This is my second playthrough i forgot most of this dungeon so i came here aka where i learned to beat it but his strategy isnt the best for the boss i recomend staying above him and hitting him because it made me take no damage.
You can do the sequence without the flippers by doing precice pegasus boot jumps

Just wanted to say thanks bro for the castlevania sotn help got my platinum too, with Richter was my hardest lol cuz I never got the air dush down so I just did the slide on sum pikes lol but thank u very much.
Those spikes are the worst! Some people go through the inverted Colosseum, but I really hate that place. I'm glad you were able to get through it though!

DUDE THANKS. I was just playing about 2 hours how to get into the mountains since I didn't see the f"*king door @12:48. Was playing for all that time, going back into that room a few times and didn't see it...
The game is def not very straightforward it can be tough to find out where to go at times lol

@@SweetJohnnyCage yeah. i grazed the very edge of the platform, but kept slipping off. but it made the platform glow anyway.
i got frustrated so i looked this up, cuz i felt like i accidentally glitched the game and i didnt wanna win that way. i thought i was SUPPOSED to use the feather. apparently not.
For the second tile puzzles it wasn't the same as the video it was different. Could the updated versions have anything to do with us?
Hmmmm. I guess that's possible, but it could also be random. The first time you see the puzzle, the solution will be the same in the other room. I'm not sure if it will be the same as mine, but one puzzle mimics the other.

I always get stuck on the dumbest shit. I couldn't find the key I needed in the dungeon for like an hour because I didn't know how to kill the Spinies.

How do you get the heart piece at 12:30 though?
You can't until way later when you're headed to Level 8. If you want it sooner, once you have the hookshot and flippers, head further up Tal Tal Mountains and once you're at the top, head West until you find a lone bush. Slice the bush to reveal a staircase. Down these stairs you'll be in a cave with a bombable wall. Blow this open to get to the heart piece you see in this video.
I'll have a heart piece guide soon after I'm done with the dungeon guides :)
U can go back up the stairs, push the rock diagonal to the crystal, push the rock above he crystal to the lef, then destroy the crystal and he the hear piece

I haven't heard of any heart pieces being glitched or anything, so it's possible you already got it.

Not that I'm aware of. I think it's there to make it seem like a dream, and I'm sure it's masking some of the loading.
Keep in mind this was a gameboy game back in the day the blur is just areas that would be off screen back on the orginal game

You have to start a new file to get rid of the thief name.
Make sure you do all the previous steps of the trading sequence to get Papal to appear on the mountain.
