WE APPRECIATE YOU!
Definetly is.
Change probably to ‘easily’
Imma have to use this. Love the intro. Dont worry bout 2 minutes, just call it tutorial tuesday or something like that. The longer it is the more informed we are and usderstand it more. Love it, keep it coming👌👍🙏
Thanks for the support!
We like the comedic take on 2 minutes 😅
The fact that the two minute Tuesdays are never two minutes is dope lol
Lmao we're glad some people don't mind
Solid! 💪
❤️🤘
I love your tutorial Bro... thank you.. so much . God bless
Could you make a video on how to start a website to sell customs on
YES THIS☝ ☝☝
Yes please
Your work is straight popping!!
The more you speak the more one is informed and your tutorials are entertaining aswell as intriguing keep it up I'll smash that like button all day... 😎your art is McBomba!!
we appreciate the support! ❤️
Very informative and effective!
Love this
I was just thinking of how to do this letter technique. Perfect!
Glad we can help!
This looks dope. The only thing I would do different is make the drop shadow thinner and offset just below the lettering the way you would do in Photoshop.
Dope and very clean custom!!
Thank you!
Another classic vid. Definitely gonna utilize this in the future
Glad we can help out a bit!
Re watching this Feb. 2021 and still my favorite video you've put out
Can't wait to use this myself thanks bro dope vid 💪
Thank you!
Love your work bro ‼️🔥
Thank you so much!
I really love your vids and your work is amazing. I can't find the silver on the Angelus website. Also, did you paint the big logo and then add a drop shadow?
#toothpickgang!! Great video plus my favorite school. You did yo thang brother💪🔥🔥
Thanks Brandon! #toothpickgang 🤘🏼
Underrated youtuber
This is brilliant
Thank you!
It's crimson and cream, and you left the a off the big oklahoma. They look great!
Your very talented!!! I found you and Suheel on CZcams a few years back from Angelus and I have been hooked ever since!!! So I have a few questions. First of all where did you get that spray paint booth from? I purchased one from Blicks art but I returned because it was the size of a tent lol. I just wanted something simple for my son to start making these. Question number 2 I seen some of your Nike drip stencils. So I was debating on ordering them but how do I know what size will fit the shoe. For example I wear a size 7 but my son wears a size 13. So isn’t the Nike swish of a size 13 much bigger then a size 7. How do you determine that the swish stencil will fit both of them. Thanks so much sorry for the long text lol
Too hard! I love it.
Good stuff! Same way I did a pair of cleats. Think you can do a video on how you prep certain leathers/shoes? I know I had trouble first starting out.
Yup got a good one on that coming soon
Glad you did this cause everyone I asked just simply ignored me
While using a vinyl stencil , once painted , should the finisher be applied while the stencil is on of after it is pulled off ?
Legendary channel

Hello. I'd like to know the name of the tool you're using to sand down the leather. Does completing that step adds to adhesion process? I started doing this a month or so ago with just sand paper. Sanding down the shoe after prepping it with acetone. Now I've seen a tool that looks as if could shave some of that time off.
This is a super cool technique by the way.
Happy New Year!
DCF can you Tell us which Airbrush machine you Used? Thanks! Big Fan here! 🖤
And third question) In all youtube videos i saw before - all custom artists using heat gun for drying coats. It takes 30 sec for drying. But in your videos you recommend to dry 10-15 min without heat gun. What's the difference? Is you recomendation better?
I'm asking so many qustions cause i have problems with color resistance and i want to improve it to maximum)
Some skill mate
🙌🏽
can you give a link for the vinyl you use?
And the last one) What the difference between using duller and mate finisher?
this is so cool! thanks for the tips, i will definitely try this. Question: Did you use any additives for the plastic portions of the shoe or was that the same paint? maybe same paint is OK for the location of the plastic? thank you!
For that you would want to use 2 hard !
What program do you use to lay out your ideas before starting?
Bro love the content! Can we see a do's of painting a sock liner! Keep up the good work!
Not a bad idea! We'll keep it in mind for a future video!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I meant do's and dont's but i think you got the idea
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I just watched the Supreme video that helped a lot thanks keep it up
first congratulations on the work and share this information with us. Second, do you use paint for fabric? Or another guy, could you give me the name? Thanks
I need that same angelus shirt for the stu 🤣
Brilliant video, quick question nothing to do with this I'm customizing my Jordan 1s what's best way to paint jordan wing's logo bit nervous any tips would be handy 👍👍👍
Give our toothpick method a shot!
