- Update on the clutch cable:
I had forgot I installed a 6in Barnett clutch cable. I sent it back and got an 8in Barnett clutch cable. The stock clutch cable on the scout is 8 inches so if you’re installing these handlebars with the OEM cable you should be good!
My new favorite upgrade on my motorcycle!! These Dean Speed handlebar were very easy to install. I didn’t have to run any wires through the bars which made it super easy. These handlebars are 8”, if you were to go higher you’d probably have to run the wires through the bar(that’s something to keep in mind) and you’d have to extend your clutch and brake cable. Highly recommended upgrade.

Very impressive work.. love seeing young people working on their own bikes.. good job and they look great..
Looks great. Thank You for sharing. Be careful with the tornadoes.
Best upgrade. I went to OEM 10inch and now I enjoy my riding even more
Most definitely! Comfort is important
Looks much more comfortable. Good Job! You are real good mechanically
I bought a same 8inch bar which you installed. Used your promo code!!!😊 thanks I will keep watching your channel.
Such an awesome detailed install video! Thanks!
Just wanted to let you know I found your video very helpful. I just installed the same bars along with an analog tack.
Took them for a test ride and they feel great. It’s funny how just 4 inches higher on the bars changes the overall feeling of curves on the bike. Thanks. Scott
Gee whiz Jamary… you are fearless… new bars look great…another great “how to” vid. 👍🏼🤟🏼👊🏼✌🏼
I just purchased Dean Speed Titus, 8 inch bars for my 23 Scout Bobber ABS. I thought the slight lean wouldn't bother me with the original Scout bars, but after a few months, I started to feel it in my upper back and neck area. Thanks for the suggestion...
Nice job. I would have definitely over thought this process.
They look soooo much better, them low handlebars are not the ones! So glad I have ape hangers on mine! love the Memphis shade too that's my next mod!
Awesome install video 🙌.
I ordered the exact same ones, hopefully they arrive in the next week or two.
Bravo! Job well done
Nicely done
Beautiful!!
Awesome video! Very helpful!
Looking good, so is the bike.
I bet the riding position is a big improvement. Looks good!
Your both bikes are too good
Love it 🔥 🔥🔥
Looks like you've gotten better and better with those tools. it shouldn't be too much longer before you'll be breaking down the engine and the transmission! Of course, that's in between tornado warnings...😃🏍
Great content. Thanks!
Inspirational amazing, your bike looks wow.
Love you already for showing us that anybody can do it.
Thank you beautiful lady ❤
Dodging tornadoes and doing an install...Great job and it looks good too!
Hahaha tornadoes weren’t going to stop me from installing these!!
Jokes aside, I’m glad it didn’t get bad and nobody was affected. Thanks for watching!
@@HER6GEARS Indeed glad you and everyone else in your area was unaffected or at least minimally 😃👍🏿
I got my idian today u inspired me soo much i like u
I just installed the handlebar and oh my, the control is totally different. Just easier and more control cause the leverage compare to stock. Looks great too. Definitely recommend this any one with lower stock handlebar.
Good job. :) It fits very well to the look of your Scout. These tornado warnings are a bit scary for me, I can't imagine how people can get used to them. But a tough girl needs a tough world. :) Cheers from Hungary!
that Midwest life style lets go find the tornado rather than run.
Looks sick!
Hay what year is your bike ? And dose your bike have ABS?
@aarongero5456 2019 non abs
Looking at the “after” pic, have you considered rotating the new handlebars slightly further back towards you? It looks like maybe your arms are a little too straight forward and up high it might be a tad bit more comfortable (and give you more leverage if making an evasive swerve) with a slight bend in your elbows and slightly more angled down position of the arms. That said, everyone has their own posture and sense as to what feels comfortable.
I would definitely get a 3-4” longer than stock clutch cable - that does look too tight. Is your bike ABS? How is the amount of slack now in front brake hydraulic line? When I installed standard Scout handlebars on my ‘20 Bobber with ABS I also got a slightly longer OEM brake line - I can’t find the part # but it was not all the way from the reservoir to the ABS module under the battery box, but rather only about halfway to where it joined another line under the fuel tank on the left side by the frame.
Thank you for getting straight to the point...❤. Do you have a video of you riding with the bars? Also how's the clutch cable?
U are just amazing 😊
I love this video as well as all you others. I love your mods. I notice you haven't dressed up your engine case with black out caps for the silver screws. I have a set available for $50 + shipping. There's 41, and I send a few extra
They're flat black and look amazing.
Yeah it Looks really Nice, i have another question, What for windshield is it? Im from germany and can‘t find one for my Indian Scout Bobber
I have a rouge really like the upgrades you made to yours I like the sissy bar also where can I get one like that
Nice work and a good video. What brand is you screen/ windshield? Thanks
Thanks for the video, how did you manage to loosen the clutch cable?
Can't wait to get out and ride my new Indian Scout once I pass the MSF course this month. Also from Wisconsin know any good routes to take
Good luck on the course!
