Look up active devices PS4 paddles on Amazon it’s similar to the strike pack but has 4 paddles looks very interesting
they look cool but lowkey kinda expensive for such a small mic
Absolutely overpriced; even while on sale occasionally, but I will say it serves my purpose and I'd pay for it again.
Best sounding mode of all the tests straight out the box was "Broadcast Mode" on the wireless version. And "Noise Cancelling Mode" was better on the wired version.

Two things! 1:47 I have mine on my DT 770s and I ended up going through a few mounts because initially it didn't stick well until I cleaned the 770s with an alcohol pad. (Looking back this is solely my fault for not cleaning it off in the first place, even though the 770s were brand new. lol) 2:30 I've also clipped my cables together but plan on removing them tonight. I get why they're there and they're awesome if you plan to have the mic on 24/7, but if you don't want to have the ModMic attached when you're not using it, it kind of defeats the purpose. Even though I'd love to have the wireless version, I can't justify the $100 when the USB version sounds really good, in my opinion!
Excited as hell to see you guys covered a product I already had. Figured I'd share my thoughts and set-up I've had for a year.
Ranked/Competitive Setup on PS4:
-Antlion Modmic Wireless
-Headset: Sennheiser 58x Jubilee from Massdrop
-AMP/DAC: Mayflower ARC
-Controller: SCUF Vantage 1 (*pre-stick drfit update; been long-since updated to have no stick drift*)
So, that's what I use to put myself in nearly every Series/Split Predator(*old*)/Masters on Apex Legends and when I'm on Siege I push myself to Platinum every season I play on there. BINK2014 on PSN if any feels the need to verify for some reason.
I used to use some wireless Turtle Beach Elite 800's and before that some other Stealth TB headset that I forgot the exact name of. Don't get me wrong, I loved my old TB's and still have functional pairs, but I decided to take a step in a different direction for my sound-whoring needs and went with non-gaming-specific open-back wired headphones (*wires aren't as annoying as I feared aside from walking around*) running through a AMP/DAC.
Since I went with regular non-gaming oriented headphones, I needed a mic' and after hours of my usual research/reviews I naturally came to the Antlion Wireless Modmic to eliminate some more wires and have a decent amount of charge for a grinding session.
Pros:
-Modmic Wireless has some great sound quality compared to my old in-headphone mic' on the Elite 800 according to my buddies
-A fair amount of battery life for a game session with the ability to charge and play rather hassle-free
-never falls off the headset from normal/practical use
-easy to mute and see yourself muted
-easy set-up/reconfiguration
-quality materials/packagung
-easy to store
Cons:
-the mic' will occasionally; for me unpredictably, disconnect/unselect itself (*never while in use*) in the sound settings from time to time
-the rather overly bright flashing light never shuts off while plugged into the Playstation
-the price point; whether on sale or not, is too high, but the product lasts, is extremely solid all-around, and quite frankly I'd pay for it again as it serves my needs well without a hiccup
I feel my set-up is a little odd and out of the ordinary for my console grind on PSN; at least compared to most of my IRL/in-game friends, but it works and I wouldn't be able to communicate well without the overpriced yet damn solid Antlion Modmic Wireless.

I remember when the modmic was like 50$ and the sound quality is great for that price, but $80-$120? might as well get a yeti, Sampson or even an at2020...
The whole point of this mic is that the sound quality is so good that you don't need to buy a second "studio" mic for your stream audio. It works as both an in-game chat mic AND a great quality stream mic. Also it can turn a set of high-end studio quality headphones into a gaming headset.
@@Dan_Jams yeah I can see that, I actually kind of miss my old modmic because having a good quality mic on a boom arm does inconvenience your positioning of it or your mobility sometimes. part of your view can even be blocked sometimes!!
