This 1989 Jeep Comanche started it's life as a 2 wheel drive, 4 cylinder truck. It was bought brand new in Georgia. I purchased it off FB marketplace 3 years ago. It has been a learning curve fore sure. The Comanche has been a great platform to build a rock crawler and parts hauler. I drive it multiple times a week to work, it even has cold A/C! Any questions, please comment. Let me know what you think! Thanks for watching!!!

I just bought a Jeep Comanche to start my dream build. I am sure i will be back to this video to ask more questions! 🙂
That’s awesome! What are your plans so far with your Comanche build? I have a lot of comanche information and content on my Instagram @sixfeetunderfab if you are interested
@sixfeetunderfab i am thinking of doing a stroker. I want to do a true 4 link fron and triangulated 4 link rear on tons. Probably do a 97+ dash but keep the bench seat because its cool. Auto trans and probably a 231 transfer case, but if i get crazy i will get an atlas. I want to run 37's at least. I think i will keep the 112" wheelbase. Frame stiffeners front to rear for sure. And i need to pick a color to paint it. Any ideas/suggestions?
If you are planning on doing an atlas transfer case, I’d suggest ordering it now. Every thing sounds solid!
Beautiful Comanche! Love the build❤
Thanks!!
say what? 4 link is better than leaf springs. you going to get some poor boys giving you a hard time for say that 🤣😂 Nice MJ man!
haha the truth hurts! lol jk
Sickest Comanche on here! Next to mine. 😉

The Truck in Gray
😂😂😂
“Drunk uncle” 😂
Dont know if its been asked, but where did you get the orange/red decals? Im a lover of orange so Im gunna say that orange really POPs off the cement grey paint job. Nice build. I thought the trucks came with a frame.
I got them custom made from a local sign shop
and thanks!
whats the name of that electrical hub unit/lights module mounted to the dash? looks sweet
It is a 6 Gang switch panel on Amazon
Let's see the pitbike!
Haha it’s coming 😂
Are those coffin lids in the upper right kind of leaning on something under the stairs?
Yes, lol
How wide is that thing. We are planning on running one tons and I’m trying to figure what I Gotta do to get it to fit on my car trailer.
It’s a super duty axle so whatever the width is on that. I’ll have to measure it to get the exact width
Can I get some info on the 3rd foot on your shifter? Thanks
It’s teraflex brand hand throttle. They are amazing
Hows the dana 50 holding up? Im putting one in my TJ and keep getting told im an idiot.
I have not had any issues. I have beat in it fairly hard and I have really enjoyed the high clearance diff chop. I also like to go against what people on the internet say. A lot of those people have never even seen a dana 50 in person lol.
What do you have going on for them Breaks on that piglet.?
I’m running super duty brakes on the front, and disc brake conversion on the rear 14 bolt.
How is the aftermarket support for Dana 50?
Parts are out there, just not as many options.
Did you have to use the 96 wire harness?
Yes, I used the wiring harness from the Cherokee
Do you rub a bunch at full flex?
It used to rub a lot before I did bump stops. Now it only rubs a little
Awesome rig! What paint did you use?
rust oleum! Can't beat it lol
Awesome! I’m looking to paint mine. Was that just regular ole rust oleum or an automotive?
Regular hardware store rust oleum
What canvas top
Is that ?
It’s a Softopper
What frame stiffners you use?
T-M Fab. They are great
@@sixfeetunderfab did you do round or square circles?
I did round. It welded better for me
Hey man tbh how do you afford all that you do?
I have a full time job and I work all hours of the nights and weekends working on peoples jeeps and offroad rigs.
@@sixfeetunderfab that’s cool. I guess I’m not working enough, darn Biden and trump spoiled me with the stimulus checks now I don’t like o work.
