We traveled to Los Angeles California a few weeks ago to meet Richard Browning from Gravity Industries. He's built a 1000hp jet suit that allows you to fly around like Iron Man. We got to try it last video, but in this video, stick around for an in depth interview that explains how the jet suit works. My long term goal is to build myself a nice little work space so I can build cool stuff on the side. The year is 2123 and you have just picked up a jankey looking BoostSuit240 of craigslist for $120. after fiddling with it in your garage for a few hours and DIYing a fuel system into it you fly down to the local flying spot to meet with your buddy. its a bit slow, topping out at 178mph and one of the engines likes to stall sometimes but for the price what can you expect?

Wouldn't be that hard really. Just have small mounted cameras on the front that transmit to an inner LED HUD within the mask, similar to how the HTC Vive/Index works with its front mounted cameras that allow you to view your real-life surroundings from within the headset.

For the helmet you can do a 3D virtual setup, with cams.
Then project the view ahead through the 3D virtual, while adding in anything else
that's desirable as a viewport into the 3D virtual screen.
That can be customized to any degree, since the projections are all virtual.
Separate data stuffs, like GPS positioning, speed/altitude in graphical bars.
Hindview on lower part of the screen. Activation sequences by testing the eye position,
with a (single eye) blink and/or trigger on either hand.
Once they get it into a true suit, you can even do automated landing.
Lit stuff looking forward to help create an evolving version of it in the future
