He was able to overcome all of that by his mental capacity and work ethic. You can say he had all these weapons but what did these players do after they were with Manning? Julius Thomas, Eric Decker, Wes Welker, Demarcus Thomas, Knowshon Mareno? To me he is the greatest QB ever. From who he is as a person and role model to how he played the game.
Many QBs are amazing like Brady, Brees, Marino. But he CHANGED the game. He was doing 30 plus touchdown seasons and 4000 yard seasons long before it was the norm. He was so great year in and year out. He never had the luxury of a consistently great coach, or defense, or running game. He was the team every year it felt except his final season. To do what he did, taking 4 different coaches to a Super Bowl. Winning 2, rewriting the record book in different decades, always pushing defenses to rethink how they play, I strongly believe had Manning had better support on all sides of the ball he’d have more championships. He definitely had his moments where he choked away but his great moments far outweigh his bad ones. He was so fun to watch, so precise, so smart. Made everyone around him better from the coaches to the first year players. His stats are amazing, and granted his post season play wasn’t always perfect he has some of the most amazing moments in playoff history like his perfect game in 2003 wildcard against Denver, or the greatest comeback over the Patriots after trailing 21-3 in the championship game. He will forever have a winning record against Brady in the postseason and holds a 3-1 Championship record against him.
My favorite moment from Manning though was the 2013 Super Bowl and the snap that went over his head and we won easy. ;) Miss you Peyton! Go Hawks.

Patriots with Matt Cassel instead of Brady - 11-5. Colts without Manning - 2-14. Tell me again how Brady is the better quarterback? (Unless you're going to try making the ridiculous argument that Cassel is actually a great QB in disguise...)
Also, Manning played every game as a Bronco without being able to feel his right arm and hand due to damage done in his spine.

I'm sorry, no QB ever played the game like Peyton did, including the 6 ring "GOAT"/busted cheater. Where is he on this exclusive list of QBs with 7 TDs in one game? Also he holds the most TDs in any single season, even more than the GOAT and the electrifying Patrick Mahomes who looked unstoppable in 2018. Brady would be nothing without Bill Billicheat and his sidekick in crime Josh McDaniels (Unfortunately the Broncos HC for 2 years and also got busted cheating then too).
Yes a lot of people will argue that he was surrounded by talent which is very true, he was but then were a ton of other QBs in history but they never made records or played the game like Peyton.
The Sheriff commanded the field like Napoleon did during the French revolution. A pure tactician in his field and surgically decimated his opponents. Never have I seen a QB read defenses like he could and change the play according to how he saw fit and the respect he commanded from his coaches to allow him to do so with such freedom. Peyton is the ONLY QB in history to win the Superbowl with 2 different teams. I would love to see the "GOAT" attempt such a feat. I could almost guarantee you that it would be impossible.
So sad to have seen the ending of my favorite player of all time but blessed to have been able to witness the magic in my lifetime.

I respect Brady as a QB more now that I ever did before, but only due to the fact that he won a separate championship without Billicheat. Honestly I respect QB's without any Superbowl rings more than I do Brady, like Dan Marino. Greatest QB to never win a SB. I used to like the Patriots way before everyone jumped on the Bandwagon. Up until their first cheating scandal. Then after that I lost all respect for them and always will until Billicheat leaves and they have a more respectable coach in there.
