That slot in the back looks like it would fit a tritium vial!
I have replaced my edc with this Olite Diffuse and the "screwdriver slot" happens to fit a 1.5mm - 6mm tritium vial perfectly. I have added a vial to both of the Diffuse I have purchased using UV resin to secure them without any issue and for the first time in history I can find my Olite in the dark.
I was just looking at this and wondering about it. Thanks for the review!
I also just saw this on their Black Friday sale and was wondering about it so thanks!😊
Thanks for all of your great content. I appreciate the infor. One note though...capacity of a battery is calculated multiplying the voltage X the amp hour to get to the normalized unit of watt hour. So the olight battery actually has more capacity than the enoloop. Battery mfg'ers should just use watt hour to reduce confusion.
This is one Olight I may try. I like the look of Olight flashlights but the proprietary mag charger they use on most of there lights have always been a compleat deal breaker for me. But this one not having exposed contacts on the tail is a big plus and no proprietary charger is a big win. I have lots of streamlights just because I cant get over Olight charging.
This looks pretty good
The slot at the back is for a tritium insert. Happy to see olight designing something that adds more options and shapes.
I like having a flush light handy and find the AA lights great to throw in a bag. My preference is end cap button because less likely to get turned on by accident.
My EDC pocket light is the reylight aaax2 penlight, I haven't found any other light with a proper deep carry pocket clip.
They made an Oclip. This is the NOclip.
Seriously, what are they thinking? I want to like this light, but I need a clip. Wish they had done an AA version of the Oclip…
how is it in term of size comparison with the i3T?
This is a successor to the S1A.
Too bad Diffuse doesn't have a pocket clip. So I prefer my old S1A
You failed to mention that it also has a strobe light setting.
Thanks for your review. Does the flashlight remember the last brightness setting used when it's turned on?
Yes
I hope it can come with a pocket clip
Sometimes the ability to have a torch you can pick up a couple of spare batteries at a local shop is a big plus.
The only rechargeable AA's I've found to be decent are the Panasonic enaloop?
you can also get Ikea's Ladda which are basically rebranded eneloops
@lesslighter OK, that's good to know, thanks.
keep in mind if you put light on steep hill it can still roll away even thought its square, however a smaller hill is fine just be careful
Real talk.
That’s a life lesson right there mate
Thanks Professor

Same with a car. Those you REALLY want to be careful with around steep hills, commonly referred to as cliffs. But yeah on smaller hills, they usually stay upright pretty well on average and tend not to roll end over end. At least in my experience, but maybe I’ve just been lucky.
No tail cap clicky, no interest.
Its a downgrade from the old S1A
I'm no expert but it's not designed to be comaprable to the S1A...
The era of round lights....IS OVER
