    thanks a lot for sharing such a great jig. In making hexagon lots of wood pieces go to dustbin. Can you suggest anything or plan that can bring wasted pieces in use.
    I dislike victorian furniture due to wantage factor of wood.

    The runners should be thinner than the depth of your slot. The way you've done it, the center will "sag" and reduce your accuracy, if they don't pinch your blade causing a kickback.
    Also rolled up tape is a crap way to attach, either use double sided tape or allow a few drops of glue (with weight on top) to set before drilling and screwing.

    • @gmxdiy8596
      @gmxdiy8596  Před rokem +1

      @@gmxdiy8596 One other suggestion: when dropping the plate onto the runners, slide the fence over and use it as a guide to brace against as you tip the plate onto the runners.

    Crosscutting against a fence is not advised. The stock can jam between the blade and the fence with violent result. Using a sled and stop block is accurate and safe.

    • @gmxdiy8596
      @gmxdiy8596  Před 2 lety +1

      The nice thing is that the jig being used would give you the angles needed to make the shelf parts since they are at the correct angles! May make one specific to that!

Come over to see why these 2 sticks are now sticky. Lie down, not throwing any sticks for me, but I am watching, hoping, waiting patiently. Maybe next time

    Jeez! Please please please watch some videos on table saw safety you made some pretty serious mistakes in less than the first minute of this video. If you’re making a video on how to do some thing you do have a responsibility to make sure that it’s done safely so as not to perpetuate bad habits and potentially get somebody hurt
