  • This is my first recorded TO/GA takeoff, and features an amazing thrust reduction, it's the best takeoff I've recorded. Enjoy!

    Almost sounds like the 737NG CFMs with this takeoff thrust

      @pkteamfilms8262 different sub variants however, that is why the sound is different on each.

      Not a long distance, just a slow speed. We had to warm up the engines. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent video!
    I love the early morning dew running across the window at the beginning of the takeoff roll.
    And the buzz of the fan blades.
    How do you know it was TOGA thrust and not reduced “flex” thrust? (at my airline, first flight of the day is always full TOGA thrust, but I wasn’t sure if that was the same at American)

      Hi, thanks for the comment. This flight was actually at 8:30pm, delayed a couple hours. The water you see is rain from a slight rainfall a few minutes before I recorded the video. I confirmed with the pilots that this was indeed a TO/GA takeoff as we were heavy and the runway was barely 7,000 feet, aka a very short runway for an A321 to takeoff. Also, on these CFMs, TO/GA thrust is tuned to an E or higher musically, and I confirmed that also. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

      @@inflight_aviation Nice! Higher than E, huh? I’m gonna start paying closer attention to the actual Hertz; break out my guitar tuner on every flight…
      I hear that the A321 is somewhat under-powered, so I’m not surprised that they needed full rated thrust on a 7000 foot runway.

      @inflight_aviation  Před 10 měsíci +2

      @@apgardude the CFM 321 is somewhat underpowered, but completely safe. And yeah, I have perfect pitch so I’m able to musically tune the exact thrust of the aircraft on every airplane.

    I know the reduction of thrust is normal - I am scared so this freaks me out a bit haha but great video

      Yeah it’s normal, but I quite enjoy the sound. Don’t be worried at all. And thanks for watching, I really appreciate the support!
