- Team Ducati's Greg Tracy's race up Pikes Peak in under 10:00 minutes. The 10:00 mark was only beat last year by Monster Tajima in his unlimited car. Greg and Carlin Dunne battled for top time in the motorcycle class.

Thanks for watching it, I really appreciate it. Pikes Peak is such an amazing race. 2012 was probably my last year racing motorcycles there. I broke my back and had a really bad concussion the week before this run was filmed, gave it my all! Not sure I want to push it like that on a bike there again. I am working on racing a car there in 2013! Have a great day!!
have you done any other motorcycle racing since then Greg?
I think the sit up style bikes are best for this type of race. Because there are 156 turns and there is no sighting lap, committing to your front wheel on a superbike is tricky. The multistrada or hyper work well in this environment because you can make adjustments quicker when you all of a sudden lose the rear or front tire. We will see I am sure of that. To be honest the amount of commitment needed to go the speeds we did is pretty over the top. Thanks for the comment, all the best. GT
Hey Greg, killer run. What type of tires are you using by chance? Saw in previous videos you are using tire warmers, are those slicks or DOT race rubber. Keep up the good work CHEERS and Congrats.
Insane stuff man!
If they let sport bikes enter then they would win.
Has to be the best run up there, I've said before this inspired me to go buy one, after kidney cancer. I bought it and looked at it in my dining room for 6mths, whilst recovering.. 4yrs on still here. cheers Greg Tracy, I appreciated the Face book message you sent me, Top Man..
Yes. That IS fast. Thanks for the ride!
Look at your videos man, you are bombing those hills on your little honda!
Ethan Dang
that's a completely different story from this here though
you? here? lol
Haha, I know right? :)
That poor bike had to carry his massive balls all the way up that mountain
nothing but respect doing Pikes on 2 wheels, amazing stuff
I like how you put it about the risk "Possibly not as much as some might have and more than others". Incredible riding, I am glad to hear that you made it through in one piece and are still getting after it!
Greg, you rock! Thanks for taking us along on that blistering ride. I'll never see the Pikes Peak highway the same!!!
So great and so fun to watch. Amazing sound on that Multi, cant wait to come watch you repeat this year!
Wow!!....that was 10 minutes of spastic, frenzied, adrenaline filled action. two thumbs up!
Absolutely Awesome! I was really hoping you'd post this! You have nerves of steel!
I love watching this with my morning coffee. Starts the day just right
I am happy people have had the chance to see what the run up looks like. Funny it has always been such a passion for me and I really enjoy that my fellow Ducatista get to ride along. Thanks for taking the time to say hello.
Thanks Eddie, You are going to love that motorcycle!!!! Tell Vince thanks from me for sending you to this clip. I have really enjoyed this race, put my heart and soul into it for 16 years. Hope to see ya on the track or trail one of these days.
Sound!!! That's exactly why I've bought mine. I love my mts. I wish to see you do it again for 2013. Congratulation Greg.
Simply Amazing!! Thx for letting us watch a work of art!!
If you never been there you could not understand how brave this ride was,it was epic.
Hats off to you Sir, when I drove up, very slowly I might add, I couldn't breath too well due to the elevation ,I reckon you would have been huffing and puffing a bit too !!
Love your work, love to see a clip of you at the Beartooth Pass !
Classic!!! Thanks for that. I feel pretty lucky to have pushed it all these years up there! Best of luck to you.
Great riding and amazing landscapes .
Thanks for the vid .
Thanks so much. My favorite time is very early am practice and the sun is coming up below you which casts a perfect shadow against the cliff of the bike. All the best.
It may have been an older video. This year the course was for the first time, paved to the top. I appreciate you taking time to watch it. I also checked out your youtube page and loved the Macau video you have up,
Thank you!! The torque on the multistrada is pretty unbelievable! One of the things I love about the bike for sure.
That was so smooth love that sound. that's one great machine.
Great run. Thanks for posting. Good Luck next month!
Enjoyed chatting with you guys as well. Keep in touch, what a cool place Pikes Peak is!!
You're unbelievably awesome dude, keep up the amazing work from a motoring enthusiast! :D
Simply breath-taking! The bends are so similar and landmarks/braking points so few, it must be a nightmare to try and learn. Well done to all who take part.
+Peter Kelly i don't understand those spectators. came all the way to pikes peak location and see barely one blink of second motorcycle passing by...... what a waste of time and boring.
Thanks for that!! Its a crazy race. Raced up it yesterday in the rain, made for an interesting race.
Thanks, I want to see it live someday, mad respect for the TT boys!
Thanks, I appreciate that! I love that people get to see the run. Pikes Peak is a pretty special place.
Wow that launch was awesome! Thanks for this video!
Greg, met you this year at the first turn on the hill right before the start line right after the Puegot car went. Appreciated you chatting with us, really cool to meet you and will cheer you on in the future too!
Still loving this and remembering the event with the Ducati group
That is a super solid run!!! Just remember to give the Mountain respect like your surfing the biggest wave on the planet. If it wants the Mountain can bite you. Hope to see you there this year!!!
killer ride man! a couple of times i felt my stomach drop watching ride near the drop offs and almost eating hay bales.. crazy skill
I've driven up Pikes Peek before.. To see it done at those speeds in this vid is amazing!! Wow!
