I wish there was a spin TV cable channel I could watch stuff like this all day I CAN GET ENOUGH!
This coverage and commentary makes me appreciate Jomez and BigSexy even more.
Dude seriously thank you guys for these perfectly shot videos i really enjoy watching and man I wish I could play this beautiful course in japan!! Looks sick!!
Integrity line....Dave Feldberg is a true gentleman and scholar. Cheers! Take your OB and move on.
Couldn't even tell you how many times I've watched this final 9, one of my favorites!
Great commentary, footage, and insight. thanks!
I really liked how Dave Feldberg, having played on this card, was able to explain things about each player's thinking for each shot as we were viewing them playing.
Great stuff guys! I love hearing Feldberg talk about disc golf.
Great Vid! Great Guest. Keep this up and you'll be swimming in subs in no time. These are some of the best quality disc golf videos on youtube.
Can't upvote this enough. What an amazing set of videos SpinTV has created here. Outstanding coverage, and then to cap it off, we get David commentating the final 9! What more could you ask for?
The production quality is top notch: the filmwork is excellent, the editing spot-on, the 1080p is outstanding, and I doubt it is possible to provide a higher quality commentary. Well done team - and congratulations to Dave for making 4th. I am a huge fan of his, and I am so glad to see him recovering from his foot surgery, and doing so well with 150 Latitudes. I really thought that final Sinus was going to make it!
Thanks so much for the fantastic videos. They are truly great additions to Disc Golf History.
Nice video guys thanks!!!
Amazing coverage. Stunning. Thank you.
Awesome, very nice! thank you!!
This was a lot of fun to watch! :)
GREAT JOB GUYS!!
Huge fan....keep up the great work
Look how young they are!
Thumbs down for constantly patting himself on his back and telling us who won before the coverage was over...numerous times smh.
Thank you.
Does Feldberg ever shut the hell up? Gives away what's happening on each hole.
I don't like it when players that are in the final round comment. They usually spill the beans on who wins, like Dave did @ the 19min mark.
filoIII he had pretty much already won. he was just explaining Ricky's strategy to close it out
Such a beautiful course, and great camera work. I just wish the players were allowed max weight discs.
Love these coverages, but please don't kill the suspense by saying who's placing where three or four holes from the end like Feldberg does here, over and over again. Also, try to mix up the names in the title if they are the same as the result list.
Thanks for commentating Dave Feldberg! Great footage and coverage! So so solid! This stuff is TV quality. Lets get this on ESPN, but NEVER take it off youtube.
great commentary team! I think Dave has a side career as a commentator. I could listen to his insight on shots all day. Great production.
no way, he tells you who wins and gets second several holes before it is over. We all know what is likely but lame to say what is going to happen before it happens! He does it on drives too. #DFspoileralert
Nice to see Feldberg out playing again. Congrats to RIcky.
this is the coolest thing ive ever seen, sign me up
What's up with the strange background noise in last third of video?
Good play by play announcing and excellent analysis/commentary by Feldberg. Brings great insight that covers all facets of the game and from a pros perspective. Keep it up and hope you do more commentary in future.
YESSSSSSSS
great video. love Feldberg's commentary.
Impressive coverage as usual, SpinTV, but certainly not "exclusive" (I noticed at least two other crews filming during the round).
Where can their footage be seen?
Esa Arokki
"First to publish" is not synonymous with "exclusive." Your coverage would be exclusive if there were no other videos of the JO Final 9 to ever be published, but that will certainly prove to not be the case.
I don't even know if this is true, but I will still thumbs up McFly :) His videos are on par with professional quality videos like this.
Where does it say that it is exclusive?
Kevin Shorter It's been edited to read "unique" instead of "exclusive."
The comment he made about players self governing themselves more really impressed me. Props to you, Feldberg.
+Landon Stalzer Yeah, I wonder how Dave Feldberg felt about Schusterick's lie on the last hole of the St. Jude Invitational last year.
Is there any coverage of the ladies playing? Also great footage and thank you for taking the time to do it!! Dave is amazing and it was awesome listening to both of you guys. Again thanks!!!
Great camera work. Would love it if the commentators didn't talk through every shot, and especially not tell us what is about to happen. I muted everything after the first hole.
+David Babich I don't like the spoilers but I love the commentary.
Great commentary Dave... it is about adjustments. I think the JO should be Max Weight every other tournament though. Considering that a "local" has never won it and that most of the competitors are International. Think about that.... the Japanese now play 159.99 max weight and even before that 149.99 max weight.... but still have yet to ascend to the top in their own Premier Tournament.
