I was amazed when I got this in my Witches Moon box. I spent over an hour just going over and over this deck. It is really the first RWS that has prompted so much emotion from me. It is memorizing. I am so glad that you like it.

Your commentary on individual cards was spot on, you said what I thought. But your way of explaining was done so honestly and sincere. I seem to always be attracted to The Hermit and this deck has the best one. A new subbie here.
Simon, so glad you like this deck. I didn't think it would be a style to your taste. When I first saw it, I wondered, despite my love of art nouveau, if it might be too gaudy for me, as I said in my review a few weeks back, like glitter on sequins on rhinestones. When I saw Dustin do a review of the Tarot Black & Gold edition and saw that this deck was priced $12 cheaper I was puzzled by that, but, made up my mind to get it. I love the autumn color palette, and deck in hand don't find it too blingy after all, but just a delight for the holidays. I love a bit of ornament around the holidays. I still think it makes a perfect holiday gift. The illustrations I like better than the Tarot Mucha (with which I found disappointment) and think that I'd love it even if it came without the gold bling because they are so beautifully done. And, like you I, love The Hermit card, particularly for its depiction with snow! It is a treat to see the dramatic, almost Sarah Bernhardt-ish theatrical closeups of a very good representation of the RWS imagery. I think I"m OK with the borders, but wonder if it'd been even better in a borderless edition. So much for all my rambling thoughts and notations.
I must have missed your walk-through on that one Robin, for some reason! Unless I have commented on it and then just put it out of my mind? I was so surprised by just how much I connected with these images when I saw Dan show them. Definitely a deck I’ll be using over the Christmas period 🙏🏼

I just ordered this deck, and saw you did a video on it. . I will get the golden universal also later, as I love the colours in that one. It was a tough call. I grabbed this first because of the facial expressions and close ups of the characters .

Love this deck it is one of a few I'm learning with, I've been getting all 3 of their boxes for months. The artwork and information is very pleasing to me the bounty box with it's pendants are my favorite go figure ...lol (I have 2 girls one soon to be off to college and threatening to take some...Hah not). The oils and sprays are wonderful but I do have a collection that I know I'll not use but am not ready to give up my boxes..lol. Enjoy and breathe, the holidays were not meant for stressing out but reflecting and looking forward to the future and you add joy to a lot of us with your personality and leading us to people/friends of yours who add that same flare and enthusiasm. The Hermit’s Cave when it was on Kickstarter, I was sure I wouldn’t like it. So I didn’t back it! My sister did however... she got hers about a week or so ago, and when I went to visit.... I had to have them!!! I thought the guide words would bother me, they didn’t at all.. I found it on Etsy right away and ordered it. It’s not really my type of deck. I’ve been big into the gold foil- this one for example. Or, Ethereal Visions- is another favorite of mine. I have a lot of favorites! I didn’t think I’d like it. But with everything you get for $40 (there’s a $5 off promo code if you decide to use it let me know!) I don’t regret it all. And the 4 bonus cards it comes with, I’ll actually use. They make sense.. I love it and I was surprised how much I loved it! BUT! Different strokes for different folks!! It’s definitely different. But I was really pleasantly surprised!
