Ash has a personality. She is cold, calculated, does not give a rip about anyone but this isn’t entirely her. Reid is still crying out from the inside. Playing her, you’ll notice that she constantly has voicelines, something objecting to Ash’s philosophy. Ash is what remains of a person who allowed her scientific aspirations trump who she really was. This led her to attempting to kill her closest ally. She got so wrapped up in the possibilities that she closed herself out, making who Ash is now, a tomb. Hell, her face is modeled to look like the Porcelain death masks of old. Notice every time she removes it, she goes haywire. Realizing that on the inside of this tomb is still a waking creature trying to find its way out before her tomb puts back its mask and silences her once again. Ash is two characters. A little crazy, right? Yeah, Ash is a bit of a slate, so is a tombstone. What makes her interesting is the little voice inside reminding you she may not be done for after all.

The death sythe is cool dont get me wrong but in the case for ash theres just better alternatives than nunchucks and given the fact that it came out just after shadiversity ended his series about why nunchucks are WAY TOO OVERRATED and just a bad weapon to use in general its just even more lackluster
His argument was basically you can pick up a stick a deal more damage while not endangering youself or having anything backfire mid duel AND the fact that nunchucks take years to learn and even longer to master when you can pick up a fine stick and have just as much force if not more and be able to use it effectively and efficiently in about 5 seconds into the fight

I think the only reason they used nunchucks was because they couldn't think of anything else that a ninja used but there's allot of different things that she could have had for an heirloom that would've been better than nunchucks

She isn’t a “dry” character, personality yes, but that is a purposeful choice, she’s cold and calculated, with her personality split into her human- caring fearful and compassion under the thumb of the, machine, assassin that she has become (this is if you ignore her titanfall lore completely, which it feels like you did to an extent). Her personality as far as her attitude, absolutely, but it’s on purpose. As for the heirloom it’s really great, although it lacks titanfall lore is at the very least high B- A tier in quality.

she's really not as dry as you say, she has so many different connections to people, she's the reason we have horizon, she's the reason the story is moving forward at the moment, ash was a human turned simulacrum who worked for the Apex predators, when she was killed on typhon, she was somehow salvaged by blisk who then had to decommission her again until we put her back together in the games, at which point she brought us arenas, and now she has a massive internal dilemma between the two minds of Ash and Dr. Reid. Her voice is monotone in game because she is a stone cold, battle hardened killer who never looses focus and who has seen more combat and trauma than most people can fathom. but to call her a dry character is an absolutely absurd and incorrect statement. And for the record i say all this and i don't even main ash, i main Wattson.

They can't give another sword to her just for the same reason like Loba, Loba can use her staff as an ability, so it wouldn't make too much sense as a heirloom...same story with Ash, she can use her sword as an ability so she can't get a sword heirloom.
Both of them got a such a nice heirloom with great lores behind them and totally matches to their personality, so I don't get why anyone's thinkin Ash's heirloom is the worst or whatsoever...

As a titanfall player this hurt me. Deeply.
The Pathfinder lines aren't there as filler, they are there because in the lore Pathy was the one who found Ash after she was destroyed & helped her get restored to fighting form... I think the Pathy quotes are dope knowing the lore! I just starting playing Ash last week & I must say I love her kit, she's so much fun! Nothing is more fun than snarring a movement legend & watching them panic trying to use their movement & go nowhere then get smoked!.!.!

There was already 2 players claiming to be the only 2 ash mains, so as someone who plays Ash regularly, I like her personality. She's a no-nonsense character with focus, efficiency and mastery being her main concerns, making the heirloom quite fitting for her. Nunchuks require focus and skill to wield and to not knock yourself out by bonking your own head, so it's like an embodiment of what Ash is about.
I just think everyone is overreacting because they wanted a sword or the rat or even another knife (personally I would have wanted a karambit knife but nunchucks are dope too)

For me anyways, nunchucks fits perfectly for her. So basically Ash thrives on being the very best at everything, killing is her specialty and doing it with blades is super easy for her, but throw in nunchucks, an extremely difficult weapon to yield let alone deal critical strikes that can kill a human, and the fact that one of her inspects even goes sumn like “another weapon I have mastered” just boosts that she is indeed proud of being able to wield and efficiently use such a complicated weapon that of course she’d flourish it around instead of a standard katana or sword that even a nobody can kill with

Never played Titanfall, but knowing about this connection adds to Ash. I like the little detail of the first name being split and representing that they are two different minds but are still overall one person. And I enjoy the internal banter they share with each, but it has me curious.
With Leigh still floating within the mind of Ash, it makes me wonder if some future even could cause the two to switch places, leaving Ash stuck within and Leigh finally having control, but lacking all the skills Ash has for survival. Essentially, could the two somehow swap positions, and force Ash to canonically be a backseat gamer for both of them to survive? Probably won't happen, as they would have to rewrite every single line of dialogue for such a change, but it would make for an interesting story and some newt character development.

Ash main here...the heirloom 100% fits her personality. She's a martial artist and one of the hardest weapons to master are nunchucks. The animations are fluid when changing from crouch to standing, the animations when She's pulls it out is neat, and the inspects are also top notch. My 1 and only complaint about it is we only see 1 half of it when running with blade residing in the weapon.

It's cause its all ready part of her kit ill say this giving loba another staff would be stupid just to have it as an heirloom and the same can be said for ash. she's a martial artist so giving her one of the hardest weapons to master and filling out her kit with some just as dangerous as a knife or sword is perfectly fine giving her a new sword or anything along the lines of a bladed weapon wouldn't make sense

A lot of people apparently don't know this but ash's heirloom references how she maintains focus as you hear her talk about focus in her character select screen and her quotes also to use nunchucks it requires a lot of focus, so it actually fits in well with her character
A bo-staff would have been better than and itd be a nice relation to revanants sythe
1 has a blade the other doesnt
Your not sacrificing the focus symbolism either since the staff can be just as deadly and require more focus
In fact youd be adding more philosophy to the characters by making it be a bo-staff too
1 is a staff with a blade symbolizing revanant to be more aggressive and less focused
The other is a staff without the blade symbolizing ash to be more precise and more focused
One requires and delivers a quick messy kill
One requires focus and concentration to hit the targets weakpoints to deal just as much if not more damage to the target

All of the heirlooms are very good so it's hard to rate one as the worst.
