave TF legitimacy. It was better than any other cartoon or on TV or any animated movie at the time and is still light years ahead. Ultimately, it was the fact of inconsistent writing, inconsistent, artwork/animation and characters were so many in number, but so few of them were fleshed out.

For me G1 Transformers died when they got into the Pretenders toy line. They didn't really Transform thus to me ended the gimmick.

The house that they filmed at is in Cleveland, but it takes place in the fictional town of Hohman Indiana. Jean Shepard was from Hammond Indiana.

I liked the big feet episode when I was a kid and I didn't know it was so hated. My favorite episode as a kid was the Baby Beluga episode.

Here is an interesting mistake in the T-Rex breaking out scene. The door to the jeep was left opened when the one guy ran to the bathroom to hide. When the T-Rex is in between the two Jeeps, the door is closed. When the T-Rex is right next to the Jeep with the kids in it, the door is opened.
