abandoned urbandoned derelict urbex uk england mansion manor house dated old architecture gothic neo walkthrough video
Hi Urbandoned. I live locally to this beautiful building and have been lucky enough to explore it a few times myself. I have some information about it that you may not have known. Basically the last owner was this old guy who collected art and had a vast collection. Anyway, sadly one day some men broke into the house, tied him to a chair, battered him, tortured him etc and stole his priceless art collection. It happened in the worst decayed room on the ground floor (if you are taking the main entrance as the big porched one, then it is the furthest room in the far right corner) it is really sad what happened to the poor guy. I also had a conversation with the new owners of the building. They bought it about a year ago now and they are the ones that put the alarm system in place fairly recently. They are looking to renovate it and turn it into a wedding venue. Thats going to take a hell of a lot of work! But hopefully they will be able to bring it back to its former glory. It would make a truly beautiful wedding venue, especially with the surroundings woods and lake! Anyway pal, loved the video and keep up the good work!
That bad what happened to the old man, did they catch the people and get any art work back
@@dwrowley I dont know tbh. Thats all I know sadly :( the old guy lived in the house for a few years after that before he sadly died though
Thank you for the additional information. We and other viewers of this video definitely appreciate it!
They won't want to spend anything on it in our present situation those wedding companies are losing a lot of money at the moment
@@dantephoenix1475 😢
Wow guys, what a great find. Such lovely plaster work and glass. Just shows alarms don’t alert people all the time, glad u went back in 😀
Thank you, very glad to be able to showcase it
Cool old wreck. Funny it's alarmed considering its condition. Thanks👍👏
Guess it's to protect what does remain. No problem :)
Really incredible explore, I personally would renovate the interior but leave the exterior as it looks now, even the trees, it just looks right.
Unless your the Queen with public money it would cost millions to renovate that pile
I agree, the exterior is perfect but would still need a tidy as I'm sure materials will be falling down soon enough.
When I saw the first shots of the building I was completely in awe.. It is fantastic, the peeling paint just adds to the atmosphere of the place.. I am never presumptuous but surely the place was in a state before the owner passed away? that floor and other decay is more than 5 years old? Would I go back in after the alarms had gone off? hell yes... there is so much to see..what would I do with the building as a renovation project? Probably a country retreat attached to the Golf club or something in the hospitality industry.. wedding venues, conferences etc..One thing for sure this place needs some TLC and bringing back to life for future generations to enjoy... another great video you never fail to get it right..I enjoy your work.
It's such a beautiful structure inside and out. Your renovation ideas are very interesting, thanks for those! We will continue to produce these videos for you :)
What an astounding place. It would be wonderful to see it restored to its former beauty.
The one really encouraging thing, even though it was a pain for you guys, is that if the alarm system is active someone probably still has plans for the place.
Cheer and all the best! 👍🏻👍🏻
Totally, that's a good way of looking at it. Though it was still strange that nobody turned up even after a couple of hours.
1800 bldg still better then today's modern bldg. Also loved the Birds chirping
For sure, would prefer a house like this any day of the week...
Beautiful mansion.
Isn't it!
Theres a way to tell what type of sensor it is, If it has a red light it is a motion detector which can be passed easily by moving very very slowly, if it has a blue light don't even get near it, it is a PIR which detects heat and theres no way to pass it other than going around it. If it has a red and blue light you best pray because its a combination of a PIR and a motion detector, if it has a red, yellow, green light it is a motion detector and the different lights indicate what alarm level it is at, if it is green your fine, if it is yellow you best slow down your pace, and if it is red it has been fully activated and will trip the alarm.
The one you guys were struggling with in this video at the stairwell was a PIR, and it was detecting you when you first saw it, but it wasn't seeing enough heat to trip it in the first place, but when you got close to it, it detected enough heat to trigger, and another thing about PIRs is they are all different, theres ones that can detect your from across a warehouse its just the ones you guys encountered were most likely cheap ones that couldn't detect far.
