Pride is the best movie I have seen so far. The characters are just so loveable and the fact that it's based of real events makes it even more touching.

Anyone who has not seen Freier Fall / Free Fall NEEDS TO SEE IT NOW.
Only "Holding The Man" made me depress for a long time. Also this is based on true love story of Timothy Conigrave and John Caleo. Simply the best.

MAURICE, TOP 5.
Maurice is not that great... Hugh Grant just gnaws the script ...
I just recently watched maurice and it was amazing man!!
OMG! I literally live in the Czech Republic and I had no idea that we have a successful LGBT movie here. Never heard of that. Thank you! :D
Shelter is a terrific film, underrated gem that one, ditto Gods Own Country, some people may need subtitles but its fantastic, so moving. And of course the mainstream game changers Brokeback and lately Love Simon...over all, really good list, put together with care and intelligence
The Way He Looks

Making Love was one of my favorite movies when it came out in 1982, I remember crying in the theatre when it was over. Now it is mostly unwatchable but it was quite a daring film when it came out back then.
OMG..loved this list of LGBT films from around the world..I agree at Brokeback Mountain..tnx to include the entry from the Philippines..😍
I love this list! I was disappointed not to see "Save Me" on here, however. Amazing film.
What about movies like "Bad education" directed by Pedro Almodovar or "The ignorant fairies" and "Facing Windows", both directed by Ferzan Ozpetek?
You included some of my favorite movies, hands down. A great list. ❤
My fave is Brokeback Mountain....what a heartbreaking film. But I doubt anyone noticed early on, "This Special Friendship..." A French movie that was very daring for when it was released, in 1964. That movie is also very powerful and equally heartbreaking. Because it came out in 1964 and being the oldest film shown here, I really believe it should be much higher on this list!!! The courage of the film maker should count for something.....
You can see so many Hollywood stars in that list. I'm kinda proud🙀
Really a great list. A couple more movies for consideration: The Lost Language of Cranes from 1991 and Les Roseaux sauvages from 1994 which won a César for Best Picture in France.
C.R.A.Z.Y. (2005) Canada - Came out the same year as Brokeback Mountain so everyone missed it - should be on list - has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
I have seen it and it was good but bbm is a gem 😁
yeah totally agree, it made me cry when he finally hug his father at the last part
Wow, I didn't know we had any LGBTQ+ related movie.
And we're in the top 100?

It’s my favorite movie of all time. Gave me hope

Really fantastic list. Not necessarily the order I would have put them in, but they're all there. Some standouts: My Own Private Idaho, Handsome Devil, The King and the Clown, the Man Who Loved Yngve... Oh, who am I kidding, they're all incredible.
Props to you for getting my all time favorites in the list: “Maurice”, “Boys in the Band (1970)”, “Beautiful Thing” and “Brokeback Mountain”

I can't get over of Brokeback mountain, Call me by your name, Zero and Jude (Hit The Floor), Free fall, I am Jonas, Memories of Teenager, Free fall. All of these are heart wrenching but sweet & brave at the same time. Skam (ISAK & EVEN) is a remedy after being heartbroken.

Torch song trilogy, the movie that defined my life, the movie of my generation that face all the hard questions, and the much sought after answers.
Yes, very good, very important movie, glad it was in a video store when I was 17. I recently rewatched it. It stands up.
Hawaii by Marco Berger is such a beautiful film. Definitely deserves top 10

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Love, Simon is number 6!!! I was worried for 10 minutes and 17 seconds.
Thank you! Fortunately the list will go on! Let's not forget about Tom of Finland (2017) Finland.

