Hi! The leggy plant is a rhaphidophora tetrasperma, no relation to monsteras. For some reason a bunch of companies label them as “mini monstera” which just confuses people.
The other two look like they are monstera borsigiana which is basically the sibling of monstera deliciosa. They do the same thing and have the same growth habit as deliciosa but the leaves tend to stay smaller.
Monstera and philodendron are two different genus. Lots of times monstera get labeled as philodendrons, but they are completely different geniuses.

Laura, this vid is a great example of how you show many of us what's possible when we think it's impossible. I'm sure a lot of people would've tossed those plants that broke or did not know what to do with the main plants that needed to be repotted.

Get the table top carpenter to come back and build a small table at end of big table for the catch-all items, but build it lower so that trash can just slides underneath. Use a big basket on the top to make tidying up easier to carry around and put away the accumulated items.

If a plant could speak, they would feel like me (age 63) being told to stretch every morning. It’s uncomfortable but is paying off. You inspire me. I am going to rearrange my plants too. I need to get them away from the windows before that crazy cold air puts frost on them. Stay safe and warm these next few days.

Have you considered rearranging the room, so that the pretty painting and gray console were on the back wall by the back door (under the mini-split)? That would be so attractive to be the first thing to see when you walked into the studio. You could also move your long potting table to that end of the room (so that we would see the pretty painting and console behind you when you’re filming). The standing lights, camera tripod, etc., could be stored over in the back right corner.
It would really open the room, and Aaron’s desk could be kept on its same wall, just slid further toward the front door.

Nice to have things cleaned up! Whenever I see the studio, I want to move all the wooden shelving onto the same wall for a more uniform look. Then I would put all the white shelving together as well. And I want to move those big, round baskets to the top of the black shelving. It’s easier to organize someone else’s space, then tackle your own! 😁

Isn’t playing with houseplants the best!! I love my houseplants during wintertime when I’m missing being outside in the garden. They get over-loved during the winter, and under-watered during the summer😂😂😂 My husband got concerned regarding the abundance of houseplant purchases last winter, convinced they would die of neglect during the summer. I’m happy to report most are still alive, and the ones that did die must have been bad plants😂😂😂

New life goal: a heated plant space where I can putter to my hearts content. The studio is such a nice space to get work done! Feels like a home, not like a greenhouse, yet still so comfy. Sadly, I have a dining room table and people that expect the soil to be removed before they eat there. (the nerve!) LOL

Monsteras need a free draining soil of broken up coir brick, succulent mix, pumice or perlite, and some potting mix, well mixed.
Usually i put a good amount of scoria at the bottom of the pot.
If you only use potting mix they tend to get root rot.
The reason the leaves are so straggly is due to lack of light.
Aroids and most tropicals are not like ordinary house plants.

ahhh, a clean space.. helps my mind to have things organized so i can get everything all messy again, hahaha.. IDEA FOR THE GARBAGE CAN: i bet builder-magician Paul could fashion an easy table top on long legs to fit over that trash can... leaving at least the area by you open (you might want to hide the front for camera appeal), put the garbage can on a large plant caddy, then just wheel it out from the table to throw trash in it - you have your table top for convenience and the g. can is still available to use... of course, i'm no builder, but it sounds like a top, a front, maybe 1 other side to hide the can, the open area for the can, and legs tall enough to fit next to the work table... i'm just the idea man, my hubby is the builder-magician here, hahaha... anyway, studio looks good, plants look so much better, and ready for seed starting.. ps.. it's nice to know even the experts can snap a plant like that, lol... whew, it happens to me more than i care to think.. OOPS! 🙃 looks like a great day!! 🥰❤ thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

Garden Answers, Laura, Aaron and freinds~ You can cut up an onion~put 1/2 it on a plate and put it on a dresser in your child's, sick persons room~it will draw all germs to it. Use the other 1/2~divide this half again. Put each part in a plastic bag and put each foot in the plastic bag, then socks over the bags, feet. Due this at bed time~you will be amazed at how quickly one will recover. You can also put a cut up onion on a plate and put it in the refrigerator or any area where there is an odor(a freshly painted room, anything stinky) for 24 hours and the smell will be gone.

They'd have their own 'cell' and wouldn't fall through the shelving...was it a wire shelf? (amazon has a set of 3 for $10 - It's 2 20 cell organizers and a third cloth box in gray. The squares look to be about 3 inches wide...that might fit your camera lenses.) The third box may take care of the over sized stuff. The studio looks great!

“I had a thought” If you’d hang your 2 beautiful baskets, untill you’ll need them, it would free up some space on your cabinet.

Such a good feeling of accomplishment when we get organized! Any ideas on how to soften t-shirts? Hubby surprised me with G.A Russell and cheddar tshirt and it is very rough! Any ideas would be appreciated ❤

I have a huge Monstera plant that I’m really close to giving away because it’s so gangly and unattractive looking! No wonder…..who knew it needed a pole to climb up? (Well, everyone but me, probably). My plant sits on a 4ft stand and I used to let the aerial roots just grow over the sides onto the floor, until I discovered they had actually attached themselves to the wood. Unfortunately, it left a few nasty marks when I pried them up. Another reason for me not to be wild about this guy. So, the refresh on your little monsteras couldn’t have been more timely for the sake of the relationship I have with my Monstera. Now I’m going to repot him with a pole, trim the roots, and attempt to make friends again with “Monster-plant”. After all, it is a new year, it was partly my fault and everyone deserves a second chance, right? Thanks so much for the help……oh, and “Monster-plant” thanks you too. 😉

I don’t know about Monstera Minima but those look like juvenile Monstera Deliciosa. The Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is commonly named Mini Monstera. You could that chop the mini monstera chop into nodes, propagate them and maybe get a fuller pot of plant.

Oh to have the energy Laura has!!! My season is so very different this year. Mine is the season of retirement, sorting, and downsizing. Then, moving from California to Ohio. I'll miss it here, I will be closer to family.

I have never seen those moss training poles before! I’ve only used the skinny bamboo poles cut to size and then I use the soft butterfly clips to train the little stems. I’ll have to look for the kind you used, thank you!

I'm definitely gonna need an update on both types of monstera in a few months. Mine look just like that right now 😅