7:23. After the branding technique, how did you paint the OU?
Wait so for the drop shadow I know you said you just laid the vinyl down then sprayed light black but how did it still come out white? lol kinda confused
Hi.i was wondering if you have a video on how to create a heat vinyl label for the tongue on trainers.thanks
No unfortuantely I don’t ever use any heat transfer vinyl
What colors were used to achieve the oklahoma red!?
What colors did you use?
GOD BLESS YOU
❤️
My man! Thanks for the tips once again! This video was very helpful!
I have two questions, one, how long do you let the base coat dry for (red/silver)? What's the proper dry time? I dont want the paint to peel off. I find it hard to do that. I know the prep work is crucial but the dry time can also be crucial. How long is a good time before you start peeling off?
Two, I also have problems with the vinyl I use. The more heat It up, the more residue it leaves I use the cricut brand vinyl. Which brand do you suggest is better for leather? Both vinyl and transfer tape?? The last thing I want is residue on all the letters. Thanks in advance my man!
Yeah absolutely some great questions here JC, first off I do about 15 mins between any coats of paint whether that’s just building the base or moving onto next color anything... the more time the merrier.. after the paints settled you can peel vinyl right away (roughly 15 mins again) but it’s super important here to apply heat when it’s time to remove the vinyl.. I use Oracal 811 and never have the residue issue.
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Thank you again man! One day I hope to be on your show. I just gotta step up my game. Just watched your latest one. Today you had a pair from one of my favorite customizers. You and fresco are definitely in my top 5. Thanks again for all your help! Talk soon my man!
Hey my friend i tried to find angulus regular silver a lot of stores advertised regular diver but keep sending me metallic silver can you tell me where can I find Angela's regular silver please
Awsome..they look so nice..no mention on how long the vid is 🙊 who cares?not me..good job much love ✌💚
Lmao we didn’t notice 🤷🏻♂️
Right. I actually enjoy the longer videos. #TenMinuteTutorialTuesdays
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where can I get that too haha 😍😍
Uff these are fire ! Did u use sand paper everytime on leather ?
Sure do!
How did you end up doing the final white OU? Did you use a negative stencil on top of your "shadow" outline? Also looks like you went back and outlined with black...
Hey! Did you ever figure this out? I'm just starting to get into this and was wondering the same thing... just two years later lol
#toothpickgang how did you end up with the white QU? Did you use the negative of the cutout?
Filled in the negative space
What sandpaper set up did you use to scuff that? I would love to purchase one of those.
I just purchase larger sheets of sandpaper and cut em down to fit the sander and attach with tape.. they don’t make fine grit adhesive pads unfortunately
In this video you take of the fabric paint coat. Why you did this? (I'm asking, cause i didn't see the same technic before) In wich situations I should do that? And if i do that - i can damage threads?
Konstantin Labzov yup I’m always going to over prep even if it means messing up threads .. I’d rather make sure the stencils lay correctly and the shoe has durability
Hey, what is the specific name of that electrical sander you used to prep the trainers?
Ryobi detail sander!
If you have a couple of customers that live in the same city as you do you still make them ship packages or do you let them drop them off
WHATWRLD whatever you’re comfortable with. Some people don’t wanna have others coming by their home / studio.
What grit sand paper do you use when prepping?
400,800,1600
Awesome custom ! Which Vinyl did you use ? 🤘 #toothpickgang
Oracal 811 my go to for leather fam !
What type of sand paper grit is safe to use on regular leather shoes
400+
I have watched this a dozen times but I didn't catch how you actually placed the UC logo. Did you spray through the negative section of your stencil?
Jason Marable correct ! Then covered it back up with the stencil to spray that drop shadow around it
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Coolz. Thanks for the reply, really appreciate the community you guys are fostering.
Awesome work again! Why is it that you sand this pair compared to using deglazer? Thanks in advance!
John-Claude Saldana I sand everything along with acetone... couple reasons, acetone is stronger than deglazer. More importantly sanding surface really gives you a smooth finish to work on and for the paint to bond to
Oh, wow okay. I’ve only been using angelus deglazer lately for my custom AF1s. Do you think the paint would crack?
John-Claude Saldana I do, I don’t think just deglazer is enough
Awesome, I appreciate your time. Thank you!
