R E S P E C T to the artists. 1) The mechanic. He obviously loves what he does and takes pride. His attention to detail is great. 2) The videographer. Again; making a unique piece of art for the rest of us to enjoy. Of course; we hope whoever gets to ride this bike also enjoys it, and it brings a smile to their face. That is why we're in this business. I mean... money too... but... mostly smiles. ;)
I dont know why I am watching theese videos regularly. While I cant afford it. Maybe its love🙂
I’m 6ft4 and want this bike joe . 🙁
If I know something is made in China I am going to do my best NEVER to buy it! That includes anything from Winspace! Sorry!
@@BikeLife154 I hate to break it to you, but Specialized, Trek, Schwinn, Giant, EVERY SINGLE MAJOR AND MINOR BIKE BRAND are made in China. Looks like you're out a bike.
@@jochang9012 I do know that. And that’s why I will boycott anything that I know is made in China! Giant have closed some of their factories in China apparently and have factories in Taiwan. If they are made in Taiwan which a lot of their stuff is I will buy Giant or any company that isn’t based in China. I already have 2 bikes and will be very selective about what I buy for them from now on.
This is too peaceful!! I've heard nothing but how hard putting my bike together is going to be. This music makes it seem therapeutic
Everytime I think I don't need to do an aero build this frame keeps popping up. Looks amazing
Apparently rides well too👍
This frame has become the best of the best of all budget frames .. UCI approved! Insane but is out of stock.
This is probably the most informative, detailed and helpful build I ever saw that is going to help me with my first build.
I blinked and Nick's production values have gone thru the roof!!! Excellent... he is clearly an artisan... keep it up!
Fantastic video, love all the fine details, probably the best build I have ever watched
Thank you mate for the kind words 🙏
The whole video flows and it’s completely enjoyable. Feel like buying and driving it. SUPERB
First time seeing this and can tell you I’ll watch it again. The whole video flows and it’s completely enjoyable. I’m currently in the process of buying a Windspace T1500. Great video.
Thanks Johnny 👍
Been looking forward to this build. Great work on both bike & edit 👏👏👏
Thanks Mike 🙏
Great to watch, very chilled. Cannot believe that with SRAM Force AXS and carbon spoked wheels it’s 8.16kg!
Thanks Dave.
Disc brakes. The Cervelo S5 with dura ace is 8.14kg with tubulars. Wout Van Aert bike on GCN recently.
Awesome looking rig :-) The best looking wheels for sure. It would be nice to see the same kind of layering (or camo paint) in frame too.
The free hub sounds AMAZING 🤩
Right 😆
That was relaxing to watch. Thanks
Thank you 👍
Bienvenidos ya los echaba de menos exelente
Best build I have ever seen
THANK YOU THANK YOU
Love the build spec!👌
Thanks ma man!
Awesome build video! 👏
Excellent display of skill with this build. Nice work.
Thanks mate
@@thedropcycling Certainly!
Awesome build. Thanks
thank youuu
Hello from Canada,,, The Strat is the star of the video ,, Lol. Awesomoe bike build. thx for the great video !!!
Hey Daryl, thanks for the comment🙏 welcome to the channel
It's impressive how heavy electronic shifting and hydraulic brakes are.
Excellent work as usual! I forget your cat’s name, but in the end even he/she was looking like, “that’s hottt” 😻😻😻🙀😸
Haha that's king kunzi. 🤣😆
China 🇨🇳 products are unlike the old days . Their QC is top notch . And WinSpace is probably the top China frames in the market
Do not look down on them . Thou I’m riding a Dogma , my next bike will most definitely be this . 👍🏽
Give it a go!
Amazing job. I love the performance. Thank you very much for enjoy us.
Let´s see you in the next video.
Thanks Vicente, glad you liked it ;)
Im not big on bikes - but i appreciate the edit on this video 😅.. nice one Nick! Cool bike!
Haha thanks April👍🙏
Awesome bike and no hype::)
enjoyed this very much.
greetings from Amsterdam.
Charlesm
Thanks for the support
supernice! thank you!
You weren't wrong when you said it would be up soon ;) Awesome video as usual!
so good bike!!
Elegant work.
Thank you
Great video! really helped me with my build, do you have any advice for the seat post clamp installation? It looks to have some sort of pivot?
Nice work.
Thanks Richard 👍
I would love this to happen in Elves Falath with Ultegra or Dura Ace Di2
beautiful but what about the hour spent getting the disc brake alignment right only to have them rub on the first ride? that's the true test of patience
Anyone know if theres an aftermarket brand sram xdr driver that will fit the hyper 50mm? Dont want to have to wait for Winspace to ship one.
Most erotic bike build I have ever seen. Oh to find someone like this locally.
Hi, do the locking rings for the Sram rotors came with the groupset, if not which ones do I need? I am doing the same build, I just ordered the groupset and frameset.
I cant seem to get the headset preload right, if i tighten it i can feel rocking of the front end i can get rid of it. Any advice? I’ve built many bikes and never had this issue.