Feldberg is my favorite commentator you guys have featured yet! Bring him on more!
really? he interrupts constantly and he sounds like molberg In rum diary.
I agree with Mike, his voice is annoying and he says some cocky stuff
Amazing how much the skill level has changed in 5 years. During this tournament, the forehand was almost novel and most of them were poorly executed. Were the players playing it safe most of the time, or did they just not have full control of their discs? I ask because I noticed many approach shots ended up very wide of the pin.
I think the rain and the 150 class discs played a huge role here. If you watch the world championships from around this time you can see some high level play that would still fit in today. I would agree that play is evolving though.
way to adjust Nikko!
The SpinTV Was it illegal for these guys to drive off the grass beside the teepad? That pad looks slick.
Competitors were allowed to drive off the grass when tee pad conditions were less than ideal.
3:40 McBeth slides and kicks his disc forward....ruling anyone?
Costalfisherman well, since he can technically put his foot where the disc is sitting..its not a penalty.
+Legend Length you're allowed to step on the disc. Your "lie" is marked by the front most edge of the disc.
cmon guys. read the rule.
802.04 Throwing from a Stance
B. When the disc is released, a player must:
2. Have no supporting point in contact with the marker disc or any object (including the playing surface) closer to the target than the rear edge of the marker disc;
he did not put a marker down, the disc marks the position. You only the the "front edge of the disc" benefit by putting down a marker.
total foot fault, and obvious by the disc moving. very surprised no one called it.
Dave felberg is so good commentary!
Congrats Ricky.
wtg rick dawg
Awesome footage and commentary. Get Feldberg on the phone more often...
Love Feldberg you da man!
I kept thinking Nikko was going to jump on a dirt bike in between holes. Those pants
24:56 Lol at Avery Jenkins getting denied
do any of these guys who normally throw top weight that had to throw the 150s,throw the 150 now?
None is a broad generalization, but I'd say it's highly unlikely. The power with which they throw makes the 150-class discs unpredictable.
I know that I can't stand the light discs. Way too unpredictable.
Some guys use them for max distance competitions (Dave Wiggins Jr is one for sure) but for actual golf shots, no.
Speaking of max distance did you hear about Simon Lizotte breaking the record? 263 meters. Holy shit.
Nniicce
It would probably take 50 under to win with this same card in 2018
Why do they say you have to throw below 160 grames
In Japan, they limit the weight of discs to a maximum of 159g. I'm not entirely sure why, but this is consistent throughout the country from my understanding.
konichiwa
Then he shows up at the Kaposia and throw putters and mid ranges a mile.. nbd
So much spoil from Feldberg. He just can't help himself.
Keep him out of the booth. I like to watch his throws.
Had to hit mute after two holes!! Listening to Feldberg is not fun.
Ya he didn't do very well at co-commentating. Kept trying to take over
Dave = excellent spokesman for disc golf! #ESPNCommentatorOneDay? #HesGotMyVote
I need Feldberg’s coke guy
Man listening and watching Dave is horrid..
shoot me, but I feel this course is boring
i really dislike that Dave guy talking and hyping himself up like he's on their level...he had to compare himself to every shot or excuse for every screw up.
He is on their level. He is in the top 5 best disc golfers to ever play. And he sets up his shots by shots he sees from his opponent. His arm may not be as big as some of these younger guys but who cares. He makes up from it with knowledge of the discs and shot selection. He is great on the masters tour but i still think he should compete full time on the open devision. It seems like every tournament he plays in the open devision he gets close and is always is right there. If he would work on his in the circle putting a bit. But that is my only critique on him.
Dave is such a crybaby. I love what he does for the sport, but man, just stop acting like a know-it-all.
I know this is from years ago, but I just got into disc golf, and I'm going back to catch up on the history. What the Feldberg guy is so damn annoying. A)He gave away what was taking place before it happened. B)The guy is cocky, saying "this is how I keep up with those young guys
Be aware, and respect the history of where your sport came from. One round a day isn't "traditional" in "ball" golf. None of the comments about the course, or anything REAL golf related was correct. It's a shame...
@Mike West You can talk S*&^ about Dave when you are as educated as he is and playing in Japan in Final 9.. Oh, and win World Championship...until then, you stop interrupting and be respectful..
That is for his play. I knew who was going to win since the third hole of the final 9.
Crappy announcer.
He is a bad commentator he told us what was going to happen before if even happens