And another one) A lot of time i had a situation - when i'm pilling up the vinyl the paint pilled up too. Is that means that I did bad prep before or this situation could means that i didn't wait enough time before pilling? (I was making preparing only with acetone before. Now i understood that i should mate the surface too)
Konstantin Labzov yup that’s exactly why I overprep !
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear Thanks for answers) Your have really cool and informative channel
What grit sandpaper do u find works best
Multiple levels 400,800,1600
Approximately how many layers of the metallic color do you need to paint?
Maybe 3-5
Living on the Sooner state, I’ve got a few request for OU themed customs. What paints did you use to get that crimson red? Also - I used an adhesive promoter (3M from Home Depot). Recently on a custom
And it left the shoe rough. Would this be due to the adhesive promoter or something earl? I only sprayed two very light coats about 5-10 apart before painting. Thanks!
Sounds like the coats were just too thick for the adhesion promoter.. mainly red , raspberry and black for the mix 🤙🏽
DeJesus Custom Footwear awesome! Thanks!
Can u cement vinyl to a sneaker and seal it with without coming off???
In theory that sounds possible.. however as the shoes wrinkle, crease, bend, breathe over time I could see the vinyl wrinkling or something along those lines
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear ok thanks for the feedback
What tool was that you use to prep the shoe? The machine you were using on the shoe
Carey Smith it’s called a detail sander
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07114CBW2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B07114CBW2&linkCode=as2&tag=site0f4-20&linkId=a76de928e53b05d029ffcecf9c3bad5b
Thank you so much
When you added the mist color after the base coat was that the sliver ?
Nope, just regular angelus mist
DeJesus Custom Footwear ohhh but what if I don’t have mist , could I use white instead?
Carey Smith yeah definitely mist is basically 1/2 white and 1/2 light grey
DeJesus Custom Footwear oh awesome thanks for that information
What’s the average time you spend on one custom and how long is to long to spend on a custom
Super huge range on time spent but on avg I’d say 8 hours, no such thing as too long. You gotta keep going till your satisfied as an artist
what color is your final red coat?
That was probably something close to 80% red 20% metallic silver
Whr did you get the silhouette cameo from
You can pick one up on amazon, or a lot of local craft stores
Can you do this effect with a paintbrush?
Yeah you can
Question do you sand the sole rubber?
I don’t ever recommend painting the soles honestly. Paint and rubber don’t bond
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear thanks for the fast response.
when airbrushing with angelus paint do you always add thinner?
Its Zookus it’s an absolute must if you don’t want your airbrush to clog
DeJesus Custom Footwear thank you. also with heat drying can i just use a conair hair dryer on low?
Its Zookus yup that works
DeJesus Custom Footwear ok thank you:)
Couple of questions:
Can we just call this 10 min Tuesday? (I don’t think anyone minds 😂)
Do you always sand the leather parts to prior to beginning? I saw you sand down the cleats but thought that was for durability purposes.
Feelgood Threads 🤣🤣 yeah bro sanding does 2 big things imo, helps with durability... but helps even more when you are doing a big vinyl project like this.. before I started sanding everything no matter what I did I struggled with paint peeling when using any vinyl
what machine do you use to cut?
Silhouette cameo
Where do you sell your shoes
Ivin Vasquez www.dejesusinc.com
If u don’t have access to photoshop , is there any iPhone App u can recommend
You can use photopea.com
Your the man
can i do this on fabrics?
Yup I’d use fdc 3700 glitter vinyl
How will you know when to stop sanding
I give it 2 really good passes with each grit
Is this regular vinyl or heat transfer vinyl?
Regular vinyl
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear How does textile heat transfer vinyl respond in shoes and with the subsequent finisher?
@@silviorapela5981 I don’t use any heat transfer vinyl honestly
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear can you suggest with a link were i can buy this ?
Gaahh why are my stencils always pulling up paint when I peel them off??
TheBergcity one of two things there,
1. Not enough prep
2. Too much paint applied or not enough dry time.
It never happens anymore for me
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear You're the greatest person alive.

DeJesus Custom Footwear I’m doing my first custom! Should I post a before and after?
Why are you sanding?
mama cita so that the paint sticks better, especially when laying down and peeling vinyl it’s a game changer
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear wow interesting to know thanks. Is it necessary if youare just painting? And do you use 1200 sand paper? I stripped a whole swction with acetone once I'm hoping the paint stays on, and it did damage the leather in one part whereI rubbed too hard. :( made a little while but luckily they were preowned shoes. Keep up the great videos :)
mama cita typically 400,800,1600
