  • On a late August summer weekend, Jen and I headed out with our friends JJ and Amy, to do some relaxing, camp cooking and get a little fishing in.
It was a very chilled out weekend and we really took advantage of our great camp spot and the access it had to the river as well as just being a great place to camp....except for one thing. Stick around till the end to find out what.
JJ and Amy brought some really good chili and cornbread as well as some great wine to share. Jen cooked up a pretty amazing and healthy meal for us on one of the nights as well and we all had a really nice time.

I agree 100%! I always pack out other people’s garbage and it kisses me off. Makes me wonder what their homes look like.
Beautiful video and very nice fish from that small stream!

Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad that there are enough of us out there cleaning up. It makes it better for those of us that do care. Cheers!

I agree, rivers and small streams are the best. I enjoy trying to coax trout with dry flies on the Middle Fork near my home. Wonderful video!

Thank you for another great video and a good final message! I fly fish and camp every weekend all year and am consistently shocked and how much of other people trash bring home....you are not alone. Thank you.

Same/same. I'm just worried that places are going to start getting shut down. That would not good for any of us. Glad you like the video. I have some really fun ones in the works. Cheers!

Stay on that soap box brother!
The amount of trash my wife and I clean up on any given trip to public land can be infuriating.
Another great video, great editing, great music... thanks so much for sharing!

Wow. This is gold. Thank you for the message. Unfortunately the people who watch content like yours are responsible users of our public resources.

Yeah, it's totally preaching to the choir, but I even if one person see's this and changes their ways.....even slightly, it will have made a difference.....hopefully.

Thank you for the message on trash, I dont get it either. I've already lost places in the PNW due to this issue.

Great weekend trip! Unfortunately, some people that camp don't look at a campsite as a pristine environment that needs to remain so. They are there to consume and abuse without thought of impact, which is most likely how they live their lives no matter where they are. All we can do is what you did, pick up after them. If we all do that, we can mitigate the impact of the thoughtless, irresponsible, self centered minority of people who ruin our access to these wild places.

Humans are the worst... My local trib was decimated by wildfires in 2020, everything destroyed. There's not a campground open up there anymore and there used to be dozens. But as soon as that gate opened up a year or so ago, whats the first thing i see when i pull off along the river to fish? Human shit and wadded up mcdonalds napkins. wtf...?