My God man. I live in the mountains in SoCal and ride sportbikes, a superduke 1290r and a Ducati Pikes Peak. I thought I was pretty spiffy. Turns out, not so much. This video is inspiring, frightening, nerve wrenching and well... frightening. Holy Hell man, good stuff. Wow.
Bravo Greg pour les images incroyables !
Congratulations for incredible pictures !
Quel talent !
What a skill !
I still remember that start. Game face was on and going for it. Great ride Greg.
hope you're running this year, can't wait to see this first hand

That was a great! Thanks!
Maaan this crazy! You are awesome!
my neighbor had a rare Ducati. 1972 400cc single piston. One of two still in existence of that model back in 1979. He popped wheelies with it all the time.
this was so tense! great run TT stuff right there
What an AWESOME run.
Thanks for posting this. You guys were all great. Thanks for taking the time to edit and upload. Should be the MultiStrada & HyperStrada's domain. Where's DNA or the Corse gents when you need them ?
Thank you! All the best!!
Great ride Greg! Awesome!!
Thank you!! I still get nervous when I pass that part of the course!
Thank you Greg. I hope the same to you and your family. And I hope to see you during the PP 2013 with Ducati.
Savage man, savage! Love the roar of that duke. Big moment at 9.25 holy vertical drop batman lol! Awesome dude.
DUKES are K.T.M.s.....This is a DUCATI.
Absolutely insane riding
I live in the springs and regularly rode up pikes on a 2001 sv650 until last month, when i bought a 2014 multistrada 1200
A little humbling the way this video puts into context what that bike *could* do with the right rider on board. We'll see how I do when the snow clears off in a few weeks
Freaking awesome! Good riding! Great sound!
Did this at normal speed on 8/4 with a group and we saw your bike at the top. It was really cool, had no idea it was going to go on to do this!
i like how you did a little grass/flower landscaping with your flyscreen at 1:35. i salute you!
wow! now that looks like some fun. good stuff. i hope to have a run myself one day.
They do handle quite well, fun to slide around for sure.. Thanks!
Nice! Very tidy run!! Im a FAN!
Bike sounds amazing!! So exhilarating just watching this!!
That´s a sharp, sharp driving. Thank you for raising my adrenalin, :)
You used literally all the inches of the road, never seen that!
Thanks for the ride! Wow.
love the ride, can I please ask you how you corner the multistrada foot out supermoto style, knee down or ??
cheers, Barry
Amazing video! Well done Greg, you are one hell of a rider. It seems I under estimated the Mulit's handling as well.
Hey thanks for the post. I am honored! If you can make a ride across AFG I think I would be in. Keep up the solid work over there, be safe and look me up when you get back and all meet ya for a ride somewhere. You can always get a hold of me on, my life at speed
thanks again, Greg
getting that lean on, great video, great exhaust sound 👍
It is an amazing road, I have had several of those moments there over the years!;]
Video is amazing , you Greg unbelievable rider. Keep what you doing, ride safe and please do visit Europe . You making all ducatisti proud. Well done.
i drove a car up Pikes Peak a last year and was freaked out... HOLY SHIT YOU HAVE SOME BALLS! there was once or twice i thought you going off the side of the mountain... i have one word for this... AMAZING!
Great riding Greg. You had the gearing set up perfectly on your bike - did you keep the standard internals?
great ride, great video...
Very cool!!! Yes the Ducs just keep stepping up their game!! Enjoy yours!!
would love to see you there Randy! Thanks!!!
Such a solid run! I'm hoping to break 11 minutes in the 450 class this year. This past year as a rookie I ran an 11:40 with a crash and finished with my bars pointing 25 degrees to the right. It was disappointing to finish knowing I didn't put down my best run, but I counted my blessing for even finishing after a crash, let alone in the top 10. Hope to see you there this year, either on a bike or in a car!
nice vid. great driving. respect from germany
Thank you for the reply Mr. Tracy. That is really nice of you. Wishing you all the best!
Great videos!
Really, really amazing run :) ... Respect and compliments!
May I ask you something more about the bike? What kind of preparations did you do on it? I'm really curious about suspensions tweaks, and motor as well :). Thank you very very much Greg!
Very compliments, best lap!
At the start of the race I noticed you were balls out, full of speed confident and looked so fast. But at the last two min of the hill you could see that fatigue and second guessing was setting in, and I started getting worried thinking that you were getting a lil outta control. @ 9:08 coming out of that turn is when I think more so than anything. Great Run, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Much respect Greg!
Insane vid and skills.
Wauww, im a starting motorcycle driver ( ducati 748S) and i hope i can steer like this in the future!! Amazing job! Grtz. from Holland
Now that is a big statement and very much appreciated. The TT boys get it done in a big way. GT
I must say nice cam setup!! In my opinion all motorcycle races should´ve a camera setup like this, imagine watch an isle of man lap with a Helmet camera like this one, or maybe a lap on a Motogp Machine. Thx Greg, your video just made me have more respect for your skill and courage.
Book marked and on auto repeat. See ya up there. Looking forward to checking out that electro unit too.
Holy crap! So, if you ever feel like acing another mountain, Cedar Crest here in New Mexico is a pretty awesome little hill.
