I'm no Catholic, but I am a Christian. On paper, I probably line up more with MacArthur than a Catholic. But I don't know how he can act as though he cares about those who don't know the gospel and will be in hell while still espousing Calvinism that says it's all predetermined. It is logically inconsistent. He seems like he delights in hell.

it seems that when the Roman empire fell and the roman catholic church really started gaining strength about 700AD is when the break offs started happening including Islam, which started as a branch of Christianity but denied the trinity. Both the RCC and Islam developed as a remake and copy of the Jewish priesthood. Islam incorporated arabic pagan rituals and the RCC incorpaorated the roman pagan rituals.

Being Christian isnt about what the church does or what the church says. Its about what christ did and what the scripture says. To know and understand those things, you need to know and understand the scripture. Read the Bible for yourself. Aak for the spirits discernment and use scripture itself to verify and test what you read to itself. Put christ first, not the church or traditions, and you will find truth and salvation. John 3:16. I simply challenge any and all to compare the words and examples of catholics and the words and examples of the pharisees in the NT. Who did Christ criticize? And why did they get Christ's criticisms? Christ alone. The church is his people. The saints are all born agian beleivers. The way, the truth and the life is ONLY thru Him. Reading the Bible on your own is not, by default, self interpretation. Reading the Bible with the discernment of the spirit and using all scripture to compare and measure against guides ones understanding in truth, not personal interpretation. Study church history.
