Okay Adam! :D
Laurie has caught on to Adam's plan to increase his chances of winning by playing shorter games.
I think you’re right! Haha it also helps because in a team game his odds go from 1 in 7 to 1 in 2!
@@Paper_Smith Also they increase because in a team game people can't play 'Get Adam' well they can but it hurts them as much as Adam
let's face it no one wants to see monopoly played on this channel even as a torture for adam most would not sit through 5 games of that let alone watch it
Shorter games *and* co-op/players v game games.
Tbf he also did just win a 3 on 1 game. Not every game they play needs to be a 1-2 hour long game. I like these short games, gives better variety and also hilarious when someone ends up with a role they don't want to play 3 straight times.
13:30 Love how that second 'Fail' card instantly turned the table into a scene from Reservoir Dogs.
love great moment thanks for sharing
"Can't a man be dangerously paranoid?'" Jon Gracey 2022
Adam might need to rewatch the Resolutions video from the start of the year
he said he'd win 22 out of 50 episodes of board game club, but the resolution appears to now be the much easier task of "win 22 games". i see you, Adam, and i will not let you forgo your Monopoly games.
I say if he wins 22 games, he only has to play Monopoly once.
Technically, while he did say that, he then said "I will win 22 games of Board Game Club". So it's a bit ambiguous.
Though if you want to be really pedantic, as far as I've seen, they have played no game called "Board Game Club". so he technically has not won any games of "Board Game Club".
@@sonan333 I like this pedantic interpretation, let's go with that and see our Monopoly games
@@GlenBoyle
Thanks. The only problem is he can't know about this interpretation until after the year's end, otherwise he just creates a game called "Board Game Club" that is something like "Flip a coin. If heads, I win. If tails, I win.".
It ended up worse for him anyways. Lol.
I love how Tilly is both putting her hand on her chest & saluting at the same time. True dedication to the Lord of the Board.
RIP Sully😭😂 Did the best he could despite the odds against him. Also Laurie really unraveling the whole foil of the roles. Truly iconic stuff guys!
I was thinking the same myself tbf
Laurie is insanely good at these style of games. He damn near always gets it right.
@@jackmitchell9079 I was literally about to comment this. Laurie seems to always be the most consistent smart player, regardless of if he wins or loses. I never really see him making too many game losing errors
@@ryanshatkin8906 Laurie is one of them that's really good at anticipating the others. Another one is Tom. So I enjoy watching them both.
@@Quandry1 Tom is a real delight. The Scooby Doo explanation in White Hall Mystery is one of the best NRB moments in my opinion
Aaron Judge’s chase for 62 was exciting but Adam Blampied’s chase for 22 has me on the edge of my seat
Incredible!
I mean the longer it goes he's just gonna pick games that can be played more and more
If you were hoping to see Monopoly, it's not happening
This is peak commenting. Well done, sir.
This, this, 100 times this
1:02:49 That air kiss from Brooke to Sully though 😘
It's a shame that the Quests weren't described, unlike in the Avalon episode from the Zoom era. No search for bleach or for a toilet to clean with said bleach once it's been acquired...
Still a fun video and I enjoyed it immensely, though!
our game club does that for Avalon and I thought that was a homebrew thing our club did... guess not
NRB has very quickly become my favourite YT channel
Always excited to see whether Jon's nails are serving this week, and lo, they are. They are excellent
Again sully gives a very good 4-6 minute explanation on how to play at the beginning…. 2 minutes later adam goes over all the same stuff sully just said in the intro 😂😂😂😂
I remember Avalon, when Brooke confessed to something that made me laugh so hard I nearly passed out.
It was only 7 times!
@@crpCph Oh I’d never spoil this for anyone. One of the many show stealing moments Brooke Bourgeois has had on this channel. An utter legend.
36:45 "Is that a lie, Holly?" and she nods lmao
Body language!
In that last game I honestly thought Laurie was Arthur. The way he kept zeroing in on Brooke without much defense for it made it seem like he knew she was Le Fay even before the very suspicious two-fail quest.
I should never have doubted his misdirection skills. Choosing to give her leadership was calculated.
I'll say this w certainty. Adam learned how to be a great promo from his other love (pro wrestling).
He's just so good on the stick. Ty bro for creating nrb. And bringing such an excellent roster.
This channel has brought alot of joy to many.
He's also done a good job of making himself the heel on this channel. No wonder people want him to lose and play Monopoly five times in a row.
@@ricardovillon1189 yeah he's good at playing the heel. Leaned into it. But like mjf, he's a heel you'll root for
@@kurtwagner1915 He's a natural heel just like MJF and The Miz.
