  • I hope this was helpful, if you have any more tips to share then feel free to comment. Also remember to share the video to others that may like to get better at this track.
This car and track combination is very difficult and will take time to adapt to. This was also one of my messier laps in a lap guide but I've tried to show and talk about the optimum way to drive it.
Lap time in the video is a 1:45.6 (Ferrari 499P Hypercar) using the default setup with soft tires, low fuel and 51:49 brake bias. You could take the brake bias a couple percent further rearward to help with front locking.

    UPDATE:
Since the 26th March 2024 update of LMU, the Ferrari Hypercar has taken a hit in the Balance Of Performance so it will be slower, however everything in this guide still applies. The only thing I might suggest is that if you are suddenly going a little too deep into turns, then just brake half a car length earlier than before.

This circuit is impossible for me... No grip at all. Can't seem to go below the 1.50's. How you manage to lap this track 6+ seconds faster than my very best in the same car is spectacular.

It took me a good while to get the hang of this car and track, these cars feel horrible at Sebring and I personally think the hypercars in LMU in general feel off compared to the LMP2 and GTEs.

    Hey,
Thanks for the lap info, great.
Can you maybe tell me how you display the gas and brake bars on the Ferrari in the video in Sebring?
Is this an additional app or can it be set in the game?
An answer would be very nice.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your comment Manny, I put that pedal graphic on my video as an edit to help viewers better see how I'm braking and accelerating throughout the lap. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to do this in the game right now but I do wish there was. I often like to set my pedal inputs on the screen like this in sim games when I can.

      Thanks for the quick reply.
It's a shame that such a setting doesn't exist in the game yet, and that you can't move the information on the HUD like you can with Tiny Pedal because that's very helpful for beginners like me.

1:45.6! Pretty much the same time with the irl pole lap last year. Anyway how do you usually warm your tyres up? I always struggle with mine

I actually find it quite interesting that in both the hypercars and LMP2 at Sebring in LMU, they are slower than the real life times, particularly the LMP2. In every other case that I remember, LMU lap times are faster than the real times.
Regarding your question, I don't really warm the tires up at all, I just run an outlap at regular pace and then I'm good to go. I think the hypercars take a couple laps to get up to optimal grip though

Guys where can I check all the lap times of my practice sessions?

Had LMU since launch but just jumped into Hypercars yesterday. But if I just look at my brake pedal it locks up. Very difficult for me.

I really am not liking how the hypercars are at the moment, there is a big lack of feeling in the FFB and its hard to understand what the car is really doing

I’ve tried to use your lap guide and brake in the same points as you and I always end up in the wall in front of me. I lock my brakes every time I go into a braking zone. Do you use the default braking percentage in the calibration and the car setup, or do you change either of those?

Impressive you can trail brake into the corner with a Hypercar.
Been doing the races this week with the Caddie, turning the wheel while the slightest amount of brake is applies means doing a 180 and losing all grip.
    What's the secret ?

So I honestly haven't driven the other hypercars too much because they haven't shown as much pace potential as the Ferrari but I did have a sort of similar experience with the Caddy at Algarve. I think it would be worth moving your brake bias forward for starters but I think you could also reduce the brake migration (I forgot if the Caddy has brake migration or not). If you have the ability to change the setup then I think you could try stiffen the front end possibly whether it be front spring rates, front bump or even just throw on a little more rear downforce. Otherwise, you'll just have to brake a bit earlier for more confidence entering the turns.
