I heard this on accident via Spotify and I cannot get enough. Produced but raw, engaging chorus, great Instrumentation? Fantastic.
Listening to this I'm still positive that the new album will be the album of the year for me🤘
It's a toss up between this album and Polyphia's new album for me. I kind of know what to expect with this but who knows with Polyphia's upcoming release.

@@pendragon665 Not a comparison, just stating that I wasn't sure which album I would like more but it's probably going to be Brymirs.
Interesting mix of styles. It's like a Chimaira-style verse section with a power metal chorus.
Especially the "slow" snare drum is rather unusual.
@@MetalGamer666 Usually referred to as "half-time". Depending on the genre, it's quite common if you listen for it.

this is their best album imo, definitely give it a chance. Wings of Fire may have had some better songs but overall I think this is stronger.

These guys blow Armon Amarth away. Wings of Fire is definitely their best album. Star portal is an absolute metal masterpiece. Hope to see them live one day.

When a Pagan Metal Band becomes a core band ^^
Never thought of them as a pagan metal band actually.. to me it's melodeath with some variations and quite a unique sound.
@@windrider6124 Their first album is straight up folk metal! It pretty much was just an Ensiferum clone, loved it but i love how they evolved and crafted their own sound.
@@eliisaac some of the songs has folkish elements but overall I consider the debut like a epic sounding symphonic melodeath album.
It's more power metal with an In Flames/Ensiferum melodeath sound. There wasn't any metalcore to be found here

I never heard of this band until two weeks ago, spend a lot of time listening to their stuff, but prefer "Landfall" or "Seeds Of Downfall", still a great band n nice signing of Napalm records

It was year 2022 and yet people still complained about a breakdown and a couple metalcore riffs... there's even a Dark Funeral cover on the album so you can feel trve and all again

@@finnofaman4557 Stand outs for me were Herald Of Aegir, Landfall, and Borderland. I would say it is a really good album. Only the second track was ever so slightly weak compared to the rest of the tracks. The rest is up to personal preference but it's at the very least well composed and produced.

Wow yeah first two singles were great, this one is WAY off, agreed with the core comments. This doesn’t at all fit in with the previous style of the two singles.