It was actually the most fun game to play along! Unlike many other social deduction games like thing or dead of winter, in this game guessing roles is the point of the game, and unlike Clocktower i can choose to not know the roles
Call me a massive nerd but i spent about two hours watching this video and pausing it from time to time to make tables and draw elaborate scemes of who can and can’t be particular roles. At the end of 2nd game i also had 5 lists of which player is which role, and i actually had all the evil players got correctly in the first list!
I just wanted to share cuz i really enjoyed that :)
Clocktower you can search player perspective if you want to be part of deducting :)
NRB so far only made storyteller perspective
1:08:22 and 1:21:17 brilliant communication from Sully. That lie defended Jon and informed him about his allegiance AND exact role. Really clever
Next up Adam will be playing Rock Paper Scissors until he gets 4 more wins! XD
LOARD OF THE BOARD! 🙌
And JON! This is amazing!
Oh Sully... How dare you not stand!
Laurie's ability to solve these games is astonishing
Maybe I missed it but did Tilly forget that Sully was evil when she saw him at the start of round 2 😂 She really went in on Adam first without even considering that Sullivan was Morgan 😂
Well, Tilly knew there was a Blind Hunter in play, and Sully and Holly (not Brooke, tho) did narrow down the Youth and Cleric to her and Adam, so she couldn't throw too much suspicion on him or she would possibly get identified.
It's nice to see Sulli-oven has become a "co host"
This game seems insanely hard for the evil team to win, its just so stacked against them.
Yeah - I much prefer Avalon, with the right setup, to this. I've played... a lot of Avalon, and was looking into Quest.
I am looking no longer 😅
Yeah unless good does silly tactics (like the search for evil), the magic gives good a really strong chance to build a voting bloc. The first success is guaranteed whoever isn't magicked isn't going to put in a fail anyway unless they have to. Good as a team is basically just searching for no more than 2 potential evils for the 4th quest (so they can magic one), and likely already having 2 successes by that point from the freebie and 1 of the 2 other quests just by chance.
Once evil crosses the hump of Quest 4 though victory I think swings back into their odds.
Tuesday ... 19:00 sharp ... and go! Board game club!
You are from Central Europe! Cool, where?
the way Brooke winks and blows Sully a kiss at 1:02:49 is what does it for me
Ah, now I shut my eyes in order to play along so missed that.😂
Laurie should pick the games from now on to ensure no shenanigans.
Holly two swans instead of too sweet is the funniest thing ever! 😂😂😂
That last round of Morgan eyeballing "The Trickster" is soooooooooooooooo cute!!!!
The too sweet bananza there for a minute was great lol
"ehhhh is this a wrestling thing?"
Yes Jon it most certainly is.
I think if Adamdoes the Monopoly gambit again next year, I think his win loss record for episodes like this should be 1 win/loos if he wins/losses most of the games in the session.
Oh my gosh Holly on the thumbnail ❤❤❤
I'll say the second vote in the video, Sullivan broke the rules and put a fail card when he was magic-ed
It’d be a real shame (pleasure) if the gang played a game of coup in person
Reckon they should play Escape the Dark Sector. That’ll put Adam back on the L-train. 😅
Additional point: Did Adam notice that OUTRAGEOUS flirting of Brooke with his boyfriend Sully?
If Adam gets out of Monopoly, we huff! 🤣
The blind hunter should havd gotten to hunt in that last game. Adam made a blunder flipping his card over.
True
Yeah I'm confused, why did they skip that?
Excitement and being human so they forgot
If I understand the Blind Hunter correctly, the role only comes into play if the game ends with good's last stand. The Hunter can act before the good team gets to make their guesses. I wasn't able to find the official rules online, so this is just from reading the forum's on BGG. It also seems there are different rules based on player count.
edit: I looked at the text on the Blind Hunter card when Adam shows it in game 2, and it does say they can activate the hunt during the Final Quest, which is that bit where good gets a last chance at winning.
@@Hazzarius Good won 3 missions; they auto win
Tilly's outfit looks very nice
Also it could be just that blue is my favourite colour and I think that anything blue in colour looks great
Loved the Monty Python references. Very Classy. 😂
I AM BEYOND THRILLED!!! Deception games are by far the best board games to watch, and a different version of Avalon is great. I would legit watch multiple games of Avalon, Coup, Secret Hitler etc every day I promise. xD
I KNEW Holly was Arthur in that last round! It seemed weird that someone normally so vocal was suddenly so quiet. Almost like she really didn’t want to draw attention to herself…
People on Adam's team are going to need to start tanking if we want to get him to play Monopoly at this rate!
Loving the Monty Python references from Sully in the intro.
I love watching these people every week
.... but can we not all agree that we want to see Adam play monopoly
I find it interesting that they're simulating a reality (in the third game) in which nobody in the kingdom knows who the king is. I wonder how the king ever gets anything done.