Beautiful building in a lovely remote setting. I can't imagine where you'd begin renovating a place like this but I'd love to see someone take it on.
Such a stunning property - we would love to see the same.
Great explore again lads. I love to see how the other half lived!
The problem is keeping a large property in good condition, it must cost a fortune.
It must have and the costs eventually got too high to cure. Very sad truth!
What a fascinating place in a lovely location. Beautiful bird song too!!!
Exploring in the countryside at sunset helps that relaxing ambience
All that’s missing is Annabel the doll. 😬
Would make it a Halloween special!
Some serious decay after 5 years of abandonment guess the mansion was already in decay prior to passing of last owner
Architecture was more impressive on the lower levels as why the movement sensors
Great find guys
Thanks mate, totally that was why there was even more sensors. The last owner must have been fighting to preserve the manor, and no one showed the same care after his death
This reminds me of the castle in the bbc tv series “Blot on the landscape” from the 80’s 😊👍
It's an amazing place!
Nice explore.....Great pics as usual.
No worries!
A beautiful place, thank you.
No problem :)
It’s facing directly down the corridor not even at the stairs so waking up or down them wouldn’t set it off till u got close to that room
Don’t worry about torch lights guys they won’t set off alarm sensors works on Passive Infrared not light
What a beautiful home.I love the turrets and the Curves it creates in the inside. It needs a nice bit of money poured into it to bring it back to its glory.
The curved, inner turret rooms were some of our favourites in the building.
in 5:41 you can see a blinking light before the alarm turns off if you were exploring a abandoned place and see one of these run.
Wow such a beautiful house in the uk and such a peice of history keep it up urbandoned 😁
Love these explores. Looks like a pyronix enforcer alarm clearly installed recently.
keep the videos coming and stay safe
Will do, thanks :)
Awsome video I explored this a few years back just before it was boarded up the skylight was my favourite part of the explor stay safe out there peace out 👽👍
The skylight is awesome! Thank you
That was an awesome adventure. Would be awesome if someone would restore the mansion. Love the architecture. Thanks for the awesome video 😃👍
No problem, man. Glad you liked the video and location :)
Hi guys I really enjoyed watching, it’s such a amazing building, you’ve done a great job as always. Keep up the great work and stay safe looking forward to seeing your next video. Thanks for sharing and all the best 👍
It does look a bit like a Hammer Horror movie set, though the only scary things are the collapsing floor and the banshee screams of those motion detectors! The 'kid's bedroom' looked very cell-like, even if the window hadn't been boarded up. Beautifully framed eerie shots of the interior. I know (and respect) you don't do jump scare fake outs, but this was a creepy watch for Halloween!
No problem! We don't do the 'spooky' stuff as you say but glad this one was somewhat connected to this time of year. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
That is crying out to be renovated.Could be a beautiful place again.Id save the quirky features though if I could.
We would too, those features make it so unique
Lol nice one Iv set a few off now myself
If you haven't, can't really call yourself an Urbexer!
@@Urbandoned lol yeah that’s it 👍🏻
fantastic
Good old PIR alarms 🚨
My favourite ;)
That is an amazing mansion. Great video. You are brave for going back inside
Thank you :)
One loud alarm for sure! Loved the vid
Thank you!
i kno im very late to this but this manor is absolutely beautiful shame its gone into such a state like that but i imagine the person who can see the sensors going off like "OH BLOODY HELL THAT PIGEONS SET OFF THE ALARM AGAIN THE BUGGER"
Great video! What would make this mansion amazing because of its secluded countryside location and beautiful architecture, would be to renovate it and turn it into a luxury hotel. However it would need hundreds of thousands spending on it to get it up to good standards and Accentuate its amazing features, Hopefully this place has a future!
We hope so too. That's a realistic idea in our opinion, but it would take a wealthy owner to take it over.
