- The 1st of a few vlogs from our trip to Mallorca.
Day 1 - Cap de Formentor / lighthouse from Pollenca. A very windy day so much so we had to stop at certain parts to avoid being blow over. Staff at the hotel said it was forecast for 60-70mph winds but didn't tell us until our return. This is a short route but one my favourites.

I'm just back from my trip to Mallorca. These days (sep 2022) car traffic is closed from the downside parking up to the lighthouse (people can travel by bus). So it's much more enjoyable bike ride.

It only costs 2 euros on the bus from Pollenca, one of the best bus rides ever and much easier than by car, masocists go by bike !!

Hey Michael, I heard it was car free during this time but I'd have thought it might be too hot for cycling? We never made it to the beach is it accessible from the gravel road after the tunnel?

Which would you rate better for cycling Mallorca or Gran Canaria?! have ye ever cycled in Portugal?
Not done Portugal. Mallorca for the cycling buzz, GC for pure climbing and you need to have a level of fitness to enjoy it. Love Mallorca been twice and happily go again 😜
@@BeardonaBike GC might be bit too intense so if its just pure climbing! hopefully spring 2022 will see some cycling abroad somewhere!
