  • Alexandra Salvador was told she had as little as six months to live when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her friend encouraged her to get a second opinion. That's when she found Dr. Emily Winslow at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital who performed a Whipple procedure which left her with no evidence of disease.

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 15 years ago. I had the Whipple procedure and the surgeon said I had no more than 2 years to live at that time. I saw him about 3 years after that and he said he was surprised to see that I was doing well. Praying for your complete healing and no recurrence.

My mother who just turned 80 last month was diagnosed with a Pancreatic tumor during ultrasound and subsequently diagnosed with Malignancy (stage 3) after undergoing biopsy at Lodi Memorial in June of this year. She started chemotherapy treatments at Stockton Hematology and Oncology (Lodi branch) and has shown remarkable progress after 8 chemotherapy sessions. Overall, she has tolerated the chemotherapy without debilitating side effects. Her CA 19 tumor marker levels have come down from a high of almost 1000 (at start of her chemotherapy sessions) to 145 last time we did labs (2 weeks ago). Now, after reviewing her CT scans and tumor marker levels, both the Surgeon and Oncologist feel that she is ready for the whipple surgery and positive about a successful outcome. She is due to undergo surgery at Stanford in 2 weeks time.

Yes thank you….she is doing quite all right at present. Her whipple surgery was a five and half hour procedure on Dec 13th, 2024 under the skilled care of Stanford surgeon Dr George Poultsides and his team. Mom had some minor complications with her recovery ( wound care and diet modifications) but overall she did just great considering her age - 80 years old. Two and half months later she began resumption of her 4 remaining sessions of Chemotherapy at the Lodi Oncology clinic. At present she is done with Chemotherapy for now. Her Oncologist Dr Philips plans to follow up with a CT scan and visit some time in June. Mom’s health has rebounded back significantly. She’s still not 100% recovered but compared to what her health was in June of last year, it’s a remarkable recovery for her. We just feel so blessed for everything.

      Had Open Whipple on 9-28-22.
Had zero symptoms prior other than my blood sugar (which had been 100 or less all my life) sky rocketed to 912!
Luckily my primary care physician insisted on drilling down to get images of my pancreas - after a biopsy came back malignant he referred me to a surgical oncologist who completely removed 2 tumors.
Had zero side effects or problems and returned to work after taking 4 weeks off. Had a port installed last week and will start chemotherapy in 2 weeks.
Hopefully the cancer hasn’t spread anywhere else or if it has - the chemo takes care of it permanently.

Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with
    his stripes, we are healed.
For salvation, people just need to
follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and
of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the
same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection =
being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's
    what Acts 2:38 is.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9,
in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that
OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven.
St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he
cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own
gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach
any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let
him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews,
Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match-up with the
scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.
    Eternity
is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in
them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of
    me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The
book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter
the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to
show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
    It's
better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong
direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts
2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines.
Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus
Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received
the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He
was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in
righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of
this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the
father showing us how to pray to the father. If you believe in this
message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!

Christian foundations, and principles are not baised on Apostles and prophetes. Even catholic say it is baised on catholic traditions and rituals. It is baised on christ Jesus. You even don't know one sentences. That's why you simply avoiding 4 Goespel of Jesus and you reached in Acts. your theological understanding is wrong bro. Your understanding also a religious mandatory. Nothing else. Or you tell me what is exactly Jesus preached in four Gospel.

Dear MedStar team, i have one question.
My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer type R1, and was immediately operated, ( with the same procedure - wipllow ) 2 months ago.
They said that the operation was successful done and that they took everything out, and now we face with the problem about the chemotherapy.
My mother is going to do it but they offer us 2 different options (chemotherapies ).
My question is, has miss Alexandra received some chemotherapy after her pancreatic surgery and if yes, what kind ?
Your answer would mean the whole 🌎 for me. ❤
    Best regards,
    Filip Pivec...

    • @jordendeden9857
      @jordendeden9857 Před 7 měsíci

Yes, it is possible only if the cancer has not metastasized (spread) to other organs and is contained in the pancreas area. The recommended course of treatment is chemotherapy to shrink the tumor, followed by whipple surgery and more chemotherapy after recovery from the surgery. Max hospitals in Delhi and Mohali are one of the many hospitals in India that perform the whipple surgery and Yes, it is possible for an 83 year old to undergo this procedure if he/she meets the qualifications.

Hey, the Whipple surgery is obviously risky but the risk is not that huge, make sure you go to a good hospital where they do perform at least 10 Whipple surgeries an year, everything will be fine.

My Dad went through it, he had an extensive surgery, they had to remove his duedenom as well, but 6 months after, he is doing great. He is as fit as he used to be. It is a risky operation but in a good hospital, if done by good doctors has a success rate of 95%.