I don't think this type of architecture is worth saving. The building lacks of proportions. It was made to look like a castle but it has to be done very carefully with a sense of taste to not make it look "over styled". For me this is is a 1800s version of the Italian style mansion you covered in one of your videos.
Anyway that's just my opinion, good work guys I really enjoy your videos👍
I don't agree but I respect your opinion! Thanks for the kind comment :)
How was this pile heated? No signs of radiators etc. Would also be interested in basements or other none regular use areas. You guys have done a great job ,very profesinol. Cheers
run!!
Nice explore, I love the architecture and the windows, however the wallpaper is awful and it needs a good painting. I’m sure it’s rather drafty, so I’m sure in needs good insulation.
Can't see the alarms actually being monitored or responded to myself due to the cost. More of a sound only deterrent like a car alarm.
Possibly, the location is very isolated however, so maybe it took a long time for security to arrive.
@@Urbandoned I think everyone knows this location lol. I heard there was someone local who curtain twitches though and try to look after it
@@Urbandoned I work for a security company, unless there is on site security it will take ages for anyone to arrive. The alarm station has to receive the signal then pass it over to a key holder. Very unlikely they would be in the area so you would usually have a good amount of time before anyone arrives unless it's linked to police
I would renovate this place to look like it came straight out of Skyrim 😉
That would be pretty cool!
@@Urbandoned I love the world of oblivion and Skyrim
Its gone quick into dis repair also torches will never activate a P.I.R detector they look like intelligent detection sensors were you see it go orange 1st and heat and movement flies don't trigger them also they must be power in there
Thanks for letting us know! The power was probably in the lower floor near the entrance, which is where the internal alarm was.
Creepy cool
Wouldn't renovate it. Would work out a way to leave the peeling paint visible allowing it to keep the character it has gained through the many years.
Like a museum sort of thing?
@@Urbandoned Sort of it's hard to explain. Google patina effect on cars. Similar idea.
Pyronix yeah boiiiii
Most urban explorers when they set off alarms: run
Urbandoned: stop and think
Wow and sad x
Very :(
pity someone couldnt do these dull abandoned mansions into something incredible
Such a shame...
@@Urbandoned more places to explore on the good side , do u have ig?
Urbandoned_
That place would have been decaying whist the last owner was still there they cost an absolute fortune to maintain
Definitely! He would've been trying his best to maintain it's upkeep
Couldn't you guys take off the motion censors?
Ok. I don't understand. How do so many abandoned buildings have working alarms when there is no power? I mean, if they are battery operated, who goes to the abandoned buildings to replace the batteries?
The owners?
How was the alarm silenced
Pyronix Enforcer Sensor and Pyronix Deltabell oh and Pyronix Enforcer
Or a texecom
@@Goodtimes2021 could be
Pironix alarm companie will came dis place
Great video fantastic place. It would be great if you did any haunted place or said to be haunted
We could easily title our videos 'haunted' as others do, when in our eyes, it's just a simplistic way of getting more views. We'd much prefer to focus on the building itself, rather than spread rumours.
No. Keep these fascinating factual explores free of haunting rubbish.
Do you know what the castle is called?
I think it would be great to obviously leave as much original architecture as possible but renovate into a filming think tank. Writing scripts for shows or movies filmed exclusively in this building. A sort of in house studio. Maybe build a few newer buildings outside for effects shots. Would be entertaining to do. Not sure I could spend a night inside though.
That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing :)
Pyronix alarm that system is
Have you any idea what happened in this property do some homework & find out what the elderly man went through that night of being beaten & tortured buy thugs that had broken in too the property & take what they wanted.. Through is injury's the elderly man died a few weeks later in hospital.
Who on earth puts Alarms in a abandoned Mansion!?
Abandoned with a alarm?!! Weird??
We've seen it many times to be honest, mainly to protect the building from copper thieves and vandals.
