    Denis, I really apreciate your channel. My son is an 8 years old piano player and is doing very well. We always watch your videos. Thank you very much. Greetings from Brazil!

    I love how you start the video intro with the really tricky presto which swaps the direction of rotation almost every bar!
    Also "yes...I am cheating" 🙂

    Muchas gracias. Me gusta mucho este canal te explicas muy bien y es una delicia escucharte tocar el piano. ¿Conoces Albéniz? ¿Has tocado alguna pieza suya? Yo adoro su obra Triana de la Suit Iberia. Sería fantástico escucharte tocarla algún día. Un saludo de una seguidora española.

      I have played only Godowsky’s transcription of Triana. Once many years ago I even had a funny story on Iturbi competition in Valencia, where I have played this transcription instead of the original Albeniz piece, and got disqualified for this lol 😂.
      However the public loved this🥹

      @@DenZhdanovPianist Lamento mucho la descalificación pienso que fueron injustos y careció de fundamento. Imagino que se debió al amor que sentimos los españoles por nuestra patria y por Albéniz (sé que aún así no es justificable). También es hermosa la transcripción, distinto estilo. Seguro que el público la disfrutó mucho. Yo soy de Valencia, si vuelves por mi tierra a dar un concierto asistiría encantada.

    the presto section remains very hard to play in tempo with accuracy and evenness
    and yes across bars 32-33 is so tricky

    • @DenZhdanovPianist
      @DenZhdanovPianist  Před rokem +3

      It’s also important to consider that slow tempi were traditionally faster, and fast tempi were slower during Baroque times😉

    Проще говоря, современные пианисты берут за основу интерпретацию Святослава Рихтера, не Глена Гульда. И исходя из этого и создают свои short tips.

    Denis, I've never played a fugue (or any piece by Bach) before. Would the Fugue from 847 be a bit too challenging for me? Is it better to learn an invention and sinfonia beforehand? My general level is somewhere in the ABRSM 5 level (I've learned Mozart K. 397, Rondo Alla Turca from K. 331, working on the Durande Valse in E-flat major, at the moment). I'm currently working through your Czerny Op. 299 course. I just love Bach so much and would like to play him more. I think practically no this piece my heart (aurally).

    • @DenZhdanovPianist
      @DenZhdanovPianist  Před 8 měsíci +1

      This fugue is among not difficult ones, but if you are unsure of course it’s a good idea to start from inventions or sinfonias.

  • @karolpiql
    @karolpiql Před rokem

    I play it currently on similar tempo as you. My teacher says that it should be played just from a fingers, without rotation you mentioned but with clear articulation of every note and stable wrist instead. This is almost opposite of what you said.

    • @DenZhdanovPianist
      @DenZhdanovPianist  Před rokem +1

      Yeah there are as many ways to teach piano as there are teachers.
      In case you’d feel any soreness or pain in the hands you might want to revisit this video, but I hope this won’t be the case.
