Huge tip: once you reduce their ki to zero, use a multi hitting yokai ability to put him quickly into a grapple state. Umube (crying bird lady) destroys maximum ki very quickly, the 4 armed sword yokai does damage and very good ki damage, and that annoying spinning wind weasel. Again, use them after he hits zero ki to quickly destroy his maximum ki, which then puts him into a grapple state. Do note that all yokai gain back a good portion of maximum ki after summoning the dark realm.
This is a great tip! I had a tough time playing cat and mouse with Otake's Ki meter but it forced me to understand the ins and outs of Ki breaking; unfortunately I didn't learn that until the very end of the game haha, knowing this I probably would have had a much easier time in my first playthrough. I'll be sure to keep your tip in mind when I go through way of the strong

I was LVL 100 with Twin Blades and Spear. No special build, but I was lightweight armor.😊
I really appreciate all your boss guides man, they helped me out tremendously. I have a question though. My main is a Spear and my secondary is dual swords. I used the swords only a little before completely using the spear the entire game. Now I want to get the Mystic Art for the Dual Swords. What are some of the best skills to get for dual swords while working to get 120,000 proficiency ?
The 3 Key skills to get is God Wind - Main combo Minds Eye - Massive Attack Boost Cross Slash - For high damage when enemies are downed or for cheesing big/slow enemies
Yo bro nice vid! But can I ask u something is odachi and a dual sword a good combo??? They both scale with heart and strength so I feel scaling wise it should be good but I’m asking cuz I wanna use a odachi and a dual sword
Just played through it and got him first go pretty much no problems. I’ve done all side missions so was slightly above level but definitely not difficult in my opinion.
Hey. Just subbed to you today, but have been watching your video since a month ago, your walkthrough they are entertaining! finally i found a guy that know how to play, and have a calming voice and comments on the game. Currently i watch your sekiro playthrough while im playing it on the pc to trace youre steps, and it was a blast. my only complaint is that you dont touch much lore, but hey its fromsoft games, their lore are scattered. anyway, best wishes for your channel man, keep it up.
Haha, thanks for the compliments & support, Depol. As for talking about the lore of the games, I usually just let the experts take care of that department. I just stick to the strategies department :o)
Holmes over here making this fight look easy 😂 my God the feral kicked my butt. The one where he throws the blade in last form, dude did this move back to back on me. Got me the 2nd time. There's also this attack where he slides behind and then does this fire in a straight line. Pretty hard to dodge as well. That darn attack got me every time unless I did feral dodge
Took me 6 tries. I used stones to remain perpetually in yokai form for the final phase lol. The first three phases are easy until he starts doing that circle blade attack. I had a sword build with 47 heart that hit for 900 and a mish mash of Armor. I've no patience to create builds and stack set bonuses etc
@@PartStupid Depends, if you have an actual physical disability that hinders you then fair enough. Very disappointing final boss all over. Team Ninja didn´t even give him an own level, you had to run through the half of another one. And the fight itself was laughable. I nearly got him on first try. With a tiny bit of his live bar left he killed me with his ultimate burst attack, because I became too greedy. On second try I had zero problems. The last side mission was a big letdown too. Tons of Yokai to kill until you fight the SAME boss in the SAME area like in another side mission before. WTF? Luckily I have Platinum now and can close the chapter "Nioh 2".
That last stage really does it to me, especially that grab.
me: buffs up attack and defense and purifys weapon, does a flashy 15 hit combo
Otakemaru: trashes me in two hits.
That last spinning thanos sword bs got me searching for this guide.. Thanks!

He gets a lot easier if you get really close and low stance it for the entire last phase. Watch out for fire ball when up close.

@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 - What's that dual-blades buff icon you have - seems to proc on basic hit?
If you're talking about the red one its from ki pluse. If it's the blue sword one that's based on well timed dodge.
Mystic art. Every time you land a attack for the dual blades the next attack uses less ki. The counter version of that is gaining defense with hits.
@@xHolmesWalkthroughsx7 Thanks man! I had some difficulty beating him last night I did some grinding and upgrading and beat Otakemaru just now!