Big oof from Brooke basically outing herself and Sullivan as evil at the end with that not magicing him play
Also, well played Tilly that second game. Acting like she had no knowledge of Sullivan showing her evil
I think she could have thrown a spanner in the works by magicing herself and sell it as an experiment. She could still have played a fail since she was Morgan. But those games are always tricky and I think taking Jon instead of Sully would have thrown suspicion on Jon.
She had no good options.
She was basically forced to take Sully (or Jon) and *not* magic either of them. The quest needed two fails and evil would instantly lose otherwise.
With that in mind, all that remained was the excuse why.
It’s the best time of the week! ITS BAIRD GAME CLUB!!!! ❤
poor tilly's analysis paralysis 😭 me too girl
The Lord of the Board returns! Yay!
This game seems heavily stacked against bad guys.
Good guys insta win if there are 3 missions won.
Good guys still have a chance to win if 3 missions failed.
Good guys automatically have a Hunter if they lose. Better yet, they all become Hunters that is not restricted by guessing correct roles.
In this group Blind Hunter has 33% chance to outright lose a game if he guesses one of the bad guys. Blind Hunter CAN'T hunt if good guys win. Which is outright stupid. This way there is no way for bad guys to have a chance of winning. Blind Hunter have to hunt only when bad guys already winning. He has to guess EXACT roles of two good guys. So it means there is NO point in using Blind Hunters ability at all if don't know EXACTLY roles of the good guys. Blind Hunter is literally garbage role that only ruins the game for bad guys, while somewhat restricting good guys's investigation roles from telling the info.
I think to make this game a bit more fair Blind Hunter should be just Hunter, he could see his companions and hunt when the good guys have won on the missions.
Edit 10 months later: Yeah, Changeling also should know who are the other bad guys as he is just hindrance to the team early game. He can change shape, he still has eyes.
Best CZcams channel I've come across in years, keep the videos coming!
Everyone knows that famous Bullet Club catchphrase: 2 swans me bro
two swans woo woo
I'm looking forward to December being Quest Month when Adam gets desperate.
Man I love tilly's reaction in this! The feeling of achievement she gets when something goes right 😀
It's rude to call others liars... but the NRB players are very skilled at... bluffing, shall we say. Your play already has me considering to buy Quest. I like it's rules variations from other similar social deduction games like The Resistance, etc. It's always a joy to watch your group twist itself into knots, agonizing over who to trust and who to blame. Also, I never look to see who plays which roles to keep the surprises and suspense in play for myself Anyone else refuse to look?
Another episode to surmount the mountain of great NRB content! Cheers.
Classic adam, bending the rules to his favor 😂
Holly's move on the third mission was really cool. Playing chicken with the evil team to either make them out themselves or gibe the good team a success :D it was dope
You are a BAAAAD EGG BROOKE! I was fucking rolling lmao amazing episode
Just recently found this show and I find it to be quite good. Sometimes you get a little boisterous for my taste, but that is ok; you're having fun. I find Tilly to be my favorite, she seems to be the most mellow and has a beautiful elegance about her. She reminds of Diana Rigg; whom I have always have thought was the epitome of an English woman. Anyways, I've been playing boardgames since the 1970's (I was playing 1st edition D&D when that was the only edition). Seeing you all playing warms the heart that d&d , call of cthulhu and wargames are still alive and thriving. In fact, one of the first dates that I took my wife of 26 years on, was a call of cthulhu adventure. Will continue to watch your channel; cheers from the United States.
In the 2nd game evil should've known they were toast and outed themselves and helped Brooke figure out the roles
Didn't they say the blind hunter had to pick 2 good people?
@@SullySideUp yeah but 3 people trying to figure it out have a higher chance of success than just 1
And if sully sees his own thumb…he is the cleric xD love it lol
One player, three separate evil rounds. That's a rough go lol.
Looking forward to December's board game video of the cult classic board game "Rock, Paper, Scissors".

Adam has 18 wins.
@@stingersplash this is only YT. His one win is in a Patreon game. I would count that if I know other participants as well because then I would also have to count their losses.
@@happenable oh I see, but well it counts for the wins so :/ ?
@@diamondsky3787 yeah it counts for his year wins, but I can't count it unless I know all the competitors in it who lost. The math will not add up if I only add 1 win to Adam without adding losses to other players.
There are another 2 losses that we never see on YT but it is on Adam's board. I have not counted them as well because if I count them, I should know who won that game as well which I don't beacause I am not a patreon. This us why I have written "only YT" in brackets.
