Delphine feels like the kind of character that draw Lorraine back into the warmth of the light and away from the dark underworld of the spy life.
Mar. There aren't happy endings for characters like Lorraine. The best she can hope for is a few fleeting moments of genuine joy and comfort before a new chapter begins.

The band Nena wondered what if something like that happened along the Berlin Wall, it sure would have started a war over nothing...over 99 red balloons.. i think it's both beautiful and heartbreaking. 😭

Another story says that it was inspired by numerous balloons being released during a Rolling Stones concert in Western Berlin, some of the Nena members being there (rock concerts very close from the Berlin Wall were a common thing at the time, they were making sure that the sound could be heard from Eastern Berlin as a kind of western propaganda). The Nena musicians imagined the balloons flying over Eastern Germany and starting a war incident. We can note the balloons are red only in the song's english version, which is not the original one. No colour mentioned in the original lyrics, but in the MV the flying balloon released by Nena is indeed red. The story about the Rolling Stones might be true, as they indeed performed in Berlin in August 1982. Wasn't that fussed on the film itself but this scene was perfect! It made the entirety of the the war look pointless and everything that all the operatives from both sides of the wall had endured for years seemed like it was all for nothing. Very haunting.

It’s also not just for the men, as sex appeals to everyone on some basic level. However, some people are able to ask themselves “is this really all that? A shot of a sideboob, some oiled abs and tight underwear, is it really worth my time, money, and investment?” It doesn’t matter to me who the people are in a relationship. I want one that feels real, that I can be invested in. That said, having a gay couple for the sake of having a gay couple is not going to achieve that, it will be the opposite effect. It seems to me that just as many movies nowadays that use sex appeal also use representation appeal, to the same end. I still recall a couple of gay friends of mine complaining about being baited into thinking Solo: A Star Wars Shitter was going to have Lando as gay. I can, to some extent, understand, but that’s just as bad as going to a Bond film because the trailer showed tiddies. This is why I love Atomic Blonde. It’s a good relationship that stands on its own as a *relationship* and not a sex scene or bait for people that feel some superficial connection with the character based on a single personality trait. On a side note, you make it seem like it’s just men that watch lesbian porn, when that’s just not it. You’re spot on about relationships being there just for the sex, but you narrow the specifics down to the point that it looks like you’re trying to make an enemy to fight.
