What a relief, I thought I was just a slow customizer taking that long on customs 😂. Most of these you tubers are popular for customs but they do it in a short amount of time and if you pay attention their work is sloppy, the underrated customizer a are the ones that put in the most work to be honest. This channel honestly deserves more subs then what it has

I’m making my own Chunky Dunkys. I ordered plain white Jordan 1 Lows and all the materials to do this. The SNKRS God didn’t bless me with the originals so I’ll make my own. This video is amazing! I was racking my brain on the best way to color the insides of the shoes

This dude never has to worry about getting a shoe before it sells out. He can just recreate it himself. Granted they wouldn't be authentic.....but when they are on your feet, that really doesn't matter, and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference :) :)

I would love to see you do a pair of New Balance 574 with the nubuck material on them! I don't see too many people messing with the 574! It seems People avoid the New Balance in general

Nope 2 soft will thin it out enough, and the hair dryer should do the tick

How durable is the paint and what paint would you recommend? Is their a spray on coating that protects the paint? Just shown one of my Grandchildren them and they want them...... So does my wife lol. love to see the finished product. I’m currently working on creating my own pair ... I wanted to ask you what kind of spray gun do you recommend for beginners? And what techniques should i study before even attempting to do the sock line ?
There is a diy sprayer called "preval". You buy at hardware stores. It's basically an empty spray can of air with a glass jar attachment. They are inexpensive and work really great.

Hey Dillon, really really clean work ! It looks so much factory, well done ! I had an issue last time i painted the sockliner, I used 50/50 of black and 2 soft, used paint brush, and I applied maybe 4 or 5 layers, let it dry for 24h but when I wear them black stained on my socks, have you ever had this problem before? Do you have some ideas why it happened? I'm afraid to paint the sock liners now especially if it's for someone else...
Yeah so sockliners should deifnitly be airbrushed, and you really only want to do about 2 layers

No finisher will make a impact on creasing, thats going to be all about the prep work!

Is it the refillable ones or the Cosco type ones that don’t refill? Also, how many coats using a paint pen should I use? I really appreciate your time! God bless
Hey bud we appreciate you. I never recommend paint pens as theyre not meant to hold up on shoes in my opinion, I only recommend Angelus paint for true durability!
What color do I use to restore my air max with hyperpunch?. I cant find this color from angelus.

What black do you recommend for tongues/sockliners? I've used Angelus with 2soft and it comes out pretty dull and almost grey, best results I've gotten are with Jacquard textiles black but even that still isn't very dark.
I’ve had good experiences with the angelus black.. one thing that could have happened is mixing in too much of the fabric medium and really diluting the potency, but even with multiple coats it should have gotten pretty dark for you

How would I get black mesh to a slightly lighter color like laker purple? Would I need to lay down a couple coats of white along with some too thin to serve as a primer or base?
Black mesh or fabric is a nightmare to work with if you’re trying to go lighter but yeah you would absolutely need some base coats (light grey/mist) never white first

I'm wondering about something, you did a new custom this time, you estimated a 10h of work while it took 20h instead, if you are doing it for a customer and you let him pay yourself for a 10h work, would you finally overcharge him for 20h ?
Nope I don’t think that would be fair, you’ve already committed to a price and shouldn’t go back on your word. Best thing to do is learn from it and re evaluate moving forward!
How much paint do you use per shoe? Along with deglazer and finisher?
Totally depend on the design and then certain colors are harder to paint than others, I estimate if you were to just paint the upper one solid color it would take about 1.5 oz

Theres of course multiple factors, but heat setting and the right amount of 2soft will definitly prevent that

95% of insoles are glued down or anything so you're able to just pull em out and put em back in

Any tips on what to do about when I’m heat setting in between coats of paint, the heat makes the tape start to come off, curl or peel back and then messes up the next coat of paint cuz the tape is different now! Should I just only heat set at the very end of all the coats? I heard u should heat set each individual coat. Help!
