Can anyone reading please pray for me? I've been having a constant problem in my life that seems to be a mixture of spiritual warfare and narcissistic abuse combined together. This started happening after I returned to Jesus after having backslidden and gotten involved in the occult. Don't really know how to explain what is happening to me but please pray for my protection and that it would stop. Thank you.

There is something that has brought about curiosity in me concerning Job, why did God allow satan to destroy the family of Job, to take their lives to prove a point that Job was loyal and righteous? Why did God even talk to satan to do harm to Job? satan was kicked out of heaven, why was he even allowed to appear before God to bring evil against God’s child of God Job?
Why did God allow you to be saved? How much better than Satan were we before being born again? We deserved the same hell as Satan, but we were granted mercy... think about it. God’s mercy stretches into eternity to the power of eternity, we truly do not understand his loving kindness and his intentions for humanity. We are just an atom in Christ’s body, so we have no right to question him. God bless, may Christ in all his glory return quickly. Hasten his coming for our sake, do his will and sin not.
Pastor John, this question has been on my mind “is it a coincidence that the number 6 happened to be verse 6 chapter 6 when it comes to refer to Satan? Even in this sermon you referred at least “6” 3 times.”
At the same time when referring to Jesus or God says it’s in either verse 7 or 8 in whichever book or chapters and verses in the Bible was mentioned. It simply happens too often to be a coincidence:). Maybe numbers are what I’m good at they draw my attention…
Remember the chapters and verses and their numbers aren't in the original transcripts of Scipture and were added in by men much later on for convenience of reading and whatnot. So I wouldn't read much into them like that no.

John, MacArthur is such a wonderful, great teacher and preacher, but I’m amazed at how in this sermon that has nothing to do with Calvinism or a Arminianism He has to insert to try to make his point on Arminianism. If anything this teaching on Job would support more Arminianism than Calvinism because Job is called a righteous man. although I do not agree or believe that either one is correct biblically. Because both only use select scriptures to promote their doctrine while ignoring the scriptures that go against their doctrine.
So can I understand the story of Job a little bit more. God allowed Joes children and servants to be murdered and he didn’t intervene. If that to encourage the murder of those people and didn’t intervene. It’s one aspect of the Bible I’ve never understood God proved himself to be pretty horrible in this instance just allowing Satan to do is he pleased with those people including butchering them by the sword and this is the love of God? We’re supposed to worship?
Since you admit to not be able to understand Job's story, why do you judge God to be "pretty horrible" with your limited understanding of it? You don't know the backstory of Job's kids, Job's servants, Job's wife. God killed more people in history than anything/anyone at one point even destroying the earth with a flood, sparing only 8 people in this planet. God even killed Israelites by the thousands when they worshiped other gods. Why did God kill them? Man's SIN & EVIL. God, in His HOLINESS, CANNOT CO-EXIST WITH EVIL. The mere fact that God gives time for people to repent from sin, demonstrate His goodness. Judgement is inevitable, whether people deserve it or not. You're not perfect enough to judge God who is perfect. God is perfect enough to judge you, me & everyone else. God is so "horrible" He allows you to think freely of Him, lets you breathe the air He created, keeps your blood & your organs living, your heart beating, lets you eat the food He created, made other humans alive who love & care about you... and even let you exist to enjoy everything GOOD in this world that God made. Yet, you look for any reason in order to not worship the Creator who made everything in the universe & beyond space and time. What have YOU ever done for God to question why He should be worshiped, by your standards? God DESERVES to be worshiped, if there is no other reason than that. Him loving his unworthy, rebellious, stupid & fallen Human creations is just a reflection of God's superiority over us. Give me a good reason why I should rebel against God and not worship Him? Humans kill other humans all the time. Why should I hold humans in greater regard than God? This is His world, His planet, His rules. He made everything. Man created nothing but depends on everything God created for the things we make for ourselves. It is man that like to pretend we're "gods" of it & feel like we own & rule it.

There is something that has brought about curiosity in me concerning Job, why did God allow satan to destroy the family of Job, to take their lives to prove a point that Job was loyal and righteous? Why did God even talk to satan to do harm to Job? satan was kicked out of heaven, why was he even allowed to appear before God to bring evil against God’s child of God Job?
Why did God even allow you to doubt His Sovereignty?
Why did God allow you to be saved? How much better than Satan were we before being born again? We deserved the same hell as Satan, but we were granted mercy... think about it. God’s mercy stretches into eternity to the power of eternity, we truly do not understand his loving kindness and his intentions for humanity. We are just an atom in Christ’s body, so we have no right to question him.

Pastor John, this question has been on my mind “is it a coincidence that the number 6 happened to be verse 6 chapter 6 when it comes to refer to Satan? Even in this sermon you referred at least “6” 3 times.”
At the same time when referring to Jesus or God says it’s in either verse 7 or 8 in whichever book or chapters and verses in the Bible was mentioned. It simply happens too often to be a coincidence:). Maybe numbers are what I’m good at they draw my attention…
Remember the chapters and verses and their numbers aren't in the original transcripts of Scipture and were added in by men much later on for convenience of reading and whatnot. So I wouldn't read much into them like that no.

John, MacArthur is such a wonderful, great teacher and preacher, but I’m amazed at how in this sermon that has nothing to do with Calvinism or a Arminianism He has to insert to try to make his point on Arminianism. If anything this teaching on Job would support more Arminianism than Calvinism because Job is called a righteous man. although I do not agree or believe that either one is correct biblically. Because both only use select scriptures to promote their doctrine while ignoring the scriptures that go against their doctrine.
So can I understand the story of Job a little bit more. God allowed Joes children and servants to be murdered and he didn’t intervene. If that to encourage the murder of those people and didn’t intervene. It’s one aspect of the Bible I’ve never understood God proved himself to be pretty horrible in this instance just allowing Satan to do is he pleased with those people including butchering them by the sword and this is the love of God? We’re supposed to worship?
Since you admit to not be able to understand Job's story, why do you judge God to be "pretty horrible" with your limited understanding of it? You don't know the backstory of Job's kids, Job's servants, Job's wife. God killed more people in history than anything/anyone at one point even destroying the earth with a flood, sparing only 8 people in this planet. God even killed Israelites by the thousands when they worshiped other gods. Why did God kill them? Man's SIN & EVIL. God, in His HOLINESS, CANNOT CO-EXIST WITH EVIL. God is so "horrible" He allows you to think freely of Him, lets you breathe the air He created, keeps your blood & your organs living, your heart beating, lets you eat the food He created, made other humans alive who love & care about you... and even let you exist to enjoy everything GOOD in this world that God made. Yet, you look for any reason in order to not worship the Creator who made everything in the universe & beyond space and time. What have YOU ever done for God to question why He should be worshiped, by your standards? God DESERVES to be worshiped, if there is no other reason than that. Him loving his unworthy, rebellious, stupid & fallen Human creations is just a reflection of God's superiority over us. Give me a good reason why I should rebel against God and not worship Him? Humans kill other humans all the time. Why should I hold humans in greater regard than God? This is His world, His planet, His rules. He made everything. Man created nothing but depends on everything God created for the things we make for ourselves. It is man that like to pretend we're "gods" of it & feel like we own & rule it.

Arminians fail to give full glory to God and fail to worship Him as He truly is. Scripture explains that God is Sovereign and dictates the end from the beginning. He ordains evil for the purpose of good. Allows Sin for a time, but punishes it in the end for He is Holy.
God is doing everything for His glory and He does not need some puny human, created mind, to "defend" His actions. Amen.
