The bassist here about the gear I used in this video: this instrument played on the video is actually a stand-in; it's not my own bass. My own basses were too red-tinted to be used in the video due to the colour correction designed for the video... We wanted to highlight the red tones in the chains etc. so if I'd played a red-tinted bass then it would have looked really weird. Basically the film-crew looked at my instruments and were like "Nah, too red; use this bass instead". I have no idea what model or manufacturer that one is; never really took a good look. 😄

Wowww what a gem of a band. Melodeath is and always will be my go to metal. Never heard of them which surprised me. Went to their Spotify and listened to the album “Wings Of Fire” twice while working late for a client. That record is filled to the brim with killer songs. Had a couple of moments that really grabbed me away from work to headbang and to check the song title 🤟🏼🥳 its been a while a band grabbed me like that.

I discovered Brymir shortly after Wings of Fire came out. Been hooked ever since. Blew me away to find out that they are pretty unknown as I feel this band has it all. That might be about to change though. Signing on to Napalm Records is big. Been tracking comments under the official music video and a lot of people had never heard of Brymir before but clicked just because Napalm Records posted the vid.

Omg Brymir, my people! Yes, please continue with Brymir reactions, they have many good songs! Ok, you will probably not see this comment, but what a mindfuck of a YT-algorithm, this time a lovely one. I dunno if anyone is interested in me rambling, but I want to, so. I have retired from the metal scene mostly now, but went to Tuska festival in Helsinki on a regular in the old days, when it was in a park. Viktor saved me from a crazy moshpit once there. I somehow stumbled upon your reactions to the gen-z kids reactions (yes, do more!) and checked those out. Then it suggested a Turmion Kätilöt reaction, had to see that, because it is such good driving music, that I still today sometimes put it on. Then the algorithm gave me this Brymir reaction, it made me so happy! They deserve success, I've seen them working a long time since the beginning. Such talented musicians and great people. Another group of talented musicians from Finland is a band named IA (shamanic, but definitely(?) melodic in my mind). You can thank me later that I introduced you this early on. 😅You find them on Spotify (more songs) and on CZcams "IA legions". Both Brymir and IA are just a blast to see live! 🤘🏻Shout out to both!

It is the Finnish melancholy underneath all the awesomeness. I haven't met that certain feeling with any other country's music. Brymir is my favourite band, I hope they finally get the attention they deserve. I might travel to finland to see them live again. Btw, should I change my youtube name so you know who I am? I'm Jan_s998 from the twitch stream XD

Had absolutely no clue who they were and then they were opener for Finntroll and played this song live. Instant metal love!
Edit: they did the choir live, too, and sang all together.

That's so funny, I found them literally today after I apparently randomly put them in my melo death playlist and really enjoyed it. It came up in shuffle and if I had heard it before, this was the time I really took notice of them.
This one I actually didn't enjoy as much. The chorus was a bit too big and too over the top for me. Pretty much everything else I enjoyed. So could mean I could still enjoy this album when it comes out, we'll see. Thank you for getting me excited about that album anyways

Album of the year for me, by far! Love every single second of it.
Check out 'Ascension' by Paladin. Another hella underrated melodeath (mixed with power metal) album. Very catchy, with brilliantly tasteful solos, etc. I think you'll dig it!

Just catching up with the videos after vacation. If you love Melo Death you should definetely try Parasite Inc. They're a German Melo Death band and will be releasing their next album on August 19th. I'd recommend the video Cyan Night Dreams for a reaction, it's not your stereotypical serious Melo Death but a bit more playful.

I'd love for you to react to Soulmass. The thing is, they're very much an indie band. Their stuff is only on Bandcamp, I think there are only 2 members right now (drummer and guitarist/bassist/singer), and they've got no music videos at all, not even lyric videos. They're still very much in the crowd-funding stage.
    However.
If you're familiar with the Dark Souls/Demon's Souls games, then these guys are one of the three Souls-themed bands I know about (the other two being Firelink and Stormruler). Soulmass are the best, in my personal opinion. Very heavy death metal, their music is absolutely fantastic and they deserve so much recognition. Their two full-length albums as of yet are *In Fate's Thralldom* (which has been remastered) and *The Weakness of Virtue*. They recently released a Final Fantasy themed EP called *Eidolon*, the announcement post of which also confirmed that they're working on a Bloodborne-themed album.
If they ever do a music video, I vehemently hope and pray to the Old Gods that they get pushed high up on your list, because they are such an amazing band. Recommended songs are: Chronicles of the Abysswalker (lyrically about Artorias the Abysswalker), Vicissitudinous Entrance to the Painted World (Painted World of Ariamis), Spear and Hammer (Ornstein and Smough), A Once Proud Knight (Seigmeyer of Catarina), and To Paint a New World (Painted World of Ariandel).
