    Graph and network theory are foundational to the design and function of social networks. These mathematical frameworks help model relationships, distribution, clusters and interactions in a structured way, enabling various features and functionalities within social platforms. The combination of graph and network theory can support the framework and expansion of networks, significantly influencing the success and pervasiveness of social networking in today's digital society.
    Graph & Network Theory Diagram Symbols
    - Node / Vertex: An individual, platform, page or category. Size may be used to indicate impact of a dataset where appropriate.
    - Edge
    The paths and connections within the graph, establishing relationships between nodes. Edges may be directed or undirected.