Your Bobber looks like a Rogue now. You just need the 19" front wheel.
You mentioned the clutch cable feeling tight, was it an issue later on?
Question about the grips....are they bmx vans grips or motocross ones...they're pretty sweet
Great video. By any chance do you have a link for these? I
Just can those handlebars be tilted back towards the driver slitly?
What kind of bag is that what you have behind the fairing? I have the same fairing and been looking for a bag like that for ages now!
It’s a Trashin supply bag, ordered it from Revzilla
necesito mas tutoriales asi
Where did you order the bars from?
your bike is abs or non abs?
what you can tell about the brake and clutch lines? extension needed?
Non abs and no extension needed. The reason my clutch cable was too short is because I forgot I upgraded my clutch cable to a 6” Barnett one. The oem clutch cable is 8”
Did you have to pay the extra $30 for the scout/octane or did u get the plain 1” pipe? Sorry for all the questions 😅
No worries, I don’t mind. But yeah I chose the scout/octane bars
How tall are you? Just for reference. Im 5ft5 and i feel like im reaching way too forward with stock handle bar lol. Looking into getting one
5’7 I pulled them back a little bit and they’ve been great
Are those 1" or 1.25" ?
Where did you purchase your Sissy Bar from?
I have a new Scout 101, and the bars make me stretch forward killing my back. What is the best addon to have the bar come back?
I wish I lived around cute girls that ride badass bikes. Regardless of my foolish comment. Lol,
good job. That was impressive doing that yourself. Riding season is here! Let's Go.
😂 good luck
Hey, not trying to be critical, just thought I’d mention to be very careful with those cables so tight. You can get custom length from where you got your clutch cable upgrade. I’d add 3 to 4 inches. I had issues with not putting on a longer clutch cable especially when I did extended reach handlebars quite a while ago. Have you turned them all the way to the left and right and see if your clutch works as it should? Also it seems like your arms are too stretched, your elbows should have a bit of a bend in them. Too each their own though. Great work doing this all yourself, many people wouldn’t and I think it’s the best way to learn and be self reliant and save $.
Thank you for your comment actually. I did turn them side to side and it didn’t seem to bother but it doesn’t feel right just by touching the clutch cable. I’ll probably be looking to extend them just to be safe. It sucks because I installed a new clutch cable not so long ago.
Thanks for the feedback!
Did u have to end up changing the clutch cable after time
Yeah but just because I forgot I had upgraded to a 6” Barnett clutch cable. OEM cable is 8 inches
does look more comfortable. How tall are you?
Yeah, big difference in comfort! I’m 5’7
brake and clutch what a bout the electrics
All u have to do is turn storm "Alerts" off in ur settings on phone.
It wasn’t an alarm coming from my phone, it’s a town tornado siren
Did u have to get longer brake and clutch cables??
Yeah but just because I forgot I had upgraded to a 6” Barnett clutch cable. OEM cable is 8 inches
@@HER6GEARS nice!!
Whats the blue screwdriver u used at the end?
It was a torque screwdriver
@@HER6GEARS how is the clutch cable? Did it cause any problems being that tight
It should be fine with the stock cable. I had a 6” Barnett clutch cable and I forgot about it lol I have an 8” now
AVP
hey / yeah I see em / drill , got ya /
HOTNESS....
Should have just gone with the bobber haha
You shot that ! Great job ! Good looking indian .
How tall are you my girl is 5’6” and she looking more toward the scout bobber
I’m 5’7
That’s exciting! She’ll definitely flat foot it just fine
Thanks for the reply keep it up and enjoy riding
Thank you for helping video
next week, I'm going to install the dean speed handelbar 8inch
So, Actually I'm worried about my clutch cable length... like you
How did you solve this problem
plus, you're always beautiful bb!!
Np :) So in this video I had the 6in Barnett Clutch cable that I had upgraded (I forgot it was 6in) I sent it back and got the 8in Barnett clutch cable and solved the problem. The stock clutch cable is 8in so you should be good!
@@HER6GEARS last question
Your bobber is 2018?
2019
I bought an 8-inch deean speed handlebar
And now I'm going to buy Clutch Cable Black Indian Scout by Barnett!
But there are many options about Barnett cable length ( plus 6", plus8", plus10")
So, for installation of 8inch deen speed handlebar, did you buy Barnett cable plus 8" ? or plus 10"?
I absolutely love my Barnett clutch cable. I have the 8” cable
I love u :D
Promo-SM 😚
I checked their website n they dont have 8inch they have 10inch n up 🙁

@@HER6GEARSThank you! Would you be replacing your clutch cable since its tight? If yes what lenght
The reason my clutch cable was tight is because I forgot I upgraded my clutch cable to a 6” Barnett one. I ended up sending it back and got an 8” from Barnett as well. The oem clutch cable is 8” so you’ll be fine as long as you stay under 8” for handlebars
@@HER6GEARS O ok ok Thanks 👍
What’s your name?))) I’m from Russia. I also bought an Indian. Let's get acquainted))
Te quedo bien
