Luffy’s VA is soooo good. You can always hear the emotions in her voice. She really adds depth to the voice acting

As someone who binged OP just to catch up quickly; I forgot most of hit because I was watching like 20 episodes per day, rewatching it with you guys will feel like watching it for the first time I'm sure. So yes, definitely take your time! Pacing gets terrible after/during a certain arc but that's in like 600 episodes so until then I'm excited!
Thomas Ellis was the Ideal perfect pick for Mihawk, but if they casted him, then every one would just be calling Mihawk Lucifer and it would take away from how awesome Mihawk is

@@rand12389 His voice just doesn't carry that same confidence though...he sounds so out of it in the live-action whereas in the anime he sounds confident and strong.
Ive been waiting for you guys to watch this fight to say this: See how at one point, Mihawk stabbed Zoro in the Chest and Zoro didnt retreat, Mihawk noticed that and didnt pierce all the way through (Cause that would have been his heart pierced). So Zoro actually chose death over "losing" in that moment. I think that moment is pretty relevant to depict Zoros character, which is why it bothered me quite a bit, that in the Live Action, that little knife pierce wasnt on the side of his heart but rather a regular chest stab that wouldnt have been lethal. They really missed that detail in the LA :)

At least the anime one doesn't do the stupid pug voice like the LA one. I dunno what is is with English voice acting but for some reason they think that deep voice equals intimidating. It onky come sout as comical and silly instead
Don Krieg "Mihawk must have a Devil Fruit power, no way he could cut a ship in half without it" ...Don Krieg proceeds to throw a small ship one handed and Pearl puts himself on fire cause he's scared, all without a Devil Fruit lol

actually the live action did a good job adapting the anime and manga since they came first. I also like how Zoro was surprised by how much stronger Mihawk was. The live action version Zoro was just too cocky after Mihawk stopped his initial attack with the knife.
idk I love how the anime mihawk sounds confident and calm. The one in the live action sounded too elegant. I love how the anime one smiles and compliments Zoro while the live action just makes some elegant snotty comment.
This is where i started being interested, I wasn't even sure how much I liked it until the next arc! It just took a while to grow on me and to really get deep but became my favorite story
Around the Same time. It was kinda lame then the last 2 episodes really picked as she said and I became more & more interested. Drum Island, was when I knew this anime was great.
5:07 Honestly they nailed Hawkeye in the live-action he just needs to have that energy! Like he revels in the challenge from a strong or strong at heart fighter like Zoro. To see the potential in Zoro

The anime definitely focuses this arc more on Sanji's conflict between the debt he feels he owes Zeff and his dream.
In the anime Sanji actually witnesses Zoro fighting Mihawk and becomes infurriated that Zoro is ready to die for his dream.
After all Sanji was able to give up on his dream of finding the all blue to help out Zeff. So why won't Zoro just do that?
Yeah, the LA may have gotten the flashback right when it comes to Zeff losing his leg, but completely erased Sanji's development in what should have been his arc, and made him mostly just a nice side character.
Why do people stress yall to hurry up? If anything, they should be happy that we'll have multiple years of One Piece reactions from yall
Little correction about the subs, Mihawk is the strongest swordman, not the strongest man. This kind of mistakes in the subs make things a bit confusing going on😅

Yes people in this world can obtain increased strenght, speed, resistance and things like that without an abilty but right now super abilities like luffy's or buggy's are reserved for devil fruits. Watch at your own pace but I'd suggest watching 4 episodes at a time or adjust according to the story and make 2 or 4 episodes because then you'll be better immerse in the arc. For example, Zoro's fight with Mihawk and Luffy's fight with Don Kreig.
Do you know how boring it is to be the strongest and best swordsman in the world? He went to kill don kreig just for a little fun that surely wouldn't be satisfying. Meet with Zoro and his determination It gave him an emotion that he had forgotten because surely he was like Zoro at some point and that's why he let him live. Also, later it would be known that he recognized Luffy's hat. And Luffy is like Shanks' protégé and Shanks is not just any pirate.

While Don Kreig is indeed scum, his voice actor voices one of my favourite anime characters in all of anime - youll get there eventually when you guys start Bleach. And you will lol cause the fandom is just so huge and your channel is just so good. Oh and yes, as many have pointed out, it's possible to get amazingly strong in this world through incredibly hard work, without having eaten a devil fruit. Anyway, this is the one I was looking forward to and it was an amazing reaction, thank you!

Your mistake was watching the movie first before the anime because the scenes are out of order and you’ve got introduce to some characters too early…when say it’s not following the movie, the movie in a way is not following the anime