*"A PRAYER FOR BOBBY" SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE !*
_you can only cry when you watch this movie, so many truths revealed about the difficulties of being different_
Ikr! I am so shocked to see it at 7th place. It should be no. 1
*AGREE*
i have never saw the movie A PRAYER FOR BOBBY
*then go watch it right now, you will understand why i said this*
I used to watch it all the time, there was me crying another whole new ocean.
Gods own country deserves to be number one.
Gordy Gibson agree with you❤
Yas thank God someone else agrees
that good really...
Yes. It surely deserves the top spot. What a movie! ❤
Yes.
Call me by your name 💕Free Fall💕 Shelter💕 God's own Country 💕 i love this movies🔥
Good list
I am shocked "Monster Pies" should be in this list by far one of the most emotional movies out there
There’s also Yves Saint Laurent ( I know it’s a biography but the relation between Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berger + excellent actors in the movie : 👌🏻 ) a movie everyone should see
Maurice is masterpieces all them from the book, movie and scores! When I first time watch the movie till ending, finally I accept the same sexuality love when I wanted Maurice and Clive together since their are first love instead of alec coming into Maurice life, but Clive married a woman and Maurice and Alec are together in the end...
Yes! And the most lovely and impress thing about it (at least for me) is the final.
Not every author would have preferred a happy ending than a realistic one. That is the enchanted of it.
I'm not really quite sure, but my top 5 would be:
1. Brokeback Mountain
2. God's Own Country
3. Call me by your name
4. Love of Siam
5. Esteros
At least those are what I remember. 😂
Is it normal that I just come from Bohemian Rhapsody (film) and now I'm searching for this???
Ps. To 1. byl český film :D
Well done! Quite a comprehensive selection - makes me rather proud of the work that's been done in a relatively short movie history. One glaring omission: "Whole New Thing" 2006
but the best is ???????????????, just a question of love !
'Stranger By the Lake' also better than most of these.
I love the list, but it's not how I would have ranked them. Nonetheless, I'm happy to see Prayers for Bobby among the top 10.
I feel like Hidden Kisses and Boys ( Jongens ) deserve a better ranking tho but great list man !
A bit disappointed by the clips you chose
Karna as does Center of my world
Louis Hoffman did wonderful acting in Centre of My World. Many of the other players in that film did too.
“A very english scandal” is a good one too, and uHHhHhh its got Hugh Grant in so I mean
Brokeback mountain is the best movie ever and nobody will convince me any other way 🥰
Agree with u
Brideshead Revisited (the television mini-series), though not a proper 2+ hour movie, it deserves to have a huge honorable mention.
Thats intressting...i have 92 of them in VHS or DVD! I have many more but not on this list!
WienerVL wow..your my friend now Lol
Maybe you should have compiled this list, chances are you could make a better one, not so US centric.
My favorites not listed:Tales of a City,David's Birthday,Priscilla Queen of the Dessert Man in the Orange Shirt
\
yes, lots of people loved Priscilla Queen of the Dessert (although I didnt care for it)
My favorite are Brokeback mountain and holding the man, those movies are making me so emotional ;-;
All tym favs... Cry every time 😢
I have seen lots and i would say Hawaii (2013), Just Friends (2018) and The Way He Looks (2014) are the ones that really stuck with me. A Single Man (2009) and Free Fall (2013) are also very good.
Just have to watch it again to take some more of it in.
Love, Simon=❤
Call Me By Your Name , LOVE IT , thx :)
Guys please watch "Mario" ...Absolutely lovely 💓
Marlon Santos ❤️❤️❤️Mario
Depressing😭💔 I was so heartbroken dude.
Breakfast on Pluto. Cillian Murphy was outstanding in his representation of a transwoman.
yes but just a question of love best !
Hawaii is my fav ❤️
Palm Zhou me too!
Why "In and Out" is not here???The Adventures of Priscilla Queen og the desert" or To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Wating for women (e.g. Blue is the warmest color), trans (Transamerica)
Holding the man is the best for me
Too sad for Humanity
Like Free fall
Sad ending...
Yes
I have "Little Ashes", "Brokeback Mountain", "Love, Simon" and "No night is too long". "No night is too long" is not here. Unfortunately. All are very good movies. With "Love, Simon" you could have done a nice movie scene with Parter. As a series, I find Shadowhunters Malec super.
Hidden Away...such a cute but effective film.
yeahhhhh
Hawai, Esteros, God's own country, Orpheus song. That's all the film i have seen. All of them are great. 😙
Also, you should include the German "Free Fall" / Freier Fall
I think so. Brokeback mountain is the best movie. I love it. I was cry after the end.
