  • Hey guys,
    as requested, I will try to give you my advice concerning a very important topic. Getting bullied as an exchange student. I have a bit of a personal story concerning this one which I do not feel a hundred percent comfortable sharing, however, I want to give you as many tips as I can to prevent you from being bullied or disliked by anyone during your exchange.
    If you have any further questions or videos you´d like to see me do, please leave them down in the comments below.
    Lots of love,
    Laura

    Conflicts & uncomfortable moments for a newcomer to any environment are inevitable. Humans are selfish by nature, friends are also you rivals.
    Perception becomes reality: you are treated the way you're perceived ( often unfairly ), but it's pat of the whole experience.

    Hi Laura!! Proud of your work☺️☺️ Quick questions what is something you expected from your exchange year in return? How many friends could you make?How long did your exchange year last? And what were some things on your exchange year that you regret doing?

    Laura...nice video. I hope you realize that much of the advice you gave, like not gossiping, understanding the connection others have to each other is very important, especially in the Workplace, where getting along with your Boss and Coworkers is VERY important for your day-to-day happiness there. Also....I think you may NOT want to do a video about the problems you had with your Host Sister..You seemed to have made peace and patched things up, so doing a video about WHY things were not good back then could RUIN all that! BTW, are you making these videos in Germany...or a you in England as you have mentioned before? Tschuess!

      Yes, definitely! I think so many of these tips are applicable to any new situation you get thrown into. I am actually in England at the moment but I pre-filmed all of these videos in Germany because I wasn't sure what the conditions would be like over here (privacy, lighting, wifi speed etc.). Starting around Christmas time, there will be fresh content from me again thats not pre-filmed anymore

      @@honey27003 YES!! Please visit Michigan someday!! Michigan comes in TWO PIECES (besteht aus zwei Teilen!!) The UPPER and LOWRER Peninsulas!! Michigan has the MOST COASTLINE of ANY STATE except Alaska. If you have the time, look up places in Michigan...I recommend looking up Traverse City, Mackinac City, Mackinac Island and crossing the Mackinac Bridge!! (The Mackinac Bridge was at one time the Longest Bridge in the World!! ....about 8km long!!) Tchuess Laura!!

      There are no stupid questions around here. I am happy to answer anything people are curious about. Could you maybe specify certain contexts just so I can answer in more detail in one of my upcoming Q&As? Do you mean because of guns, religion, racism etc? Or in certain places like school, church, with my host family?

    American high schools can be brutal, no matter what. I had a very hard time in my junior/senior year. I had moved from a very affluent area and prestigious high school to one in the country (parents decided to move) and it was not well received. To make matters worse I had gone through major surgery and could not walk without crutches, so yea I really got bullied bad.

    • @honey27003
      @honey27003  Před 2 lety

      I'm so sorry to hear that :/ I just feel like high school kids are at an age where their hormones just go crazy and there is so much drama that they just kind of freak out and behave really badly towards others sometimes. I think this is probably a global phenomenon that everybody has t go through, unfortunately. You just gotta keep reminding yourself that better things are coming. Even though that is obviously very hard to do in a horrible situation like that