Great video! Did you use the Winspace 'circle-segment spacer' in front of the expander plug? It looks as if this piece will block the internal cable routing from the stem?
So beautiful windspace how the performance gives reviews 🙏🙏
Gr8 music man.
thanks Ima
The screw in fluid hose method is better than just the push on especially with dot fluid. I didn't know that the SRAM hose Barb was screw in either and that's a good method.
The bottom bracket door)cover seemed a bit off fitting. That grouosets is heavy though hence the final weight.
👍👍
What is the grease from the yellow tube you use at 10 mins on the crank arm spindle?
Nice Bike.
Thank you🙏
I should just buy everything online and have you build my bike
Good idea
Look forward to your review on the Winspace
When I have the chance to ride. Yes 100% I will ask the owner about his experience so stay tuned 👍
Have you got a parts list for those wanting to do a similar build?
Awesome
Thanks jordi
Che misura è ? Bella !!!
Ordered just last night that same frame and color in 510 (L) and a set of the Hyper Black Series 50mm wheels and have that same groupset. I have a couple questions if its not a bother. I have a power meter on the crank do you think there could be any interference with BB? Is that a 160 rotor on the rear? Lastly without the front guide for derailleur would the gap be as a regular mechanical shift of 5mm etc? I forgot to check before I took my old frameset apart. Lastly is the chain the correct length out of the package? I am thinking of getting Sram Red chain should be same length. Thanks in advance
Did you build yours? Do you notice any play in the headset? It's very suble.
nice build. which end tape did you use for the handlebar tape? it didn’t look like an electric tape.
thanks.
Good quality electric tape😄
Where'd you get the build tough aerobars?
Do you have any play in the headset? There's a micron of play. I suspect it's due to the plastic cover over the spacer and top bearing being the only thing holding the bearing down which causes flex.
I have noticed the quality of the spacers aren't that good so not surprise if there is a little play
many thanks for this video , please advise how to get same frame ?
From winspace website
Are you using tyre tubes for the internal brake hose? I've been using insulation for air-conditioner copper pipes.
That works too hey it's just more accessible to me
Thanks for the pro tip, been searching bike specific dampening with little success
@@tyneill I believe jagwire makes a neoprene kinda material thing.
Good day..! ! Great and wonderful bike.. Good job.. When it might be available in the Philippines? Thnks. More power and God Bless..
sa website nila boss dun ako nag order frame wheels and handlebar winspace.cc
Where can I find a carbon frame that an ordinary person can build with very average tools?
yeah! 🙃
This is awesome, just wondering, do you need that big steel tool to fit the crankset or what ever that is that goes between the pedals?
That is a press, needed to get the bearings in place.
There are other tools to do the job
11:52 Builder gets the rhythm
oh absolutely mate haha
this is awesome! question, did you have to cut the chain or no?
Yes original chain was too long
Hey there hopefully you see this. I tried to have my bike built up this week with Sram Force 22 and the bike shop said the spindle is too short. The spindle length is 107mm and he showed me when I went to the shop that it barely comes out the other end + the press fit bb is flush on the bike. Any suggestions?
Need a longer spindle crank
@@thedropcycling what was the length of the spindle on your build? I can’t find anything longer than 107mm online.
Love the wheels with Ceramic bearings
I like how the carbon looks :)
@@thedropcycling same here! Love the look so badly 😻 but still can't explain my lovely wife why do I need extra wheels 🤣🤣🤣
I have a question. I have the same frame and bars. Does anyone know why the headset keeps getting loose? I cut the steerer low enough that the top cap isn't the issue. I torqued to stem bolts to 7nm. The pre load is fine. No knocking or rattling sounds. Then a couple of rides later, its loose again. Any ideas would be great.
Maybe you need to torque your stem compression plug more
Hi I would like to know what bottom bracket did you use for the frame
Standard dub bb
Precio de la bicicleta por favor
Can you post a link to these handle bars?
In case anyone sees this, the handlebar/stem combo in this video is the integrated handlebar by Winspace, called Winspace ZERO. You can find it on their website here: www.winspace.cc/accessories/handlebar.html
your sizes...how to interpret them 410/440/470/510/550mm i ride a size 52, would that translate to 520?
actually a 20" .
I think you should check out their website. They should have a sizing chart?
14:55 sexy, more of a show bike a wall piece than to ride it.
Its like building the Star Ship Enterprise. Beam me up Scotty.
I think I will be successful avoiding riding disc brakes the rest of my life on my road bikes.
Well done and respect.