Ever since this intro was first used, I always noticed the first guy in the window looking at the camera wondering wtf is going on. I wonder if he ever figured it out.
that guy is my spirit animal
The next video will be "playing 10 co-op games in 90 minutes" just to inflate Adam's score 😂 No but really, this is the kind of game I love seeing from you guys: ones that make you paranoid and sus of each other the entire time 😁
Apparently there's errata for the Quest endgame that would've changed the way the 2nd and 3rd game ended, making the game a little more balanced, perhaps. Nonetheless, excellent episode of BGC as always - this cast truly brings social deduction games to another level
I like how they explained the rules at the start then immediately stopped using them. Either it was explained incorrectly or they're bad at following instructions
If you don't get enough wins, four words:
Insane. Monopoly. Pyramid. Scheme.
Order yourself a double whiskey and just think about your life…. Burn 😂😂😂😂
too sweet, such a great wrestlng refrence to the good brothers and bullet club of NJPW
Join us next week on board game club where we play Snap!
Straight in with the Monty Python quote. I bloody love the pants off of this channel.
Would LOVE to watch you guys play Shadows Over Camelot!
17:34 Whatcha gonna do. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you...
In that second game Laurie outed himself as trouble so much when he accused Holly and didn't even raise possibility of troublemaker he just said evil (she then didn't claim trouble so he could run with it but as a hunter I had that figured) I MIGHT have guessed cleric because Tilly had a world view of Sully being good at one point and then unquestionally said to pick him but that one would have me knowing sully was evil which I don't think I would be sure of. The other two wouldn't have had a clue
these games seem so hard for the evil teams to win
but got are they fun to watch
And on today's episode of "Sully, are you evil?"
Big props for the Monty Python reference in the opening explanation.
Poor Tilly and her brutal AP
Does anyone else notice that the first piece of audio on the board game club episodes is EXTREMELY loud? It scares me every time I watch one of these lol.
Second game is a classic with laurie again taking the role of the Cassandra
Great Video. I had so much fun while watching. Please continue playing social deduction games ;)
Brooke in glasses 😍
Lol...3 minute team games to get the Adam Win Count up, LFG!
Shuffle those cards poor Sully XD
20:45 - The Queen of Kings returns, complete with hand gestures!
This game's balance is broken. This was my first thought during explanation and I still feel strongly that way after watching you play all 3 games. Adam's lucky this time. If he was on the evil team - it's a 95% loosing chance. Not a good game... Sad part is - not sure how to fix this. Maybe a combination of fixed characters for different number of players? Maybe taking away one amulet check...
I was thinking it's very good team sided, too. I think the good team should do more to win, maybe pass at least four or five missions. It would make the game longer, also, and it would give the bad team more time to hide and then find the opportunity to betray
The publisher changed the intended rules to make it more similar to Avalon, against the designer's wish. The published rules even have balance problems that the publisher had to release corrections to update them. The designer released a "Director's Cut" of the rules which are closer to the intended way to play.
The original idea of the game was a variant of Avalon that put the GOOD team at a disadvantage, but with a couple hail mary plays in their back pocket. When the publisher changed it, it basically made it unwinnable for Evil. The Director's cut rules are the best way to play but unfortunately that makes the whole thing very confusing for people interested in the game.
@@PandaJed1 interesting! Do you know what's the difference in the 'director's cut' rules?
@@sofiipote7 the main difference is team ratios and the number of players on missions. There's always an equal number of Evil or MORE evil players than good, which skews it more in evils favor. The boards that describe each mission are all different, and there's a couple other minute changes. My version of the game came with both the regular and directors cut rules and boards
@@PandaJed1 I believe another change is to always add the blind hunter and always give the option to hunt. So in the last game here, Jon would be allowed to sniff out two gooders... I haven't played myself yet but general consensus seems to be that the directors cut is the only sane way to play.
Where’s Rosie? I miss her intense madness.
I wish you guys would do more videos of other types of games besides social deduction/hidden traitor types
He didn’t make it obvious that after the blind hunter they wouldn’t go into the pointing session, I think that Brooke wouldn’t have called yes if she knew
I never realised how good Sullivan is at lying.
I honestly think all the games of Clocktower have upped his social deduction game skills considerably. He's truly impressive at this point.
So a lil cute thing happened here. Stop reading if you're looking for surprises on the evil front.
When Sully and Brooke are evil together, she blows him a little kiss and reassuring nod. I think those kids are gonna make it.
Holly. The shoes. Need to see more.
"I'm not playing Monopoly" says the man who knows guilt over scoring almost all of his wins in shotgun games where a majority of the players at the table get a win will both push him towards calling out his actions shamefully.... And knowing the content he's set up at this point is too dramatically good to abandon. Oops.
28:36 Was that a Rage Against the Machine reference? Nice
Not sure about the magic rule, but I looove the not voting rule. This looks like a great alternative to Avalon.
I'm a simple man. I see Holly on the thumbnail - I click.
Indeed. Blair aside she's my favourite.
Hopefully not to jinx a recording session that has already happened but man, Adam is on a hotstreak.