Anybody have a parts cost tally for this build?
thanks mate. glad you enjoy it
Not a bad weight
Nah not bad at all
Set of lighter wheels and it would be close to 7.5
@@troycollett8540 totally
@@troycollett8540 if these wheels are Hyper 50 mm the weight is 1425 g, hard to get lighter wheels (www.winspace.cc/hyper-50mm-rim-brake-wheelset.html)
What crankset and bb bracket did you use mate ? I have sram force crankset but it’s a bb30 … can I fit this ? Thanks 🙏
Standard Sram dub bottom bracket and sram force axs crank
@@thedropcycling thanks so much mate .. really helpful 👌👌
Sorry again mate but did you need an xd driver for the 12 speed cassette? Thanks
@@rickiwynne4785 xdr driver
@@thedropcycling thanks dude 👍
Nick - did the client buy all the parts & you did the build or did you deal with all the buying of the parts & build ?
I did the build. All the parts were provided by the owner
@@thedropcycling thanks for letting me know. Looking to build up a light weight Giant TCR rim brake bike so I may contact you when the new frames come out this year and Shimano sort out the Dura Ace 9200 series
@@cliffordchaperon6795 sounds good mate
@@thedropcycling any idea what the total cost of the build was?
@@jessehdiscgolf6679 should be around $5k AUD
Cool nice build did you get to take it for a spin😊
Haha nah, the owner said more than happy for me to go for a spin but I would like the owner to do the 1st ride. Maybe down the track I will😄
Great video nice build good camera work any idea on total cost to build please
Hola amigos cuanto cuesta esa visicleta pesos mexicanos
#haytabike
How much the price ?
What size frame is this bike at 8.16kg?
Medium
Where are the handlebars from?
Handlebars looks like Winspace Zero integrated twin handlebars/stem combo
Nice !
Beautiful video but the result doesn’t convince me.
You can get a canyon aeroad that weighs the same for 2/3 the price
how much did the build cost?
Close to 6k
how much your bike sir
Was that 8.15 kg weight?
Yes
How much is the complete bike set with Sram Red?
Around 6k
Do you have a website that I can order?
@@thk639 I built it for a friend, he bought eveeything from Windspace website
What saddle you used??
Selle italia
@@thedropcycling 🙏thank u
I am amaze how these new bikes are so much heavier than the ones pre-disk brakes from the years past!
I do not think that is advancement IMHO.
That you Durian Rider?
I was talking to the owner the other day, compare to major brand top of the line frames, it's probably 5 times cheaper but 300 grams ish heavier. You be the judge
Nope
@@thedropcycling Pardus Spark Evo is lighter Chinese frame 950 grams. Awesome frame which is one piece not joined.
@@vietnguyen4312 yeah very interesting. I have seen some people riding the Pardus bikes. good looking bikes!
Although the workmanship and video are more than commendable is it an achievement to end up with a bike weighting 8,2 Kg? This is a clear step back in bike evolution and for me totally unacceptable. My Chianchi XR4 rim brake weights 7,2Kg with 60mm wheels and costs less than half...
My son's steel frame build weights 8,4 Kg for God's sake with heavy aluminium wheels, what is this?
I ride Giant Propel, Cannondale systemsix and etc aero bikes. They weigh 8kg ish. It's not all about weight, when you are riding 40km/h the aero gains really is going to save you. But I get your point👍
@@thedropcycling It IS ALL about the weight. Aero gains are not due to tube shapes for the most part, they're due to the dropped headset compared to a "normal" bike forcing your body into a more aero position. The tubes may add a 5% at the speeds we're talking about...
@@st939 That's actually not all about the weight. That's about everithing you fancy, it could be weight, aero, or just the look etc ... About performances, I'm totally agree with you about the fact that frame aero features can be considered as marginal relatively to other stuff. But that's also the case for the weigth, they are lots of situation where the weight isn't even part of the equation.
Well said
If your racing especially hills it's heavy but for non racing it's not heavy. Greg Lemond and Pantani were racing on bikes heavier.
selling this bike?
nah, build for someone
Contact info? I would like to send my frame out to get a nice build thanks🙏🏾
Hey feel free to contact me on instagram: thedropcycling
Got it thank you!
Replica frame merida reacto
Wait. Aren’t you the guy who sold the Madone 🤔💭
The silver one? Yes
@@thedropcycling Haa!!!!.. I knew it... lol. Heavy but Bloody Fast. That was imprinted...
Why so heavy 😔
frameset
Shame about the ugly logo on the frame. Otherwise looks good.
Hmm something that Winspace can definitely put on the list. They used to have some funky font on the downtube too
If I'm not mistaken, this looks like the frame that was scanned and resprayed. They got rid of the holographic blue and brush stroke decal which I thought looked a lot better.
Not familiar with Winspace before this build. This frame in white colour doesn't look bad in person
@@ghettoshampoo You thinking of cam nicholls? Same aero frame I think but different paint scheme..
@@DanTuber ah, you're right. Very close but his has the black accents and whatnot. Yeah, the scheme is too plain jane now.
Can you give me that road bike cycle for free
Perchè copiare il simbolo UCI fate 💩💩💩🤮🤮🤮🤮
Non so se è falso. dovrebbe essere approvato dall'UCI
Carbon bikes, crash them once and they are worthless.
Correct in most case. You can repair them. Same goes to cars😆
